How has this been watched 19,000 times but only liked 1,000 times. This woman made this video to help us and yet you watch it but don’t show support when she’s supporting you. Such a messed up world.
Thank you for making this video :) I appreciate it. Thumbs up from me

    1. Daily ritual- what would bring you peace and happiness? Look forward to a time in day.
    2. Shift is perspective - now about the stress itself, but how we handle it.
    3. Spend time in nature
    4. Deep breathing
    5. Do something you love
    6. Overall positive mindset by positive affirmations
    "everything workouts in the end"
"it doesn't really matter I'll handle it" "all problems have a solution"

Exercise! Walking, racquetball, stretching, visiting art or history museums, and just being outside are all great stress relievers. A mantra I like is "It will all be fine", and another "Will this matter in a year, a month, or even tomorrow?" Just let it go or write it down to download it from your brain's hard drive. Hug a puppy!

Your new haircut suits you very well! When I'm feeling stressed or anxious, I try to remind myself that "life is all about attitude", which helps me shift my thoughts. I also write in my journal and try to think "this is just a moment in a lifetime, like so many others I've experienced, so it will end". Breathing also helps me and going out for a walk. And jasmine tea.

First of all Meghan, love the haircut! Second, I always start my morning with deep breathing & meditation for about 20 minutes. It lowers my blood pressure and makes me feels great! And third, some of the rituals you mentioned I may implement like writing about how should that day should unfold or at least one affirmation. Thanks for these Meghan and Happy Holidays and Happy New year!

I'm easily anxious and I constantly have some stress feelings & tensions store inside my body naturally. However whenever my mom gently touch my back my body just relax sooo much, so I often ask her if she could touch my back for three or five minutes:) And she's a certified aromatherapist so she often makes me my custom essential oils for me to smell and it helps release my stress in me too!

You all should read the book called "The Compound Effect"
Very very helpful and ties into your advice via rituals.
I also HIGHLY recommend isolation tank therapy on top of all of this. It gives us a reduction in the sensory the every day life overloads us with and it is so very beautiful.
I've been floating for 9 weeks now and I am literally NEVER stressed and I work construction. =]
Anyway, Meghan, thank you for the advice. I specially love the chart!!!

I really like hearing your voice it is so soothing. My problem is I have several things that I worry about but can't do anything about but I am not sure I can let them go.
My daughter has many health, mental and physical problems that worry me but I can't just let that go. I have Fibromyalgia and sometimes I can barely function and I have a very sensitive cat and gets depressed when I feed the neighbors cat because they don't because she comes over and is literally skin and bones.
The cat should be something I can do something about. But the animal control will not come to investigate the police are watching but don't care about the cat and her kittens. I would take the cat and her kittens to an animal shelter but the people don't let the kittens out and and the cat is still feeding the kittens.
I don't want to make a big commotion about it because my daughter is at home all day by herself and can't drive or get out of the house.
I know I am using you for a sounding board and I am sorry but I am hoping you can give me a couple of suggestions about how in my situation I can reduce my stress.

    • @meghanlivingstone
      @meghanlivingstone  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi Jessica! Oh dear. Those are all very stressful things. Is there another animal control service you can contact, or perhaps an animal welfare Facebook group in your community that you could reach out to to ask if anyone is willing to assist? Those groups do exist and can be very helpful sometimes!
