I was never a Walmart stocker, but I worked for a contractor that remodeled stores. I saw how many stores were ran. Im not running around like a robot. You shouldn't have to. We are human after all. Just reasonably stock with a decent pace. Walmart won't be there for you when your back snap, crackle and pop 😅 Management is usually ran by sociopaths. It's like a dictatorship. They walk around talking to people like they own them. They neglect the same employees in the same position many were in before becoming a manager. Guess what? They hated it too and they complained like everybody else. I dont know one person that work there with nice things to say about it. It is absolutely amazing watching people break their backs like their life is at stake. They aint gon pay you more for speed stocking. Somewhere down the line humans became conditioned to the systems that be and they think busting their ass is the way of life. You see some of the idiots in your comments willingly defending them as if to say live with it. These are the same people that keep these places treating employees like shit. They stand for nothing. These are the same ass kissers you'll find on the inside too. The harder you work, the more they'll expect from you. Never will they appreciate you. They wonder why the turn over ratio is atrocious. They're always hiring. They want you to be miserable because there is no fucking point to hand somebody a shit load of dog food to stock within a 3 hour time frame. Get fucking real. They would feel the same way if they were you. That's why I dont fuck with this line of work. They are run by hypocritical psychos. Those who stand for this shit are the problem! Again, they'll kiss Walmart ass even on the outside. They'll tell you to just do it and suck it up. Well fuck them and Walmart. You should like where you work. If it is stressing you out, bounce. Find a better job that suits you.

My sleep schedule has been screwed for years. I'm a night owl, plain and simple. I love being awake all night, sleeping through mornings, and waking up in the afternoon. I'm actually surprised more people don't like to sleep shortly after work. It feels nice and I never have to wake up to an alarm unless I have some sort of appointment.

Not trying to make it sound like it's easy or anything, but in my opinion working at walmart is what you make of it. I started at walmart a little under 4 years ago making $11.50 an hour and I now make $19.57 an hour just as a team lead and that's just starting pay. If you become a coach your salary is increased by 20 grand. Sure the job is stressful but any job that pays well is going to be stressful. Plus I do what I have to do to take care of my wife and son. But yeah don't let a**hole management discourage you. Take over this company real talk

It isn’t worth it. A lot of people who get treated right are the ones who kiss ass but if you don’t kiss managements ass, then good luck. For me i quit cuz of management. Things got bad during COVID and was the only one working in deli and bakery for closing shift. Then in 2021 I was still doing the same. I would get in trouble for closing deli early that way I could go to lunch because there wasn’t anyone to cover for me and management would get angry at me and threaten to fire me. I had to close early cuz it takes for ever to take deli apart in order to wash all dishes and clean fryer and rotisserie machine and mop and put everything away and throw trash omg it was horrible and also do bakery as well. So no lunch breaks for me. I ended up reporting them to hr and that didn’t work. Before reporting it to hr, I did speak to management about it and man they didn’t do anything about it. So I quit. In 2020 they hired extras to help and my manager never wanted to hire extras to help me with deli and bakery. I ended up changing to work part time and man I was working 48hrs!!! 48hrs isn’t part time at all! I also would get in trouble if I would leave on the time that I’m scheduled for. On my days off they would ask me if I can come into work and I always said no cuz I never had lunch breaks and the next day management would yell at me for not coming into work to help out on my day off🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Walmart just haves such a bad reputation and some stores aren’t bad and abusive towards the workers but most of them all are very bad.

I’m sorry bro but it sounds like you don’t want to WORK or do any job that requires physical work. Yes overnight stocking can be frustrating sometimes and hard, but is not a bad job. A jobs a job and money is money. Your there to make money bro. (So for those who are interested in the job, I would definitely recommend it due to more pay being overnight special, and also because there’s no customers!)

I’m an LA barber and I got 20 porcelain veneers for 7500 in Los Angeles. I don’t even get cavities because I be water flossing them and flossing tf out of them. I work a lot and drink straight black coffee. I love them so much. I don’t want plastic composite veneers tbh. But they are beautiful but I be smoking and drinking coffee and I know I would stain composite in days 😂

I could attest to what you're saying bro, I worked at Sears Department store back in 2008- When I started working, the manager didn't put me with team members to properly train me, I just learn how to do certain things on my own. The pay was extremely low, and you had to deal with ungrateful employees and customers- I would never work retail again.

3 hrs? I had 10 hrs of freight in infants last night. Not every area has to be done in 3 hrs. It's overwhelming. But the fast ones are the pluggers that don't care if it's done right. Try infants it's terrible they never put men there and it's the hardest one. Your not complaining your telling the truth. Walmart sucks I never get help either, ivy grocery and front wall

I hear ya brother ! I worked for Walmart 5 years & 2 months. It used to be very cool there w/ no problems for me. Past year new management came in & hell happened. You're exactly 💯 right on them bugging the sh$t out of associates constantly asking them if or when they're going to be finished stocking. I was a night stocker & my isle was chemicals. It wore & tore & my physical health for 2 years there & also my mental health as well by management harassing me & taking me to the office for coachings in which i never had before. I'd have like 3 hrs on the board there but in reality it was 4 hrs with 1 extra pallet. I'd get so much freight & less help. Used to get 6- 12 hrs mostly but at times would be up to 15-25. I could only do up to 7 on my own & that included air care in the next isle. I got sick & tired of it all. The pay was $19.19 but overall it wasn't worth it & the mngers gossiping talking sh$t behind my back like you mentioned. Their time limits & expectations are very unreasonable & unfeasible. Many people there don't have good work ethics as well. I was always told i was a good worker & only one who do do my area fastest when others couldn't & needed 2-3 people. I'd do it all on my own. I don't recommend to any one working there. It's not worth it. A very horrible place to work in. I'm surprised i stuck it out !

Good for you to quit Walmart. I’m working at Walmart but during the day time. I use to work overnight for 3 years but I switched to day shift. Right now I’m being rushed and all my managers are rushing us but at the same time they are laughing amongst themselves in the backroom while we associates are sweating while we unload the truck. Plus I hurt my back lifting those big dog food.

So many issues with wallmart. They treat the employees like shit they expect way more then 1 person can actually do in the amount of time we have to do it. Then if you are a good worker then will abuse it and expect even more. The point system is absolute bullshit people get pointed for shit they shouldnt. Oh yes coworkers and managers do say this and that about you. I had managers and coworkers especially complain about me so much saying I despair in the fitting room saying I go back into my people leads Ginger office and talk to her while on the clock and that was so untrue they all lied including my managers they lied and said I am rude to customers and I am slow cleaning fitting rooms and helping customers etc! Yes I hate working at Walmart and I got fired from AP of accusing of stealing sweet teas and hair ties it was a mistake they wanted to get rid of me so I can leave Ginger alone! AP Erica is happy she fired me so now I have to payback damages to Walmart I am going to payback and I am getting a new job!

As someone who’s worked an overnight shift before (at a senior living facility and a steel company) your sleeping schedule can be a real pain. It mainly became a problem when I worked at the steel factory. I worked 10 hours a day. 50 to even 55 hours a week. But the pay was good, for me anyways. $14.60 then got a raise at $15.35. But that was after I left when only working for 3 months. I left because the environment was too dangerous and risky, and I didn’t wanna risk getting hurt or getting someone else hurt. And I applied for an ON shift for Walmart. Just because I for some reason like it more. Mainly because no one is really out at that time, and it’s usually steady work. Some days and depends on the job really. But it’s only for part-time. Which might not be all that great, but I’m sure the pay will make up for it due to my experience. I already plan on finding a side hustle to reel in more money. That way it helps me start my career in film and help get my family out of debt.
