Reliability is a myth. If you take care of your car, no matter what brand it is, it's going to last. Modern cars are built very, very well. Building standards for cars are the highest they've ever been. It's almost impossible to make a terrible car even if you tried. People are just doing what the people from the 60s did when Toyota came into the Philippines. They made fun of anyone buying Toyota's and said they were junk. History repeats itself again.

For me I experience Ford the problem is transmission engine they more Focus in interior but the quality of engine is not good Enough ,while Toyota simple interior but tested that good quality esp in engine long last

The infotainment system is not the basis of Good Performance on the Road. Sa OVERTAKE, kain usok si Territory mo. Cross is a 1.8engine and Territory is only 1.5. Hellow? Gets mo na kung saan inilagay ni Toyota ang cost nya? Its not on its looks... but on its performance on the road. You cannot compare Territory to a Cross because in terms of Performance lalamunin ka nyan. The Cross is like a CRV sa daan. Lalagpasan ka nyan sa isang PITIK lang. Montero and Sedans nga di maka-ek sa overtakes eh... 50-120km/hr isang pitik nya lang. Imagine 120km/hr sa slow to fast overtakes? Nganga ka. I have a Cross.. and gaya nyu, nagtaka din ako sa price versus features ng Cross and Territory.. but now I know. Toyota focused its price on the performance on the road. Sa BILIS... o BTW, mabilis na sya but still within the 15km/liter FC pa rin sya both on city & highways. The more na mabilis ka, the more na matipid sya. But, like Nokia, they just sticked to what they're used to and now they're trying to catch up with android but is already too late. Same with Toyota and other brands. In my opinion, if they won't catch up and be innovative with their tech and design like Ford and Geely for cheap, they will sure be left out by these innovative manufacturers. They're talking about the DCT in the Fiesta and Ecosport. To be fair, there is no known problem on Ford's CVT (yet). So it's not fair to fault Territory on that transmission's problem. ... and for everyone's info, our Fiesta is plagued by the DCT problem, it broke in the 6th year. It was replaced by Ford for free though out of warranty. I hated Ford's after market and at one time, swear not to buy another Ford, but my experience with our Fiesta makes me want to give Ford another shot. Bottom line, to me the transmission (problem or issue) doesn't matter much... Bumawi naman yung Ford so ok lang

As I could see, 2020/2021 will be a highly competitive battle for the crossover market, with the entrance of the Chinese car manufacturers into the Philippine market, giving the tried and tested Japanese/Korean car manufacturers a jolt, how will the buying public react? Will there be a shift of preference among the buyers? Bottom line, this will be very good for all of us (buyers) as every car manufacturer will try to battle it out themselves, in order to win over the market. It might as well be the last time, I will be buying an ICE(internal combustion engine) vehicle, since the trend globally will shift to BEV(battery electric vehicles) in 5-10 years time. If you notice, every car manufacturer is slowly shifting to smaller displacement turbo-charged engines, while Toyota is introducing more and more of their hybrid technology to their vehicles. This might as well be the last ICE vehicles many will buy (for those people who are keeping their cars for 10 years or more like myself).

Early DCTs haunted all car brands from hyundai to BMW.. It was not just a ford ecosport problem..

Yes in the Philippines ford is a competitor because most people who buys car in the ph does not do alot of research and are easily attracted to features, looks and price range. Nkt considering the reliability and durability of the vehicles. Trust me ford territory is a rebranding of a cheap car from china. Geely and mg are way better and offers cheap prices. Ford is desperate, they partnered with a 3rd rate unknown motor company to produce cars similar with geely and mg. As you know ford does not sold in US and in China. Why?? Because they are rebranding cars ftom a 3rd rate company in china only most people from ph buys this and thinks this is good. The muffler are even fake on the rear the real pipe is located under the car! Before you buy this car please do a lot of research.!

15-20 yrs ago, in the construction, mining, and heavy transport businesses, they were dominated by fuso, isuzu, and hino...but now chinese howo, foton, sinotruk, etc are kings.. The same with our buses now lile kinglong, higer etc. And the trend is now present in the light trucks with foton, jmc, dongfeng etc pushing aside L300, K2500,H100. And now with their competetive models and pricing in our local passenger car market, chinese cars might dominate again.. btw Ford Territory is a chinese car 100%.

Gusto ko sana bumili ng Corolla cross hybrid TOTL (not the G) para maka tipid sa gas kaya lang baka ma bash ako Hahaha. For me yung hybrid lang ang worth bilhin sa Toyota other models don't offer advantage for the price vs competition (except for the badge). Now if Chinese brands can bring in hybrids that will be worth waiting for!

There's also a big price difference between the hybrid Cross vs. Ford Territory Titanium+
