I have done almost 70.000 km's with my Honda NC700X DCT ABS and the only problem that I had was, very recently, an oilleak on the left frontfork. After a motorcycleaccident in 2010, which left me in a coma for 3 months (broken skull, broken neck, broken spine, broken right shoulder, broken ribs trough my right lung and a whole series of minute broken bones everywhere else) I spent almost a year in a special clinic, paralysed in a wheelchair since my right side, arm and leg, were paralysed. After that clinic I have spent almost a year training to get my leg and arm working, and, amazingly, it worked since 5 doctors told me that I would spend the rest of my life paralysed in a wheelchair. My arm is like before (I was a boxer) and my leg works also but not very well. I can not walk for miles. The medical world did not want me to ride with a normal gearbox anymore and said I could only ride with automatic gearboxes. They also limited the power to 35KW (47hp, drivers license category A2 in Belgium) so, it was like if that Honda NC700X DCT was made for me. I also bought some Vespa's 250 and a Suzuki Burgman 400 who, together also have more than 120.000 km's on their meters. Yep, I know, I ride a lot but The medical staff retired me and I refuse to stay at home with my dumb face before the television all day and I love to ride into the world so I feel like a king of the road. Our world is a beautiful place when you see it out of the saddle of a motorcycle.

I bought my NC 700 X in June 2012: The bike didn't had a single Problem until today! It's the best bike I ever had! The brand Honda stands for real high end quality.
Before I bought my 2015 NC750S-DCT I had owned 8 different big BMW bikes. This Honda beats them all for quality, finish, design, rideability and enjoyment. Honda now for me every time.
thats true. i had pcx 125 and even there, many years of usage, 50K and still in perfect condition. I had even a variator on it, but no problems at all. now i got nc 750x used with 40k but for honda this means the engine is warmed up :)
its essentially half a honda jazz engine paired to a body that weighs 4.5 times less than what its design intention was to carry. Definately gonna be a long lasting engine.
Only a Honda engine could gain an extra horse after 50.000km. There is a guy with 250.000km rode in adventure conditions through Tailand and the engine was running like new with no oil consumption!!
If anything this just goes to show you the benefit of following the factory maintenance schedule. I’m sure similar results could be achieved with many different motorcycles if they’re properly maintained.
@@MrWhothefoxthat Try living in the American southwest that is regularly hot enough for any engine to overheat if you don’t use special coolant and top quality synthetic oil.
And why wouldn't they ? ? They designed and engineered and build a fantastic, innovative and user-friendly vehicle with adequate performance and phenomenal fuel economy. Because of the low revving flexible motor the wear rate is extremely low. Honda should be congratulated !
you skimpt on grease on the swing arm, the wheel bearings are crap, the screen is a pile of dog, its an expensive bike for the quality of it, Honda compromised quality for profit knowing full well the bike riders who are coming through today don't have a clue what their looking at.

140K KM here on my 700x, still runs trouble free. Had to replace the rear shock and the clutch is coming up but other than that? bulletproof.

Absolutely correct Joel. It's the low-revving that reduces wear and prolongs the life of the motor. That plus the phenomenal fuel frugality !
it is hard to say half jazz for 750 since bore dimensions are not same with jazz 1.5
