Edit: and yes, the NPC soldiers will literally fight to kill their enemies and will not despawn.
i haven't encountered patrollers/midnight rangers fighting fracstidus mobs... but yeah... probably because they only guard certain camps and don't think they will stray far since enemy mobs are away and into wild zones... but i do find some exiles and fracstidus mobs fighting each other where i get helix items... but yeah, hope we get to see fracstidus vs TD (i saw one with the ice cannon but yeah, didn't even engage, least the cutscene in changli's story where they flee in sight of the lightcrusher means there's more to come)

It makes you wonder what Hoyo has been doing with their immense profit. The game still looks the same as it did when it launched, they have been reusing NPCs and character models/animations. 🤔 I hope Kuro keeps improving and investing the money back in the game so they don't fall in the same situation.
I think the only one I enjoyed was the shrine maiden for GI but it is unfortunately covered up at the end. WuWa NPCs and characters look much better overall.

I currently play WuWa, GirlsFrontline2, Genshin, Infiniti NIkki, HSR for Gachas. Probably ANANTA & ARKNIGHT ENDFIELD in future. As for COnsoles & PC that I currently playing. : Trails series, Fantasian Neo Dimension, Re Fantazio, Gran Blue Fantasy, Y's Nordics. my point is, Hoyo devs should make/design unique or memorable NPC for their important story events, not just using usual model. Like Yoimiya's father, with usual NPC look, or the girl in wheelchair for Yoimiya event, or Dunyarzad for Sumeru event. Metal Gear V used alot reused soldier asset but they're just grunt for Snake to kill, nothing important to the storyline, and many older JRPG too. and as someone who used Ayaka a lot, Hoyo should fix her face/bang model honestly. it lacks effort, and their effort they rather put onto newer games like ZZZ, HSR. Genshin is just their cashcow for funding Hoyo newer projects. you probably notice hoyo put a lot money effort of marketing Music Video or content creator into HSR. and Animation for ZZZ. There's this little detail for the guards. But if you play a tall or shorter character, they actually tilt their head upwards or downwards depending on the height of the characters. (Try this with, Jiyan, Calchoro, Verina, Encore, Youhu, etc)

Man even Star Rail NPC are better than Genshin, I mean Penacony does feels like it have life. Wuwa did a great job of not letting NPC and Playable char lives in 2 different worlds. It makes you wonder what Hoyo has been doing with their immense profit. The game still looks the same as it did when it launched, they have been reusing NPCs and character models/animations. 🤔

I think the only one I enjoyed was the shrine maiden for GI but it is unfortunately covered up at the end. WuWa NPCs and characters look much better overall.

@CitlaliSmugg its pretty obvious they recycled npc hair, clothing, faces for many filler events though including HSR NPCs. I played Genshin for 3.5 years. Of course I noticed it.
I currently play WuWa, GirlsFrontline2, Genshin, Infiniti NIkki, HSR for Gachas. Probably ANANTA & ARKNIGHT ENDFIELD in future.
As for COnsoles & PC that I currently playing. : Trails series, Fantasian Neo Dimension, Re Fantazio, Gran Blue Fantasy, Y's Nordics.
my point is, Hoyo devs should make/design unique or memorable NPC for their important story events, not just using usual model. Like Yoimiya's father, with usual NPC look, or the girl in wheelchair for Yoimiya event, or Dunyarzad for Sumeru event.
Metal Gear V used alot reused soldier asset but they're just grunt for Snake to kill, nothing important to the storyline, and many older JRPG too.
and as someone who used Ayaka a lot, Hoyo should fix her face/bang model honestly. it lacks effort, and their effort they rather put onto newer games like ZZZ, HSR. Genshin is just their cashcow for funding Hoyo newer projects. you probably notice hoyo put a lot money effort of marketing Music Video or content creator into HSR. and Animation for ZZZ.

If Genshin with its vast size had more detail, it would have been at least double in size and almost unplayable in its targeted devices (even my 5 year old Redmi Note 7 can run it). But they are still crying when an update is 2-3gb for mobile even with such optimizations...

And i dont care if its run on phone, because genshin open world game isnt suppose to be a phone game anyway. The full & better experience is on PC or ps5. Play With proper controller pad. Mobile ver lost many details compared to PS5 & PC ver. Even optimization on ps4/pro sucks because mihoyo lazy n force it to run on 4k res, which made it run on 25-30 fps

There's this little detail for the guards. But if you play a tall or shorter character, they actually tilt their head upwards or downwards depending on the height of the characters. (Try this with, Jiyan, Calchoro, Verina, Encore, Youhu, etc)

Man even Star Rail NPC are better than Genshin, I mean Penacony does feels like it have life. Wuwa did a great job of not letting NPC and Playable char lives in 2 different worlds. Genshin on the other hand, always gives out that feeling where playable char are full of accesories and NPC are just T- shirt and pants...
