Another game in The Simpsons series. This one takes a bizarre trip through Bart's imagination; fighting amoeba, smashing psychotic appliances, and transforming into Bartzilla.
These bizarre situations are handled with tool-assisted precision, and finished 73 seconds faster than the author's previous ( tasvideos.org/772M ) attempt. - เกม

13:47 Fun fact, that thing the people may drop down to you is actually a SEGA Mega Drive here! But in the Mega Drive version of this game, they actually drop Super Nintendos at you.
The implication this game establishes by the skeleton Bart glitch is that Bart's skull is indeed spiked and that is not hair but rather bone. This is a startling revelation to be sure.
I once rented this game at a Blockbuster over 2 decades ago... I don't remember seeing ANY of these dream mini games. I was too dumb as a kid to understand what to do. It still seems cryptic as I watch this TAS.
This game also has a subtley eerie sense to it, kinda like porky pigs haunted holiday. Its hard to explain but maybe its just me.

In Bart's Nightmare by Acclaim, everything about this game is top notch, except maybe the play control, which could use a little adjustment. The game is virtually impossible to beat, making it overwelmingly frustrating for younger players.

It wasn't impossible to beat. But yes getting an A+ grade was extremely tough. If you failed on one of the mini games late in the game; it took forever for another page to show up sometimes

This game was actually pretty fun to play. Only thing broken on it; in my opinion, was how long it took pages 6-8 to show up so you could finish the game. I remember once it took almost 30 minutes before one showed up 🙄
How was the final score still just a B? This game blows chunks.

It goes by your score-even if you collected all the pages, you must score at least 125,000 points to get an A+. The only feasible way to do this is by intentional point-farming (for example, repeatedly destroying the endless fireballs in the second Itchy & Scratchy stage.)

First page they missed a squishy 6 planes a extre life
I used to rage so hard at this and Bart vs the space mutants.
I think it would have made more sense if the town in the start is just calm and nothing is happening, and the first page is just sitting there on the street waiting for you to get it, the town should only turn windy and make the pages hard to get after you beat the first minigame. Maybe that was the idea, I don't know.
This game was amazing when I was little, nice job!

Man the music sounds so dull compared to the Sega version. The sound effects are way better though
The music is messed up here. I've played this on Snes many times and the music is better than this.

The TAS is from 2007, emulators at the time didn't emulate audio very well.
Both sound really bad, so there's not much competition. The Mega Drive version uses GEMS, which automatically puts it down, and SNES version has REALLY tinny and short instrument samples.

People may poo poo this game. But this was probably the best Simpsons game on home console. They were really all that bad.
Ever heard of Simpsons Hit & Run? It's one of the very few good Simpsons games.
@@Diddy64wii - A whole decade later. The kids growing up at the time who wanted a good Simpsons game would have to wait until High School or College before they got it. In the 90's this was the best Simpsons game for home console.
@@Magus12000BC I dunno...qualifying Bart's Nightmare as "best home console Simpsons game of the 90s" sounds kinda weird and out of place to me. "The least worst home console Simpsons game of the 90s" would be more fitting.

Speed over score in this case. Playing "perfect" doesn't necessarily include a maximum/high score unless it's a specific goal of the runner.
