My sleep schedule has been screwed for years. I'm a night owl, plain and simple. I love being awake all night, sleeping through mornings, and waking up in the afternoon. I'm actually surprised more people don't like to sleep shortly after work. It feels nice and I never have to wake up to an alarm unless I have some sort of appointment.
As someone who’s worked an overnight shift before (at a senior living facility and a steel company) your sleeping schedule can be a real pain. It mainly became a problem when I worked at the steel factory. I worked 10 hours a day. 50 to even 55 hours a week. But the pay was good, for me anyways. $14.60 then got a raise at $15.35. But that was after I left when only working for 3 months. I left because the environment was too dangerous and risky, and I didn’t wanna risk getting hurt or getting someone else hurt. And I applied for an ON shift for Walmart. Just because I for some reason like it more. Mainly because no one is really out at that time, and it’s usually steady work. Some days and depends on the job really. But it’s only for part-time. Which might not be all that great, but I’m sure the pay will make up for it due to my experience. I already plan on finding a side hustle to reel in more money. That way it helps me start my career in film and help get my family out of debt.
I worked overnight at a grocery store for 2 years while in college. Id have morning classes so id end up getting to sleep at like 2pm for work at 11. I had no problem sleeping during the day but the schedule was shit and the work became pretty dull as well. I worked with some strange people but it was good for the time being.

We are soooooo understaffed it's not even funny (we had 8 people yesterday, and apparently when it was snowing a week only like 4 people showed up) but it is such easy work for $18.50 an hour it literally just feels like XP grinding for a few months of checks. Again, huge thanks for the video, and lastly FUCK the pets department. That shit will make you smell like dog food for days.

All the other people were in the easy isles like toilet paper and dog food while I was opening 1000 box's of deoterants. I had the manager coming up to me in my 1st week telling me to work faster and only me. I got put in most challenging spot and after more of the manager coming up to me telling me I need to work faster, I had to quit later on. It became stressful. Everyone got put on the easy shit that's like 1 isle of big ticket items. I'm stuck doing 6 isles, looking for a needle in a haystack. If you get put in a good department, you are solid. But if you are in a shit department, it's terrible.
I just got hired to work overnight at $15.58 as a stocker and I run my lawn and landscaping/remodeling business during the during the day and I flip and fix cellphone and also I’m an artist and part time National Guard
Hey, you started at the same pay per hour as me. I started at the DC working (weekends, dry side, day shift) it’s only 33 hours a week, but I work enough overtime to get 55 to 60 hours a week. Do you guys get a bonus per week? I get $200 extra a week for working faster. It’s worth it.
Last time I worked as an overnight stocker was in 2012 and we only got paid like 11 dollars an hour, 10 dollars was base pay and an extra 1 dollar for the overnights.

Not trying to make it sound like it's easy or anything, but in my opinion working at walmart is what you make of it. I started at walmart a little under 4 years ago making $11.50 an hour and I now make $19.57 an hour just as a team lead and that's just starting pay. If you become a coach your salary is increased by 20 grand. Sure the job is stressful but any job that pays well is going to be stressful. Plus I do what I have to do to take care of my wife and son. But yeah don't let a**hole management discourage you. Take over this company real talk

How do u apply for overnight position? I only see Stocking team associate available, and it’s for multiple locations, plus there hiring. The stocking team associate position is unloading the truck and stocking which is 2-11PM shift.

I’m sorry bro but it sounds like you don’t want to WORK or do any job that requires physical work. Yes overnight stocking can be frustrating sometimes and hard, but is not a bad job. A jobs a job and money is money. Your there to make money bro. (So for those who are interested in the job, I would definitely recommend it due to more pay being overnight special, and also because there’s no customers!)

I started a week ago & it’s easy to read the labels it’s just hard to find sometimes they didn’t give me a TC so I was confused the first day but you can use the app and time passes by fast cause you get 3 brakes

I went into the store and the closest thing they even have is BB guns, and it was toatlly empty in that section. So I think they will have me doing other stuff the mojority of the time and just be the one that gets called when a customer wants a BB gun or something like that. Did you take the job and start yet? I just started that job last Thursday and I’m completely overwhelmed with everything I need to learn. Then the last few hours they sent me out to straigten things up & put back returns. But they couldn't log me in cuz I was too new, so I couldn't use the app that told me where things went, which made me basically useless, lol. I'll be going in again today and I guess I'll see what a real day is like. Also she said we would all get 40 hours till January, then 32 after that, but also that we can use the app to just schedule ourself for an extra day if we want, and if we work 40 hours for 90 days it will automatically make us full time. So that's something else I don't have to worry about. Also the firearmes/ammo doesn't really mean anything. It's just sporting goods, but that doesn't mean anything either. We also have to do toys and fabrics and basically anything in that area. But that also doesn't mean anything because apparartly we are the first to be pulled when someplace else needs help, I guess because it's so slow in that corner. It also helps that it's a really small Walmart I think. People will go to a bigger one nearby if they really want a good selection, at least that's what it seems like. The girl I worked with at the end of the day said it's easy once you know where everything is but I think that will take awhile, lol. It looks like it will be pretty easy to me, and again I hope things are going well for you!

It’s 16 and older, but with limited hours I believe. 18 and older can dull full shifts. No the Walmart I was working at would close at 10pm and sometimes 11pm depending on the days. After they close it’s only you and your coworkers. no customers at all (:

I really recommend you lift weights for any type of stocking job. You have got to be quite strong at times.

I was lifting 40-50 lb tires on a 12 hour shift so hopefully the stocking position isn't too bad when I start. Lol

How do u apply for overnight position? I only see Stocking team associate available, and it’s for multiple locations, plus there hiring. The stocking team associate position is unloading the truck and stocking which is 2-11PM shift.

I’m sorry bro but it sounds like you don’t want to WORK or do any job that requires physical work. Yes overnight stocking can be frustrating sometimes and hard, but is not a bad job. A jobs a job and money is money. Your there to make money bro. (So for those who are interested in the job, I would definitely recommend it due to more pay being overnight special, and also because there’s no customers!)
Yea I was planning on working their for 5 months or maybe even a year to gather a couple of checks and look for another job after lol my sleeping schedule sucks to but I’m not planning on doing this for my whole life haha

I started a week ago & it’s easy to read the labels it’s just hard to find sometimes they didn’t give me a TC so I was confused the first day but you can use the app and time passes by fast cause you get 3 brakes

I went into the store and the closest thing they even have is BB guns, and it was toatlly empty in that section. So I think they will have me doing other stuff the mojority of the time and just be the one that gets called when a customer wants a BB gun or something like that. Did you take the job and start yet? I just started that job last Thursday and I’m completely overwhelmed with everything I need to learn. One of my friends worked at Walmart and he said under general merchandise they have you all over the place, but it’s been a few years since he worked there so it’s possible they changed that. The other day was so bad I was thinking I should of just taken the Walmart job. Walmart would be stressful too but a different kind of stressful. I too went and checked out my Walmart to see the area they said I’d be in, it was a little ghost town over there nobody around but they did have the setup for cashier and I was told that position doesn’t have to do cashier but I think the lied lol.
@@Ashlore28 I hope things got better for you! My orientation was all day yesterday. It was really boring. The woman just talked about herself most of the day. Then the last few hours they sent me out to straigten things up & put back returns. But they couldn't log me in cuz I was too new, so I couldn't use the app that told me where things went, which made me basically useless, lol. I'll be going in again today and I guess I'll see what a real day is like. Also she said we would all get 40 hours till January, then 32 after that, but also that we can use the app to just schedule ourself for an extra day if we want, and if we work 40 hours for 90 days it will automatically make us full time. So that's something else I don't have to worry about. Also the firearmes/ammo doesn't really mean anything. It's just sporting goods, but that doesn't mean anything either. We also have to do toys and fabrics and basically anything in that area. But that also doesn't mean anything because apparartly we are the first to be pulled when someplace else needs help, I guess because it's so slow in that corner. It also helps that it's a really small Walmart I think. People will go to a bigger one nearby if they really want a good selection, at least that's what it seems like. The girl I worked with at the end of the day said it's easy once you know where everything is but I think that will take awhile, lol. It looks like it will be pretty easy to me, and again I hope things are going well for you!

It’s 16 and older, but with limited hours I believe. 18 and older can dull full shifts. No the Walmart I was working at would close at 10pm and sometimes 11pm depending on the days. After they close it’s only you and your coworkers. no customers at all (:

They just kinda batch at you more like they keep coming by your area and encouraging you to work faster. If you're a team leader and don't meet requirements then I'm not super sure
