The Hispanic and Latino thing can sometimes be like a venn diagram. Most of us from the Caribbean can sometimes be either or. It's simple but can be complicated. Also, Cuban coffee is just espresso with a fuck-ton of sugar. We drink entirely too much of it. And kind of like some Brit's like milk with their Tea, putting milk in Cuban coffee is a common breakfast thing. Cafe con leche. Literally just coffee with milk and teaspoons of sugar. Guaranteed diabetes.

As a half white/half-Puerto Rican, I laughed my a@@ off. When he described how fast Puerto Ricans speak spanish, I lost it. Too true. I call it "machine gun" spanish. As for his description of Miami, he nailed it. I was born there and lived there for many years. Spot on.

Puerto Rican and I moved to Miami from N.Y. His coffee story was identical to mine. For some reason they never explain why it's not a good idea to drink more. I could have save me from my heart trying to escape my chest. But it's one of the most delicious coffee I ever had.

Honestly, I had a somewhat similar experience with Turkish coffee. I got the first cup, drak it and asked for a much larger cup. Caffeine doesn't bother me but I like my coffee DARK, THICK, AND STRONG. The server looked at melike, "Really?" And I was like, "Bro, this is decent coffee, but I need a whole lot more than THIS!"
He brought me out 2 LARGE cups of coffee. I tasted each, said, "perfect." Covered one, and drank the other fairly quickly. Every time the server came back to the table he was staring at me. Even though I kept telling him, "This is good coffee." 😂😂😂

Gabriel Iglesias was the first ever comedian I saw that made me love standup comedy. His special The Fluffy Movie the intro to that is engrained in my memory. I didn’t even know what standup was just that this guy was saying funny stuff and making me laugh. Only years later when I went back to watch the first ever comedy routine I saw did I realize how GENIUS this guy is. He’s one of the best to ever do it you could put him before or after some of the dirtiest comics working today on a show and hes gonna KILL.
As a Latino, I will say this. Latinos have origins in central and south America. Hispanics have Spanish origins. Brazilians are the perfect example of a difference.
Using the term "Latino" is just the safest way to go if you're not sure exactly which country in South America a person's from. I think it's similar to using the term "Asian" when referring to a anyone from the Southern Pacific area. That's just my opinion anyway. If you're unsure just do that...nobody gets offended that way

Cuban coffee is both one of the best (it's in the running with Turkish) and one of most dangerous things a person can drink. Because while it taste strong, it is also sweet (feels like they took out a bag of sugar, added a normal amount to a mug, looked hard at it, shrugged and dropped the rest of the bag in as well.) and almost creamy. I'm an absolute caffeine field, and thank god years of training kept my alive because over the course of an evening helping classmates with a term paper, I knocked back like 15 of the things. I think at the start, it was a joke to the folks I was helping (I had no clue, it was strong sweet coffee, how bad could it be? FYI - you ever find yourself asking 'how bad could it be' don't do it. Stop it. you are gonna die!), they kept nudging each other and getting me another one. But by 8 they started looking concerned, by 12 downright nervous and when I finished the last one (over about a 8hour period, I'm dumb not stupid) the cup got grabbed out of my hand by one of their moms and the classmates I was working with got cursed out hardcore by one mom while another mother was arguing with her husband if they should take me over to urgent care 'just in case'. Second time in my life I actually achieved caffeine poisoning. I think my resting heartrate would have made a hummingbird worry and look for the nitroglycerin tabs for fear of inducing a heart attack. That said? Amazing to drink. Just order it with a couple large glasses of milk, don't drink any other coffee before you have this and you keep it down to no more than 2 until you learn your limit. And accept you are going to be ramped for hours after. Some folks use cocaine to stay up and speed, coffee is cheaper and at least tastes nice!

I've seen a lot of Fluffy videos. He's different than a lot of standups he takes you on a journey; it's his story telling and he adds the sound effects and the accents to put you there with him. Didn't you do the Gift Basket? Goes to India and Saudi Arabia are excellent. The border patrol with Trevor Noah is good too but watch the skit with both Trevor and Fluffy together. I've been a few vids where Trevor's skit is cut out.

Here in the Americas, you break it down to where you (or your family) is from. For instance, my parents/family are from Colombia, and I'm 1st generation US born (I don't like to use the term 'American' since there is North, Central, and South America, but I get the generalization). Funny thing is that my dad is 1st generation Colombian since his parents fled to Colombia during WWII (one was Austrian, the other Yugoslavian), so I usually tell people that my DNA is like a long island iced tea when it comes to different ingredients, lol.
My grandma was a Polish refugee from WW2 Mexico took in a lot of them to the state of Guanajuato where my family is from I have a question what do Colombians call Colombians born in the US like Mexicans call Mexican Americans chicanos
The funny things is that latin americans are less latin then most europeans because "latin" points out the roman empire ancestry (sometimes genetically but mostly culturally as in "culture of latin speaking people"). That's why italian people are technically the most latin people.

While living in Florida, I noticed most of the Cubans trying to swim/ boat to FL, were black. I went to school with Puerto Ricans. I live Tennessee now. There are a lot of Mexicans. Yes, there are differences between locations and Cultures...

To answer that question- yes, Hispanic and Latino are the same thing but for most of us saying Latino feels more empowering than saying Hispanic. Technically Hispanic is the correct term and Latino/a is more of the slang for it

Hispanic and Latino can be interchangeable for some since most Latinos have at least a little Spanish heritage but it’s been my experience that being called Spanish is generally not ok if the person is from the Americas since that’s basically assigning them the identity of their colonizers
Latino means you come from a country in the Americas that speaks a Latin based language that can also include French and Portuguese so Brazil and Haiti are also Latino but Hispanic means you were colonized by Spain and speak Spanish. So you can be Latino but not Hispanic but all Hispanic are Latinos.
My oldest son actually uses caffeine as a sleep aid. When he gets enough caffeine it opens up his bronchial tubes and the rush of oxygen puts him to sleep.

In general terms HIspanics are Spanish-speaking cultures. So most of Laitin America and Spain but not Brazil because they speak Portuguese. In similar general terms Latinos are the cultures of the former colonies of the European countries that spoke a language derived from Latin. So all of Latin America including Brazil and some islands in the Caribbean, but not Spain or Portugal. There's some debate about this and whether a few specific countries count as Latino and/or Hispanic but that's it in a nutshell.
