Chelsea, mushrooms hold alot of air, almost like a sponge. So the pre-cooking then releases that air and then they won't shrink as much and leave you with crazy headspace. I love your pantry tour videos.
Wow wow wow. Not only is it impressive how much you've canned and prepared, but the shelving and storage rooms are so beautiful and professional!!! It is magazine worthy!
@ What if you gave credit to the author of the recipe? It would be SO nice to have a book of your tried and true canning recipes. Plus, it would be a great way for us to support your channel! Please say yes!
I love how Dan is supportive and has helped you can. You have mentioned how he organizes the pantry and has built the pantry. You two have a beautiful relationship ❤️ and are respectful of each other. I love your channel, Chelsea! It touched my heart when you set some dough aside for your daughter to create with. And the fact that you still help your older children. You're definitely a ten on the mom scale.
I really enjoyed your tour of your pantries, but I was exhausted from seeing what all you had canned. Holy cow! I'm 84 and I've canned off and on all my 64 1/2 years of marriage. Now, I'm wheelchair bound and I am debating selling all my canning stuff. I hate to because I'm afraid that the way the world is going, I will need it. I can still do it, but I have to have help lifting, getting stuff in and out of he canner or water bath, etc. I have never seen such an extensive pantry as yours. You are so lucky to have that much space to put things in. And despite a few things not being labeled, it was beautifully organized. I enjoyed this very much.
I found you several months ago. I live in northwestern Montana. I also can, dehydrate. I love to watch your videos. Your voice is so comforting. I don’t need to be yelled at. Also you get down to business. I have tried several of your recipes and loved them. Looking forward to next year’s garden.
Impressive!! What I love about this sweet lady is she is not fake, dramatic or theatrical! Makes it a pleasure to listen to her. And no interruptions! As soon as I hear that crap I click off. Ain’t got time for that. She’s right on point!! Thank you Mam! ❤❤❤
Thank you Chelsea and Dan for sharing all the hard work and the results. It has been a joy to be able to follow such an authentic couple who help to bring sanity and comfort to our homes during these difficult times. Your sense of humour had me giggling at times
I am nearly 50 and when I was a child my mother would buy the Laura Scudder’s peanut butter. To help with the mixing she would store the jar upside down so that the oil would go to the bottom of the jar and that way, when she opened it and started mixing, the oil would not spill over the rim.
I don’t grow or can or any of it, but I love living vicariously through you. It is so comforting and calming to watch you garden, cook, and can, and it gives me so much peace. I do love to cook, so your recipes and kitchen days are my favorites!
I hope you are at least thinking of doing some of it in the future? It shard to explain to someone who’s never done any of it, but it’s so fun and rewarding, even though it’s a lot of work.
💕 Hi Chelsea, I buy natural peanut butter, what I was told is to put my peanut butter upside down. Letting to our go to the bottom of the jar. So when you open the oil isn't all at the top. Works great. 💕
So impressed by the literal fruits of your labor Chelsea. Such a beautiful pantry and what a blessing to your family to be fed so nutritiously. Truly a labor of love.
This is my dream, not on such a big scale but having shelf stable food for emergencies, it's very comforting to know I won't lose all my food if we lost power
As a kid we lost power all the time it was turned off for non-payment and we stayed put during hurricane s so losing power and the food spoiling is still a big fear of mine
Mexican rice - 3 tablespoons tomato powder, 2 tablespoons of minced onion, 1 tablespoons of garlic. Mix seasonings in 4 cups water and 2 cups rice - cook. Great for burrito bowls. Canned beef/chicken - corn, black beans, salsa, cheese. Yum. Fast food.
Tomato powder options: I mix tomato powder, basil, oregano, and garlic with cream cheese and leave in fridge overnight for a yummy pizza cream cheese for bagels or as a filling for jalapeño poppers
Oh my goodness your pantries are Spectacular!!!! I am so jealous. They are so beautifully clean and organized. That is a ton of work and love put into all of that food and canning.
Georgia girl here - I have tasted peaches grown in other areas, but Georgia peaches are the best I've ever tasted, bar none. It's important to get them straight from the grower because the ones in grocery stores are picked unripe and have zero flavor.
Hi! Here's a hack: use a hand held mixer, or an immersion blender for peanut butter. If you gently and slowly push your immersion blender, or ONE beater on a handheld mixer, down into the jar you can emulsify your peanut butter so easily! I learned this hack somewhere on YT and it is a great hack! Try it and tell us if you like this method for stirring peanut butter. Your pantry should be featured in a magazine! It is TOTALLY Pinterst worthy!!
My favorite video of the year, and it did not disappoint! You did a great job, and your pantry looks fantastic. I love how you and Dan are such a team.
Thank you for sharing your food pantry what a wonderful work you have done for your family. The fruits of your labor you're a hard worker and you're so brilliant and bright and you enjoy what you do and it comes across in your smile and your enthusiasm. You and your husband are both really wonderful people thank you for sharing
Hello, amazing storage rooms! Love how they all have their own names. So much work and look how beautiful! Looking forward to trying my hand at some of the canning recipes you shared. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
This is amazing! I have been looking forward to your 2024 Pantry Tour. Thank you so much. This is so inspiring. Blessings to you and your entire family. Now go get some rest. You deserve it. ❤
LIFE PRO TIP with the Adam’s peanut butter: store the jars upside down so all the oil separated is near the surface when you start stirring. It makes the mixing go a whole lot easier. ❤
This is, by far, my favorite panty tour of any I have seen on TH-cam! Thanks so much for sharing and I hats off to you and Dan for all that hard work! Love the shelving too. Also…..you are not alone in the “fail to label” category!!! I too, have been trying to do better but….. 😂
Don't feel too bad about the labeling, guys. 😀 One time when my youngest sister was very little, she snuck into the pantry and peeled all the labels off the commercially canned goods. You never knew if you were going to get dog food or tuna, peaches or pickled beets. For a few months we'd do pantry suprise dinners once a week. It made for a lot of laughs and some funny suprise combos.
I love that your family was able to laugh at the uh-oh. Things like that may be a nuisance at the time, but make wonderful family memories that you'll talk and laugh about for years.
Here it is!! We have watched it from start to finish all year! How exciting 🎉 that is a very good looking well stocked pantry full of love and hard work ❤
Chelsea, I have a grain mill too (had it 2 years) and keep telling myself I'm going to start grinding my own flour. Hasn't happened yet, but I think this winter is the time! Please post your whole experience, from opening the box to putting your first grains through to making your first loaf of bread! Maybe it won't seem so daunting if I know someone else is walking through it at the same time.
I've been following you for about 2 years. Congratulations 🎉on reaching 200,000 subscribers 😊. I just love your pantry tours. Thank you for sharing with us. Much love from Texas.
Congratulations Chelsea and Dan on a year of fabulous food and togetherness * hugs* It's such a joy to see a husband and wife honoring the support one another gift during the busy time of canning season. Your panty system of multiple zones is wonderful and inspiring me to do something similar. Thank you
We live in northern Florida and every year we make several trips to our favorite peach farms. This year was a very special season. The peaches were really nice and abundant. I believe I put up around 225 pounds of peach products. Peaches, jellies, jams, syrups and pie filling.
I want to start working on my food storage area this coming year! I’m a newly wed with just my hubby and myself. Moved to Kentucky last year into my husband’s house. We have an underground storm shelter that I think will make a great food storage area! We have cleared the backyard of trees, fenced it in and will start a garden, which I love. I have gotten many ideas from watching your videos. My pantry will never be as big as yours but hopefully will look as nice as yours!
Chelsea your basement is awesome. It is the size that my house is…lol You have inspired me so much. I am now canning all kinds of things I would never had thought to can. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait for your giveaway. You are never too old to start. I am 68 and having a ball!
Amazing job Dan on the rooms. Organized beyond perfect! So jealous. The surprise unlabeled packets reaction had me laughing out loud. Love hearing you both laughing. Great video as usual Chelsea & Dan.
Wow you guys are awesome and your pantry storage is amazing. We thank you as viewers we so appreciate all your videos. Thank you so much for sharing all your goodness and we love seeing all your sweet animals as well. Thank you, Cheryl
Chelsea, I am loving how confident you are now in your food preservation. It seems like each year you are canning more and more. Keep up the good work girl!!!
GEORGIA Def has good peaches ♡ love your jars! What fantastic work! Everything looks beautiful. All our jars (love the soups!) Your shelving, flooring and ceiling make this every canners dream! ❤
Wow, now that’s an impressive storage pantry! You both should be very proud. You’re prepared for anything. Congratulations, I know that was a lot of work.
Well done!! I always look forward to your pantry tours! This year it was the warehouse and freeze dryer room too! I realize and understand the amount of work that has gone into everything you have showed us. Wonderful! 👍🏻
Amazing! Your pantries ( and your entire basement) have come such a long way over the years I've been watching. Simply spectacular! You both are role models as to how a great relationship, and love, respect, and humor should be. Excited about the giveaways as well...crossing my fingers. Lol. God Bless you all!
I so enjoyed watching you plant and grow your garden, harvest and can all the wonderful food. So happy for you that Dan has built these rooms filled with beautiful shelves to organize and store your bounty.. Chelsea, you so deserve to reach 200,000 and more.
Beautiful jars of canning, makes me envious of when i was young and had a garden to harvest. what a blessing on your labor of love. I would very much like to win the freeze dryer even if only to preserve produce when it is on sale, as well as eggs, milk etc.
Unbelievable, beautiful storage & preservation organization! Thanks for sharing, you two! The whole family contributes & that’s a testimony to great parents! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦🌻
I wish I lived near you so I could learn how to can. As a older adult 65 with limited resources would greatly make our food budget stretch. I just watched my first video of yours it was great. Belle in Las vegas
Wow!! What a beautiful and organized storage area. I don't usually get jealous about what other people have but your storage is absolutely wonderful. You should be very very proud of yourselves you're doing an awesome job.
Everything looks amazing!. I had guessed 1500 jars and I can't believe you went over that amount. That is so impressive. I started using a grain mill this week and I really love it, so go ahead and try it and you'll see how much you love it. Thanks for sharing and for the giveaway. Hugs from Florida.
Amazing, I love everything. So beautiful and what a blessing so much delicious and fresh food. God bless, and thank you you took your time and share with us.

It really is!!!
@LittleMountainRanch Definitely magazine worthy!
I thought your thumbnail was photoshopped for fun...it looked so much like a grocery store to the left of the wooden shelves 😂 beautiful work!
Ditto! Love, love it all! You and your family are amazing and inspire me so much! Tfs
I can’t be the only one who would absolutely love it if you put out a book of all of your favorite canning recipes! 🤞🙏🏻🤞🙏🏻
She does have a book :)
I'd love to do that but most of the recipes I use are from other people's books and websites.

@@jennan3407 I agree!!
Agreed, but she would have to adjust the recipes so that there wouldn’t be copyright infringement

It touched my heart when you set some dough aside for your daughter to create with. And the fact that you still help your older children. You're definitely a ten on the mom scale.

I definitely will! ❤
Can he come organize my pantry please? I make some pretty good brownies and cookies 😂

Hello from Trout Creek Montana 👋
Right off the bat, tell Dan he did a great job of front facing all the jars :) The pantry looks amazing, Chelsea!!

Check that jar of pork and beans. When you touched the lid at 10:10, it popped. It didn't sound sealed.
I remember hearing that sound and I thought that, too, though I don’t remember what it was.
Caught my attention too
