#LinusTechTips #StudiosUndone #StudioTour - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
Thanks for coming by! Was an absolute pleasure hosting y'all!! - LS
Hey Guys look it's Linus..
A great collaboration. You guys fit well.
It got a little too Canadian at 21:58, but overall great video!
What happened to the Blackmagic cameras?
Ask Alex about his double-sided tape for the rug! He mentioned it in a PC World interview :D
we failed to mention how good the studio smelled upon arrival... it was a blend of mahogany and pot roast.
lol So it was really just good BBQ smell, the wood smoked kind. Probably the smell of what they eat everyday.
@@SamBorgman It's the Canadian way!
With slight undertones of maple?
Like roasted pot :)
Swear to God I read monogamy at first
This is a really interesting tour! So cool seeing all the different sets from a different perspective. It's incredible that they've built up to such a well-oiled video production machine. Good stuff. 24:50 I love how Linus switched to taking to the camera haha good chemistry. Keep these tours coming Gerald!
We need a tour of @Diyperks !!!
@@DrWasim My studio is a single 3m x 4m room, so there's not much to show off 😆
@@DIYPerks Pleasure is often found in the smaller things 😊
@@DrWasim That's what I tell myself too /j
Thanks so much!
Huge fan of your content, by the way! 🤓🙏
He's goofy as hell (which I love dearly), but it's also evident at all times just how damn sharp Linus is. There are certainly a lot of content creators that have leaned their craft and work within that paradigm, but he's is a dude who can solve problems in a hundred different capacities. It's always cool to see different sides of that.
Yea, dude runs a tight ship while still being fun
Problem is he has still yet to hire anyone at his level. On the WAN show he was complaining that there's nobody on his team who can fact-check scripts/videos as good as him. He still treats the organization as a way to empower him rather than a machine that runs itself. (See also - him personally approving the specific model of lamp they buy for the set.)
@@ssl3546 I believe as of recently he's made a point to stop acting in that role. Like a couple months back he hired a new member to act as CEO to take over management, though he still retains full ownership of the company.
@@ssl3546 Yeah he was saying that he has this side to himself, and wants to stop, wants to give out control. That is one of several reasons he stepped down as CEO.
I think it's also dependent on which channel you look at. It seems like Mac Address, TechLinked, Superfun are more or less run by their "owners" while linus is more involved in the main channel and maybe the younger channels like GameLinked.
Really impressed with how knowledgeable Linus is with his non-pc equipment despite it being deligated to several others for the past few years and having to also act as CEO the whole time.
#Lienus
It's all fake man, they feeding him answers to make him look good.
Here's the proof:
th-cam.com/video/pYQtusd8deU/w-d-xo.html
I think him being the CEO is precisely why he knows so much. Now that he has stepped down to CVO he will likely be less involved with the minute details of every department
@@WyattWinters I think CEOs typically don't pay attention to such details like what brand of lights are on the ceiling or c-stand right hand rules. They just pay their staff to think about those details so they can focus on running the company.
@@veryboringname. I've seen both types of CEO's. It all depends on the person and the goal of thier drive.
@@psedog Yup, it's about the type of person Linus is, not just him being the CEO, that makes him knowledgeable about various things.
Love how the battery died right when Linus was talking about SD Cards. How ironic
At first I thought it was a gag, the fact that it actually is hilarious.
@@tristinyaeger9222 The whole flashlight?
Especially since it messed up something on the SD card.
You kinda shocked me when you legitimately didn't understand why a media production company has props and costumes on hand near their sets.
To be fair to him, He's more of a practical numbers and spreadsheets and s*** kind of person, not a media production company, and he doesn't have to play through the algorithm anywhere near as much as Linus does
@@the_undead Not sure what any of that has to do with my comment. Guy goes into a prop house with multiple production stages and is surprised when he finds costumes and props. Common sense seems like such a rare thing on TH-cam.
Petition to see more Gerald x Linus collab content. Such great chemistry, so much nerdy content!
Linus has grate chemistry with everyone
The fact that they both let each other speak, as in front of camera personalities, is something to both admire and highly respect.
Great to see Gerald going out there and visiting smaller creators on the platform!
Judging by how knowledgeable that guy is, this team is getting big in no time.
Hope to see more of that guy in the future
In this economy they won’t make it another week
Nah, he got the enthusiasm but not the skills. We'll never see him after this video.
Literally smaller creators 😂
This is the best studio tour of LTT on TH-cam i have even seen. So many jokes, funny staff an more :D Thanks Gerald :)
This is fantastic! Love seeing this kind of view!
@@GeekyViking me too 🥹
I'm obsessed with these big name content creators suddenly crapping themselves when gerald comes into the studio to judge their setups loool I feel like I'm seeing a side to them you don't often see
Not easy when a 10ft giant starts questioning you on gear choices.
perfectly encapsulated at that part around 22:45 that ended with "Linus, I don't care what these rooms were gonna be. Let me ask you some questions that matter, okay?"
Linus was not crapping himself lol
lol what are you talking about linus was as chill as ever.
@@Enzo187 Yeah, agreed. OP of this comment thread probably didn't even watch the video.
What a fun video, two of my favorite creators making the worse dad jokes imaginable while rambling about production junk! Such a good time, love this series!
I had a tour of LMG with a bunch of content creators yesterday after LTX. It was awesome! We didn't have anyone like Andy for the nerdy camera stuff, so this video was perfect for answering everything else I wanted to know 😄 including random stuff like 21:47, we were wondering why there was a random wig there, but no one knew. Mystery solved, thanks Gerald.
Once in a while you get a video that's so enjoyable that you'd like for it to be like 3-4 times longer even though it already is pretty long. More of the same please!
Another awesome tour!
The FTP set up with the FX30s is really interesting. There’s not a single video on TH-cam talking about that. As Linus said, for that sort of set up it makes far more sense than transferring SD cards. Something I’ll have to test out.
I know, right. Does the FX30 record to network? Or were those some kind of external monitor-recorders doing that?
@@BensTechLab Those were BlackMagic 7" 12G recorders. I didn't know they have network recording capability though!
Same thought, very unique but solid setup!! Why doesnt more people talk about this
FX6's have capability to send incamera recorded footage to thru FTP. I think FX3 & FX30's could have it as well. Need to check it. They can be set to auto upload the footage thru wifi(/eth? with a usb-c eth dongle?). I haven't yet got it to work with my fx6 but will continue testing some day (not that important to me and my productions)
@@arthurkallinen ah, so this is a Sony-specific thing? Hmm. We're looking at upgrading our corporate studio and I want to eliminate SD cards so bad, so I'm now on the hunt for this with BMD gear.
I can never get enough of these 😅 Hilarious and spectacular at the same time, it's insane what Linus and the team at LTT have built over the years.
I know LMG is enormous, but man, was I not ready for how big and advanced and amazingly well throughout this all is. Also blows your mind when you think about the "movie magic"; like in the videos it all looks like really well cleaned living rooms, but it is just a small set surrounded by a jungle of cables and equipment and lights. Wow! 🤯
Linus buying insisting on buying a jib but not using it is the most film maker thing to do
That video was amazing. Perfect chemistry and no script, natural darn good stuff.
As an LTT daily viewer, I'm impressed how Linus spontaneously starts talking about the network hub, without any script he felt so precise and on point with the current production.
Gerald did a beautiful job pushing on something that the counterpart was not supposed to know and, even if he lost, I have really enjoyed the struggle and the time spent for it.
Good job guys!
"nothing stops the WAN show" that didn't age well
Wow, those almost 30 minutes passed so fast! That was a pleasure to watch 😀 And I agree... We need some more collab between Gerald and LTT!
Linus was speaking absolute facts about adding value to his channel with props.. it's the extra 5% that I find so great in content in general
The hats and stuff are really what sets Linus apart. The production value from his channel is next level.
Yeah, I'm not really a computer guy at all but I regularly watch ltt because the content is entertaining
This is the best video I've seen in a long time on TH-cam. 2 of my absolute favorite TH-camrs going through the film tech I use on a daily basis as a camera operator and DIT. Gonna definitely steal some of these setup ideas for shoots in the future. Thank you for this!
Linus looks like a mini person next to Gerald.
Fun sized human
Gerald is 6'4 and Linus is 5'7
Gerald on an absolute banger of a tour right now
Thank you guys ❤️
It was enjoyable from every point of view 😁
Honestly shocked at how down to earth Linus is. Really funny stuff. Can't believe the media corrupted while he was talking about media corruption.
10:32 Linus was right about the props
I would say the real "Roasting" started yesterday ;-)
Wow. I wouldn’t have guessed that. Linus is very sharp and on top of his things including hosting his guest with a very modest attitude. Well done.
Makes Undone look undone.
For Linus to have stuck around as long as he has, there is no way he doesn't know a great deal about how to be a good video host, I'm one of the primary rules of being a good video host is you have to prop up the guests, so even if Linus is technically the guest, a lot of this is just second nature to him at this point. Or at least I hope it is for how long he's been around
Great tour! One of my favorite moments was where Linus said he doesn't know how to control the lights (8:37) and swish pan to you clicking the pen to write down another note against the studio. The click of the pen was a great touch.
"I don't know, Sigma probably." "DAMMIT!" I rate 10/10, good job all around.
Seeing a favorite youtuber from the past collab with a current favorite was such a weird mix of nostalgia and excitement - 10/10
I love how Linus just stands there NPC confused half the time when he doesn't talk or after he said something right
I adore this series Gerald! Pumped as soon as a new one turns up. Keep em coming!
This is a merge of two of my favorite channels! Great job on both sides. Linus really knows his stuff and his team seems awesome!
The LTT and MKBHD studio tours have been ridiculously good. Love to see creators be candid and get to nerd out on gear with a fellow gear head
This is a collab I didn’t know needed to happen! Its so cool to see Linus legitimately nerding out without any scripting etc.
This was so entertaining! I'm a fan of both of you and I could not stop laughing watching you guys interact. This is the crossover I never knew I needed!
This is one of the largest reasons I like watching LTT. Linus despite it all is still a down to Earth guy with a down to Earth team.
You see it in stuff like this. Where someone comes in to talk about their setup and he isn't cutting it to the extreme just to look good. Even other people saying something different than him is put in. They can talk without being reprimanded.
It builds up that trust and I appreciate it. Thanks you guys!
This aged like milk
@@Nicdehouwerdid it though? Given everything that surfaced since that gamers Nexus video, I would say if anything gamers Nexus is the one that shouldn't be trusted
i like the fact that fact that all the clips taken on the first day without linus are in b/w something inspired by Oppenheimer maybe?
Oppenheimer, US is the only country to drop a nuke at a civilian city and now they make a movie about how they discover it and still went with the idea. Not a military installation, a city. What im trying to say? The irony. I did not know they were the only country to nuke another country. Such evil.
The AI generated background for Gamelinked is so cool
This was an awesome collab. Love the infos about how they reccord straight in to the fileserver, or how they do the greenscreen work...
"Why would I hate something I didn't pay for?" - Linus, who clearly isn't part of the Linux community
I am delighted to see how far Linus has come with his production, I wish him continued success and all of us nerds thousands more hours of entertaining content by the LTT crew.
Perfect 30 minutes of entertainment, and a merge of my two favourite youtube hosts. 😀 Thanks for arranging this Gerald
10:30 how do you not get that? Props make perfect sense and Linus' explanation is spot on.
Awesome Video. It really drives home the value of having a set where you don't have to constantly move cameras and switch SD cards around... Building something like the Short Circuit set would be awesome, really inspiring!
"If I didn't have to pay for it I wouldn't hate it.." Then Geralds brain started to glitch 😂
This was so fun to watch. I've spent the last few months watching every one of Gerald's TH-cam videos going back four years (getting way too deep into content creation). Then I've watched Linus faithfully for years. The perfect TH-cam algorithm.
12:23 This didn't age well
It was delayed. It was not stopped
17:00 literally perfect timing for the mishap, lol. 🤣😅 Great tour!
Brilliant tour fella, Love this series!
This one and the MKBHD tour are my favorites so far, keep up the good work!
12:21 "nothing stops the WAN show"
So about that...
Everyone be roasting Linus these days🌚
how Patrick was able to remain quiet behind the camera is beyond me =)
I really enjoyed watching this, especially since I didn't manage to book a studio tour during LTX! Thank you for asking a lot of proper in-depth questions and allowing us a recent look inside!
Doing the Oppenheimer Subjective Colour Objective BW shots. Nolan would be proud.
How things change in two weeks…
This set blows me away. Definitely some $$$ dropped. This looked like a fantastic shoot! Great job G! (And Linus)
well... Rome ain't built in a day... and this is literally Linus's Rome...
"$100 Million TH-cam Studio" 😂
This was such a fun tour! Really impressive setup especially all the different sets.
When the camera shuts off while filming and the file is unfinished just press record when the camera is back up and it should write the end code for the file.
I get the hats. LTT uses a lot of props which does add to the video
Linus is legit and humble, great Tour thanks for the insides
Aged like milk.
@@ViktorKozhdid this really age like milk though? One person making claims with zero evidence on social media means nothing
@@the_undead there were more than just one person writing on twitter. In Fact, she wasnt even mentioned in gamers nexus video iirc.
@@ViktorKozh then would you mind pointing me in the direction of people who made claims with actual evidence to support them? Because what I will say is this, I am not going to rewatch that gamers Nexus video because anyone who thinks that Steve is being a genuine person in that video is lying to themselves, That is the kind of video that either a politician makes when they know their. Only hope of winning their next election is to completely destroy the reputation of their rivals, or a child who was just called out for being a lying pile of garbage and the only way they know how to respond is to try and improve that the one who called them out is also a lying pile of garbage whilst misrepresenting as many things as possible
@@the_undead Lmao, you can belive whatever you want. I dont care, since it doesnt affect me in any way. If you actually want to know what happend you can find that info for yourself.
Its really cool being able to to see all the tech thats outside of the viewers perspective that all comes to together to make such a nice looking set during the videos/streams.
Love it when the chemistry is good and you guys have a lot of fun
Love these studio tour videos. So darn comedic. 🤣
I love the short circuit camera rig, that's very creative!
Seeing the WAN Show set from a different perspective is so interesting. I didn't imagine it would be that "small".
This was as good as I expected. Love the dynamic and the detailed notes on the state of LMG studio
Don't ever stop making these tours, please!!!
This was excellent! I knew Linus had a good setup with some mean gear but that far surpassed what i had in mind. Impressive seeing how far he's come.
Lve the oppenheimer black and white effect.
The irony of the camera crapping out during a rant about batteries and SD cards is palpable :)
"Nothing stops the WAN show" Well.... Awkward.
What software did you use to repair the file? I'm having that exact same issue! I set the camera down, and my battery popped out while recording a client video.
Thanks for the awesome studio tours, Gerald. They're hilarious AND interesting.
Wondershare Repairit
@@geraldundone Thanks a ton Gerald!
I never realized how incredibly dense the LTT studio was. It's so function and output driven in every way.
I appreciated how quickly the focus pulling was. Great job utilizing that Nucleus M and those Video Assists.
11:28 Gerald: "It doesn't have shoulder pad!?"
Asian looking Andy: "It's confortable enough." (No matter what you do, some Asian guy will always do it better.)
Gerald: "15 mm rods?"
Linus knows a lot more about camera gear than i expected
Absolutely love this studio tour series!!! Keep goin! We want more!
I love the irony of linus ranting about not wanting batteries or sd cards only for both of them to fail at the same time.
Will we get the Andy tour? Would like to hear more from him as more of a camera person.
Black Magic makes some amazing green screening products! We use one of their switcher boards and 3 of their studio 4k cameras for one of my schools production sets in our TV Productions class and it works amazing! Great video I love all the tech that LTT has… Makes me jealous lmao
Very much looking forward to the HTC Mars review I saw in the background. You'll have to come back and review his virtual production setup
what 3rd party software did you use to recover the card?
LOVED IT. And there's no need to ellaborate any further, why everyone can clearly see why this is so... Epic and lovely and... loved it.
It's good seeing Linus having the freedom to have fun and be creative, stepping away from the CEO role was a great call
This was pretty great, I am so happy the studio tours are back!!
Nice video, I follow both for a long time. Good luck for both of you...👍🏼
I'm kind of shocked how messy and kind of hazardous the studio is :D
Obvious Masterpiece of a BTS, this type of collab is awesome, & I love how Linus manages to excell beyond his supposed field, so funny & impressive at the same time.
The TH-cam Studio's Ever Roasting Gerald is never gonna get Undone , this rocks.
This studio tour series is insane, go for it more :D
We use the Sennheiser MKE gold lavaliers exclusively for broadcast TV.
We purchase them with wild unterminated wires and then re-terminate with the TA4F XLRs for the lectrosonics or the lemo connectors for the Sennheiser transmitters.
This was hilarious!
Guessing this is an Oppenheimer homage 😂
Well done, but man they have really smart stuff, I feel like I wouldn't mind if you had made an 1 hour long video.
I would watch a whole tour series, each episode covering different departments
@@misatzu Definitely
C'mon that perfect timing with the SD card rant can't be coincidence!
Also who should know everythign about the cameras if not the chief vision officer?
I really wanna see that SD card rant
