I want to thank you for your videos, they allow me to dream again. I have been disabled since an auto accident in 2015 and my recovery has been slow but I have faith that somehow my dream to get strong enough to garden and preserve the bounty again will with help, happen.
I love you and Mr. Brown like you are my own family. You are so down to earth and genuine. I have learned so much from you both in the relatively short time I have been following you and I can’t thank you enough. Congratulations on your upcoming retirements and being debt free! What wonderful accomplishments!
I'm getting ready to retire from our school in a couple of weeks. I worked in the kitchen for 25 years, and then i worked as a Para for 7 years. I think you guys will enjoy retirement. You guys deserve it
Happy Retirement!!! I love watching your channel. I live in Northeast Mississippi, my husband and I took a little trip to your little town and Hardy AR. Beautiful country!!!After watching your video on your and Mr. Brown’s trip to Hardy, I just wanted to visit. We really enjoyed going to the antique stores and eating breakfast at the Corner Booth restaurant. Thank you so much for teaching all of us how to can!
I absolutely love you and Mr. Brown so much! I get so much inspiration and ideas to do in my mini homestead. I grew up on a small homestead and watched my mom do all the canning and caring for the animals. We did it as children but when I grew up, I went to work and focus on education. After completing a Master's degree, completing my career and raising a few children, I am finding joy in going back to my roots within the city limits and creating a mini homestead! It is my old/new passion in retirement.
I love you and Mr. Brown so much. I am learning how to be a little closer to self sustainable living. I may not ever get there seeing how I am going to be 63 in a couple of months but I am better off now than what I would have been had I not taken action. I just froze my first organic peas and still working on them and I am going to be pulling up my potatoes in a couple days. I cut and dehydrated my green onions as well. Thank you for speaking God's word and helping me to be better, do better.
Just getting started also! My Mom did it for years but she got ill n passed. It took me until now to realize it’s my turn!!! I’m so excited!!! I’m also old!!! 58.
Hello from the Ukraine, being a doctor here, has kept me quite busy, the war has intesified greatly,so we are delivering food and medical supplies to villages that are close to the frontlines, the shelling goes on day and night it's very dangerous but I am helping so many wonderful people,LOL to you Miss Lori and Mr Brown your videos keep me going.
I'm praying for you and the rest of those in the war. May the Mighty Lord Jesus Christ take control of this world soon. Praying for the supplies that is needed will be provided. Amen. Amen. Glory to God
The broth is beautiful! I & my husband are now retired and debt free! YAY, I will say that we work harder now at home than we did at our jobs. There's nothing like being your own boss and waking up in the mornings when you feel like it.
My husband and I are retired, he is 77 and I am 76. We were debt free when we retired. It is really nice when you don't have to worry about that. Good luck ❤
Oh my gracious... you are such a huge part of our lives. You and Mr Brown are precious! You teach me so much.... didn't know you could get a second batch of broth with your bones. That's a game changer!!!
Hi Ms. Lori. I am 58 years old and I have canned once, so far! I followed your instructions to make berry jam. It turned out great. I am very interested in more canning videos. I haven’t purchased a pressure canner yet, but I’m about to. Growing up, my Mom canned everything, but it was something I never learned. I did a lot of cooking as a teenager, but canning was her thing. Now I want to do it myself. I live in the suburbs outside of Tulsa, OK so I don’t have a big garden, but I do have a few things planted and I will supplement from a local farm stand. Appreciate you so much! Best wishes always to you and Mr. Brown.
It is so good to see a fellow Oklahoman on here!! I live at Locust Grove. I started canning a few years ago; we are not the best at gardening, but we’re working on it!!
I live in Virginia. I started canning last year. I wasn’t able to this year. But have great intentions on canning in 2024. Love these wonderful recipes.
I hope to be able to can one day. Also Congratulations on being debt free!! It is a long process. Or never go there at all. We are a work in process. Thank You Jesus for sharing you with us!!
Miss Lori - have you heard that saying "Like begets Like"? We are all here because you are one of the most genuine, honest and just all around beautiful person that I've watched on TH-cam! I feel blessed to "know" you!!!! Much love to you and Mr. Brown!!!
Thank you, Miss Lorie. I had some beef bones in my freezer I was going to pitch to make room for other things. I felt like there was no time for it,but you put the desire back in me to "make the time." What a gift you are. Keep making your videos for as long as you can. You have a sweetness that I love tuning into when I need to slow down and rest. I bet you didn't know that you do that for so many of us. 😘💕
We too worked like farm animals to get debt free with our little homesteading farm and home. Next to my children, it is the thing I am most proud of! God granted that we were able to do and show to our son and daughters that it can happen and are working to it now.
I really hope that you both understand how positively you affect us viewers and bless our lives by putting out these videos. You have to be about the nicest people on earth. Someone we all would be happy to have as neighbors. My mouth was watering over your beef stock, I can just about imagine how hard it was to smell it that long before you got to eat some of it. Very huge congratulations on your debt free-ness and upcoming retirements! I just know you will far surpass your four hundred thousand goal too and all we will need is a gigantic football stadium to get all of us viewers together for your retirement party lol! God bless you guys. Shirley.
We all love you and Mr. Brown so much. You are genuine and sincere, and I would be so pleased if you were my neighbors. God bless you. See you next time. 💒
Thanks so very much for sharing the old ways. I too stay away from social media. Even tho I am retired I do my best to learn new as well as the old ways. God Bless you And your husband, My Husband and I have been together since 1960, and it is good to see you both still together!
My favorite part of making my own chicken stock, especially now that I make it with the Instant Pot, is that it gets so gelatinous that it comes out of my quart containers kinda in clumps because it's so thick. I do love my Better than Bullion, though. It's a lifesaver.
That's a telltale sign that you got a lot of that good marrow and collagen...all so good for you! You can put most store bought " bone broth" in the fridge and get very little congealing.
@@northernkarma9296 do it! I thought I made pretty good stock before I started using the IP but it's a game changer. It extracts so much flavor and collagen/marrow that you won't want to go back. Besides, it's so much faster.

But looking forward to spending time with my grandchildren. Love all your videos and I truly believe you have help so many of us that watch. Congratulations on your future retirement. I retired from teaching 5 years ago and started my canning journey because you have made it so easy. I love watching your videos and always learning something new. God bless you both .❤
We should be thanking you, not you thanking us. You have kept me going many days after the passing of my husband. Some days are a real challenge. Yes, God is my mainstay, but, you and Cosmopolitan Cornbread have also been a great blessing. Thank you.
I watched this video the other day. I was speechless after your comments. I kept thinking about you. I had to come back and watch it again. You guys are truly special people. Sadly they don't make people like you anymore. I always enjoy your videos and hearing about you and your life. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. I truly wish you the best. I'm sure you will reach your goals of viewers and many more. God bless you and your family always.
I just have to say you and Mr. Brown are two of my favorite people in this world! I love to hear him laugh! He makes my day when he gets tickled! You should rent out your cute little "She Shed". I'd stay there in a heartbeat!
Lady. You are the sweetest person. You bless us all with your knowledge. God wants you to spend time with your husband, and family. Bless you and thank you
Your broth is beautiful!! I didn't realize the bones could be used twice. I didn't realize that this cut of beef could be used either. A fat straining glass pitcher is on my wish list. Last week I used 5 Black Maran Roos to make bone broth. Oh, my how rich and beautifully dark it turned out for chicken broth. BTW, I love your clay pot as a utensil holder. Just stay natural and personal as you share with us. It's like a cozy visit in your kitchen with a friend. Happy retirement years ❤
You and Mr. Brown are so precious to me. Not having a close family it’s just a sweet feeling to be privileged to share with you and interact online. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and loving kindness with us ❤ May you find continued success and joy and happiness in your retirement. God bless you both and your family 💖
Thank you for making videos that help me remember what my Gram taught me many years ago. Now my husband and I are homesteading. We are not young chickens, but look forward to the peaceful life of being self sustaining. We appreciate you all very much. We are in the deep woods of eastern Maine. 😊
You're so sweet, it's so easy to be nice to y'all. I'm so happy retirement is around the corner for y'all. It will be nice you won't have to work as hard. The broth looks awesome! God bless you guys.🌻🙏💖
Hi Ms Lori - great episode. I’m a single lady retired in May 2021. I gave been debt free for about 10 years now. Even so, this economy we are facing is concerning. My mom taught me to can when I was in my early 20’s. I moved away to another state and since mom wasn’t there I really didn’t have any interest. In 2020 aka early Covid I invested in all the supplies because my old things were long gone. I have an older close friend who helped me get going again and just this year started watching TH-cam and found your channel. If my mom was still with us she would be so proud of what I have learned. I am happy too as I am building a wonderful healthy pantry. Now I have say I do not a garden but I do support my local farmers for produce in the summer. Have a wonderful summer break.
I'm so thankful you share your life with us, and what a blessing you and Mike are to us. Now that my grandparents and parents are in heaven, it blesses me to be connected to you by your videos, and truly you are like family. I pray God's blessings for you both. 💗🙏
This is my favorite channel, no joke. I’m 52 and have preserved food since I was a little girl and learning from my Nana. But, I have learned so much from y’all. Whether it was something I had done before and forgotten how to do or something brand new. Your channel is a breath of fresh air. Love you and Mr Brown!!!!
God bless you Miss Lori and Mr. Brown. You will enjoy retirement, but know that you will be just as busy when retired. I know I am with my garden. Take care, stay healthy. God Bless you both and your family.
Dear Ms.Lori, I so appreciate your sharing of your recipes and methods, but more, I look forward to just listening to your personal wisdom and your expressions of humility. I really hope that young women take the opportunity to get to know you. As a retired, old woman I learn so much from you, and wish you the absolute best of the simple life. Thank you, Floy Ann Marsh
Miss Lori I love your channel and it has been been such a blessing to me! I am big on making my own broth but never tried it in my roaster or even can it! Look forward to learning more from you and Mr Brown even though I'm 66!😊❤
I roast my onions and whole heads of garlic with the bones. I cook/simmer my beef bone stock for 48 hours. I find it turns out better. But, you are torchered for an additional 24 hours with that wonderful smell. We Love you guys.
Ooh! Congratulations! I hope you might have time to add maybe an extra video in here and there! We live in East Tennessee on a farm, and for the last 3 years, I have been staying home, gardening, canning, baking! My husband still runs our business, but I’m adding chickens, ducks, pigs, my garden keeps getting bigger, and I couldn’t be more happy! I picked a big mess off Polk salad today for supper tomorrow night! I’m just a country gal, living the dream! We love y’all! God Bless from Wears Valley TN
Oh goodness Miss Lori I was afraid you were saying goodbye. I am just greatful you find the time to still show us and teach us. Your voice is so calming that I sleep to your voice at night. In this crazy world you are a reminder of how God wants us to be. I wish my husband would have lived as we would have loved watching you together. Thank you for your blessings you bring to me and all of your community.
What a great example to all of us and your family that you are retiring debt free. I know a lot of work went behind that accomplishment. Woo Hoo! Congratulations on being close to the count down for you both! Wishing you the best always.
God Bless Miss Lori and Mr. Brown❤you are a staple of my Saturday mornings. I am NOT a gardener, canner or preserver, but SO APPRECIATE learning and watching what you do. Keep the videos coming!
Congratulations!! What a blessing to be debt free!! I will have our house paid off soon, and that’s the last thing to pay off. You are such a blessing to me, I’ve been learning to can thanks to you, The relationship you and Mr Brown have is so sweet, my husband has alzheimer’s, we’ve been married 50 years, so life is one day at a time. Anyway, thank you for sharing your lives, God bless and I’m excited you get to retire soon!! What fun you two will have!
Yes. U deserve a break, but do Homesteader's ever get a break, oh the answer is yes to that beautiful lake for UR family Reunion! I watched that also, I agree it's a beautiful place to have a Reunion!!🙏😊❤
My husband retired in 2015 due to an injury from work and I continued working until we were debt free and retired in 2018. We're not rich either but I haven't ever cared. It feels wonderful to be debt free. God bless you and yours 🙏
Man I can just taste that broth! Or I wish I could lol. I'd have to freeze mine though. Love your videos, & just love to see you & Mr Brown dancing in the kitchen in the opening. God bless both y'all & I hope you have a fabulous day tomorrow. My daughter in law's mama & I will have it a few days later. My son is an RN who works nights so he'll be sleeping tomorrow since he has to work tomorrow night, but I'll see him for a few minutes in the morning while he eats some breakfast. 😊 Love begets love. Y'all are so sweet & loving that y'all get that love back! Congrats on nearly 4K!! You'll get there very soon. I'll be so glad when y'all retire. You both work so hard. I know that's how you're made, but I hope you'll be able to slow down a little.
You & Mr. Brown have been such a blessing to me since I found your channel. I am so happy to hear that retirement is coming soon for the both of you and that y'all are debt free from this world. May God bless you & keep you & watch over you as He has done in the past & may your lives be filled with peace & comfort as you go through retirement together. Hugs!❤❤
You'll enjoy your retirement! Just don't work yourself to death. It's really easy to get into to much sometimes. I really enjoy your site. I've learned so much from you. I learned to can from my mother and I've canned most of my married life. We're at 52 years now. Keep posting and I'll keep watching for sure!.
Mrs.Lori, I want to thank you for your videos, I am the only one in my family or friends for that matter, that has learned to can foods, they don’t want to learn, but that’s ok, I love cooking from scratch, I’ve been making chicken and beef broth for many years, always my daughter asks for some when she or my grandson is feeling sick. Every time my grandson stays with me, I give him a cup before bed, he loves it. Love all Your stories and recipes, each time I watch, I learn something new. God bless you and Mr. Brown.

Happy retirement years ❤
Thank you
You are so welcome!
You're so sweet, it's so easy to be nice to y'all. I'm so happy retirement is around the corner for y'all. It will be nice you won't have to work as hard. The broth looks awesome! God bless you guys.🌻🙏💖
Miss Lori you have a very blessed Mother’s day. You are a gift to this world and your family🙏❤️
Thats wonderful !
You all deserve the best of everything for spending your valued time doing things for all of your viewers.
Thank you
God bless you Miss Lori and Mr. Brown. You will enjoy retirement, but know that you will be just as busy when retired. I know I am with my garden. Take care, stay healthy. God Bless you both and your family.
So very proud you both are getting to retire. Such wise words from you. My goal is to be debt free before me and my husband retire. Love your channel.
Thank you!
Miss Lori I love your channel and it has been been such a blessing to me! I am big on making my own broth but never tried it in my roaster or even can it! Look forward to learning more from you and Mr Brown even though I'm 66!😊❤
Thank you
Thank you for all you have taught me. You and Mr. Brown are family and very encouraging.
I roast my onions and whole heads of garlic with the bones. I cook/simmer my beef bone stock for 48 hours. I find it turns out better. But, you are torchered for an additional 24 hours with that wonderful smell. We Love you guys.
I roast mine for at least 2 days as well, and I think I'm even going to go 3 days now.
I love your teachings. You have blessed so many. Thank you
LOOKS DELICIOUS....MR BROWN WASN'T IN OVERALLS....😮....LOOKING GOOD
I am so happy for you and Mr. Brown! That is so exciting to be able to retire. I can't wait for our time to come. Love you Mrs. Lori!
We love you Ms Lori and Mr Brown! ❤
I have just retired past December. And I love it. I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you

Love begets love. Y'all are so sweet & loving that y'all get that love back! Congrats on nearly 4K!! You'll get there very soon.
I'll be so glad when y'all retire. You both work so hard. I know that's how you're made, but I hope you'll be able to slow down a little.

YOU ARE SUCH A SWEET, DOWN TO EARTH, CHRISTIAN LADY. MANY PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS 🙌 🙏 ✨️ ❤️. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. OH AND MR. BROWN TOO!!
Brown.
