Been studying eastern philosophy for some time, really just started a deep look into trika and now I stumble across this. Surely God is smirking to himself

    It is abundantly clear.
I myself am German in Germany and cosmic-religious.
The video shows you very clearly what I have
    suspected for a long time.
It's not about finding some divine truth.
It's not about finding any kind of enlightenment.
It's about continuing to talk, continuing to babble,
continuing to project yourself into the world
    as an important person. J
ust as the friendly black-haired man from Kashmir
demonstrates so excellently in his vital speech.

Well, perhaps it is still about finding enlightenment and recognizing how we have projected ourselves into the world all along, and then doing so in a more conscious manner that aligns with divine truth.
I am very grateful that he is not just blissfully sitting somewhere but sharing his insights here.
      btw, i'm also German.

Is there any hope that humanity wake up to what is the unity beneath our perception of separateness. All religions point toward a truth. But THE eternal truth is within the story or stories. WE cling to our separate religions and our ego keeps us in our caves. 🙏

Nish, you can optimize the impact of your class by :
    1) speaking at a slower pace
    2) not re-remarking at your own statements.
    3) being more structured -- state first the objective of the class, present the material sloka by sloka and then summarize the class, so we know the objective has been met.

0:22 I know this comment may not be appreciated but this statement is a common error with some thinkers in AV and to a lesser extent KS. The ego, the body, all of life are not outside of God or that which you call Awareness/Consciousness. The ego, the body, all of life is verily God expressing itself as Life (since there is nothing outside of God). Therefore; do not say "you are not the body" but instead say "you are not just the body". Fair notice. I am a Catholic which incidentally means Universe. Blessings.

Nish, it would seem resonant and relevant to apply the Dzogchen metaphor of the Mirror. Reflections may appear and move in the mirror but the mirror’s surface isn’t actually changing or touched by these reflections.

I don’t think there’s any evidence that Jesus preached renunciation especially with regards to sex. Saint Paul did definitely, but he was a different character all together. I love this talk by the way, I find it deeply gratifying and helpful to my practice immensely.

Nish can you please through some light on where awareness is during general anethesia.
I got it once, and whole four hours nothing!, at waking up it was just next moment from the last i had before i went into the state.
I am aware of deep sleep, dream and waking, but no awareness at all during anesthesia, it is this moment and next.

The bliss I sometimes find in meditation is sometimes similar to a good indica body high, or to the feeling during a hypnosis scene. I feel that it must be only a bare twinge of what sitting at Maa Kali's feet would feel like, or what Radha felt when her and Krishna played.

Yes it's true, cannabis mimics the effects of endogenous cannabinoids present in the body and brain, so it feels the same if not actually much clearer. However the bliss of contact with oneself is beyond what the body can comprehend as sensation.

Brilliant. A few thoughts. I see Shiva/ Shakti very similar to my understanding of Purusha/Prakriti as described in Samkhya. There could be a difference in degree but don't see a difference in principle. Purusha imo is not the experiencer, but like the part of the sun entering a small room. Sun is the same, undivided awareness/ witness. Purusha is untouched, just as Jiva is untouched/ unlost. 'Lost-ness' will go when 'i-ness' goes, maya goes. 'i' striving for 'my' liberation is a fallacy.
Samkhya describes the King-Courtesan dance-play. Spanda seems the elaboration of the first impulse that originates this dance-play.
Can Shiva resist the urge of manifestation? Can he rest? Affirming Shiva/ Shakti too strongly can lead to different set of problems (of duality). There is extreme subtlety involved while contemplating on: Shiva and Shakti are the same, Is maya real?, how heterogeneity arises from homogeneity, movement from stillness, saguna from nirguna. There is no cause at this level, only God's whim (his play).
Only God exists, and everything else? - "Seemingly. Seemingly. To the untrained eye, I can fully understand how you got that impression". 😊🙏

@@ShaolinTrainingShifu sorry, I did mean to elaborate but got side tracked. DMT can provide an experience, but no experience in itself can induce samadhi, the experiencer needs proper “conditioning”, if that makes sense.

    • @ShaolinTrainingShifu
      @ShaolinTrainingShifu ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@jackjohnson2309 yes that makes perfect sense - lots of people have wildly different reactions to DMT with meditators generally handling it way better. I’m focusing on kriya yoga; started with Sadhguru’s Shambhavi mahamudra years ago and moving on to Babajis Kriya Yoga.

Acting, talking, or being “crazy” can lead to unwanted consequences and alienation. This knowledge is a sort of buffer to the world. It allows lets a person do all those former things with explanations that are very hard to argue against. People really respect a good explanation to almost any action. Now when cars honk at me while walking in the middle of the street I let them know this is my mothe’fukin’ world!
