Been a long time sub of LTT, watched all the backstage stuff and wan shows and had a general gist of who does what and how everything is done but only after watching this video do I truly appreciate how much work and effort has gone in to making what many LTT subs take for granted.
That. I've watched about 90% of LTT's videos ever since right after their move into the residential place they had in the good ol days. Before watching this I would have said I had a pretty good idea of what ittakes for one of their videos to reach my screen. I would have been wrong. My respect for the entire LTT team AND for Linus as a CEO just went way up. Thanks, Steve & Team. Also: I would love to hear how this compares to Steve's workflow - which (I assume, probably wrongly!) is maybe a little less complex ... ?

I remember the time i was watching linus in some storage space at some company called ncix he was just a guy reviewing cheap products for a company(That has gone bust) Today, he has a his own business with 30 people working for him, i absolutely respect the guy he has worked hard to be where he is now and absolutely deserve this Linus, your are the Man
F B in fairness, Linus had put out a video answering that very question, asking everyone (give or take) what they do and how they are essential to the business. What was even more refreshing was that, in general, Linus could answer both questions better than they could.
The most liberating feeling. Take a 1-mile barefoot walk on occasion, yeah the blisters will suck, but the way your feet will feel for months after is awesome.

Honestly they should be so thankful for Riley, ever since he's joined the team i feel like production quality has upped exponentially. Not to mention TechLinked is a huge success. Not to down anyone else's content because it's all good. I just personally feel like Riley always puts out bangers

Love them or hate them, LTT really has their shit together. I'm really impressed by the operation, even if a lot of the content is uninteresting to me.
This is awesome. It's so easy to rip on Linus, the content, and their decisions, but RED cameras didn't come out of nowhere. Those decisions you hate don't come out of nowhere. Everything, including the BTS about those decisions are delivered from inside the machine so the perspective and scale don't exactly come across. This objective rundown of the daily work really conveys the scale of the entire operation and honestly, it's a lot more impressive than I'd imagined. It took 16 minutes of quickfire listing to explain what goes into one video. Big thanks to GN for making this. Much respekk leenus
I love seeing people of the same industry cover each other like this. You each work in separate niches of the area, but can still come together. On the flip side, I would love to see a video of you tearing them down like you do major tech companies (yes, i know that will never happen).
Sometimes I take for granted how much work is needed for LTT's videos and to pull off to publish at least 1 video per day. That Switch on Linus' desk tho.
I've honestly moved away from LTT content over the years but can't refute the fact they did a lot for the tech community and I'm happy to see they have had stable growth. This was an interesting behind the scenes look at the work don there, thanks GN.

I have no idea why LMG never produced such an in-depth video production BTS, but thank you! That was really detailed and overall nicely done! Every now and then I need to be reminded just how much work goes into a video, because their videos have a certain vibe that makes it feel like it's just a couple of buddies shooting stuff for TH-cam. Which is a good thing, I don't want them to get all official and crap.

I love watching LTT vids because they are the only youtube channel that I know (maybe there is more) where their video ratio aspect takes almost the full screen of my galaxy s10 and I could run up to 4k! Amazing

As someone who has worked in professional studios for television and cinema I have to say this has to be the worst organized I've seen so far. But also the most relaxed one! ;D PS.: to the kiddies about to scream at me... I mean things like people moving around during a take (and therefor may produce a sound, block a light or simply distract an actor) & stuff like that. Do that twice in a movie set and you are fired.
late 1 year but, That's true, distracting actor from their job is the worst thing could happen in cinema and tv stuff. but LTT is basically it, its fun because linus distracted by the writer giggling in the back and it was the core of techlinked shouting riley or james

This was awesome! As a videographer myself and working on more events and corporate shoots where we don't do any scripting or anything like that, this was awesome to watch and learn from. Nice to see the cameramen getting some love, really not an easy job, my primary job and then also editing. Amazing to see how much goes into, "Just a youtube channel" Video. This was awesome! As a videographer myself and working on more events and corporate shoots where we don't do any scripting or anything like that, this was awesome to watch and learn from. Nice to see the cameramen getting some love, really not an easy job, my primary job and then also editing. Amazing to see how much goes into, "Just a youtube channel" Video. Thanks for this awesome video.

Big thanks to GN for covering this kind of interesting, not exactly tech news kind of information. Really makes me appreciate all the work both obvious and behind the scenes that organizations like LMG do to bring content to viewers. The pressure seems pretty intense to keep up such a tightly packed schedule almost 24/7. We are lucky to have people like Steve, Linus, and everyone involved in both companies.
