I think the new Civic hybrid hatchback makes the Integra feel like a terrible value for the money. i test drove a 2025 Integra and a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid and I just think you get so much more value on the Civic. 50 mpgs, built in Google, and driving it feels a little more peppy and overall more refined. I really hope the 2026 Integra gets a hyrbid option.
I think for $28k out the door this would be a great car, however at its $31k price tag it think it is just good. Alex and Travis, It is refreshing to see you driving a manual and it is good to see the Si lives on. Let's hope the Si lives on long enough to become a real hatchback some day. 🤞🤞
In 2019 it came down to the 35th Anniversary GLI and Si for me. In went with the GLI because the Si had ridiculous rev hang, odd clutch take-up, and a crunchy 2-3 shift. The rest of the car was fine. The styling was a bit much but not a deal breaker. Four trouble free years with the GLI, and I would still lean in that direction, I think.

Great review and comparison, Alex! The 20-year old in me would choose the SI with no hesitation. The more mature me would prefer the Hybrid for its efficiency, comfort, etc. One issue with SI is its availability- they don't make many, and dealer markups that inevitably follow. Still, it's a great car for an enthusiast driver.
When it comes to reverse gear location in the pattern, towards the driver and up is by far the most common placement. I am including commercial weight vehicles in this claim because that’s where a lot of manual transmission still exists. I personally don’t care as long as it is well gated. I could imagine that a person might grow a preference to either what they are most familiar with or perhaps had some bad experiences with poorly gated patterns that made it overly easy to get a gear you weren’t trying to select.
Alex, love the Si, but the GLI is really the only competitor. Got it, there's just no beating a honda shifter. They're experts at making shifters some of the best in the world, but you mentioned these cars are becoming more mature. The GLI costs a bit more but has power/memory seats, heated/cooled seats, dual zone climate, larger moonroof, Mk7 Golf R brakes, adaptive dampers, etc. It would be interesting to do an episode of the 2025 Si and GLI side by side. I appreciate the concept of a toy car.
But once you sit in a traffic jam for two hours,
you kind-of think what's the point of you shifting between 1st and 2nd all along for hours.
Shame it uses a turbo
Definitely prefer a Mazda 3 Turbo
That lower grille reminds me of a BMW 5 series. The color on this model doesn't help either
"I think everyone should spend $300 to burn through tires to replace them with all-seasons."
Is this some kind of a joke?
Stop saying the price is under 30K. I have asked everywhere and they are asking around 40K to get this car out of the door.
Black wheels and black headliner trend 🤮
Be nice to see lighter color interior options even my 88 civic had red suede seats front and rear
Black interior with a light headliner looks cheap
Too expensive- Civic is no longer civic 😂
Or, perhaps, you’re the one who fell off
Though everything has crept up in price recently, I think the Si pricing increase has been relatively tame compared to many. I recall the 2014 started at $22,500, so this being still under 30 is pretty decent. Heck even a 2005 Si was like $19-20k..
@@FuncleChuck what do you mean? Keep paying these high prices man and I would enjoy my 10 year old car which is working fine
16:11 from second to fourth gear and from fourth gear to six gear! Really? DO THAT EVERY SINGLE DAY YOU’LL END UP WITH NEW TRANSMISSION!!!! (This is how you separate the vlogger to a license service tech!)
