I’ve been a sahm since I had my daughter in 2020, I was previously a supervisor at a chicken plant & this mom life has changed me a lot. I really just wanna get back to making money again. I’ve had bad anxiety over gettin back to work and have been putting off applying at Walmart for weeks now. You just helped ease a lot of that anxiety, thank you for posting this video!

Good luck at Walmart. I actually worked there for 7 years. It was my first job. Some words of advice is not to get involved in the drama and have good relationships with your managers. I always did and was able to get most days off I requested. Also, working customer service can be stressful and you will get bad customers, but don’t take it personally.

@@a.j_lifetimea.j6494 I don’t work at Walmart anymore, but yes they will call you if you passed the interview process, and give u a orientation date and time. I worked in OGP witch was amazing but then we got a new manager, and things just started going down hill. At the time we were undergoing a remodel so items and shelves were getting moved around so you didn’t really know where stuff were. I was a really hard worker and made sure I would do things right but my manager thought other wise, and would get mad at me for stuff I couldn’t control, so I just had enough of it and quit. But Walmart isn’t a bad job, you have funny moments with mad customers, I have so many stories and I only worked there for 5 months. Overall 7/10 experience.

@@CookieRenee427 I hear ya,.I've been here a month in Pittston PA and I like it. Day goes by fast, I'm the only man on a team of women and I cover kids clothes through men's. Same work every day so far so I've learned my area pretty well. Xmas stuff is getting hectic.

I had my orientation today and it was pretty chill. It was about 2 hours long. They basically gave us our employee logins, went over the handbook, and gave us a small tour. That’s literally all we did. I have to go back Monday and do onboarding videos and fill out other stuff. Feel free to ask me questions.
I just got hired. I went in the first day to do like i9 forms and things like that. Then they told us to come back the next day for 8 hours from noon to 8 p.m. what are we doing to be doing for 8 hours. Would you know? She said it’s not working she said computer stuff cause I’m not ready to start working off bat like that lol
@@Purppusay For me it was 5 hours to do the computer stuff. I actually don’t officially start until tomorrow, so I’m not sure about your situation.

Thanks for the info. I have orientation Sat at 10am. I was hired in Digital for a personal shopper full time at $19 an hour!! When they offered to start me at $19 I was shocked. This is my first time working in retail, for the last 17 years I've been working in the medical field and just needed a change with all this COVID business!

I applied and currently waiting to do an interview and I'm going to call them tomorrow asking about my application. I'm currently working at McDonald's but barely getting me any work hours. I'm nervous cause interviews are my biggest weaknesses, but I am excited for my interview and hopefully start working there

I had my orientation on Wednesday and I start my first day on Tuesday I work the overnight fulfilment associate position 11:00pm-7:00am. The manager that did my orientation was super nice and made me feel like part of the team. I haven’t gotten my vest yet but got my name tag during orientation.

@@angelkingzz it’s exhausting, your stalking shelves for a good portion of the shift and then at the last hour and a half you’re doing a thing called zoning. Zoning is where you make the isles look good before costumers come in, you have to bring all the products on the shelves to the front of the shelf and make it straight and appealing to the eye. I’ve been working overnight for a month and 2 weeks so far and I actually hate it I’m so tired and my body is not used to the messed up sleep schedule I’m trying to switch to the evening position.

I had orientation today, basically sat my butt in a room with others on the computers from 10:30 to 12:40 (in between got shown around the place) at the end we had to shadow to the cashiers. I was watching for like 20-30 minutes before trying it out (made so many mistakes I wanted cry). I was really nervous

I have my orientation tomorrow at 9am. I was really nervous, still kinda am, but your video really calmed my anxiety. I applied for online order filler. I had a phone interview, and it literally lasted for 9 minutes. And then I got hired the next day. Even though I’m nervous, I’m really excited to start working.

@@carlosmyles2822 I know a few people in maintenance, and they seem to really enjoy what they do. They’re also really nice and funny people too. I really enjoyed my orientation, and the team lead(is like a supervisor) who led the orientation was really nice. Everyone I’ve met so far at my Walmart has made me feel very comfortable, along with a sense of belonging. I’ve also noticed that my self esteem has gotten better over the past month since I’ve been working at Walmart. All in all, just remember to breathe and keep a positive attitude. You don’t have to do or be everything all at once. Everything will work itself out - even if it doesn’t seem like it right away. Hope you enjoy your orientation! Have a nice day/night! 💜

You don't even have to be interview by a manager. Walmart is hiring anyone that put in an application. They're desperate. Because everyone is quitting. I put in an application last than a half of hour. They gave me a call and hired me. I didn't even have to wait a week for a back ground check. I went to my orientation the next day. It usually takes about 4 hours. You listen to some woman explaining the rules and dress code. Then watch a video on a computer and answer questions.

What type of questions do u have to answer?
@@genissefranklin796 mostly about hazardous material, shoplifting and etc. You have to watch a short video. Then it will ask you a question. But the video will give you the answer. So you have to listen carefully.

So basically for the first 2 months make sure u come in every time your scheduled on time because there watching you 👀 if they see you took several days off or forgot to clock out multiple times for break than after 2 months they can fire u

Don’t they only offer that for certain schools though? When I was looking it up they only listed a few schools they were doing it for. I go to UNLV so I don’t think that would apply
I got hired on the spot and it caught me so off guard because I’ve never had that happen. But it makes me happy since I quit Amazon like a week ago and really needed to get a job lol. I’m not too nervous, I’m just nervous about coworkers. But I’m gonna be doing online order filling so apparently I won’t be around coworkers like that she said.

my interview went great ! since this is my first job , i didn’t have a background check lol . the interviewer like
my energy as soon as i walked in the office . i had a “bubbly” and “joyful” energy the person said . Didn’t really ask me much questions about me only talked about Walmart and how it is working over there . i got my paperwork from them and will be going to orientation next week . other than that , it was worth it !

@@TheShyAiko they shouldn’t do a drug test as long as you don’t have a criminal background with drugs. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you come to work under the influence.
Also, will they let you work 40 hours a week if you’re in school even if you free up your availability?

Hello! I’m 16 and I am thinking about working as a cashier at Walmart. This would be my first official job and that is so nerve racking! First of all, how would they pay me (through checks, my banking account, an app, etc?) secondly, would they hire me as a cashier being as young as I am or would they prefer going for older candidates? Last question I promise, who would I talk to about changing my schedule and/or taking a week off work?
You will learn as you go. I wanted to get paid with checks. They will ask how you wish to be paid. Be open minded what position they give you. If you don't like, ask to change. Of course, have to talk to your manager about scheduling. But remember, this is work. You won't get an ok or yes. If you didn't work for it. A consistent worker. Then you get some perks of getting ur request time off. Unless ur manager is a jerk. Don't stay, if so.

I’m 27 I got a job as an overnight stocker for 14.50 an hour. More than I made at cvs lol. This might be temporary. Depends on how much I like it.

@@LooseyPueblo321 my hiring manager literally told me that’s the absolute worst spot in the store because of all that heavy lifting. Ask for team lift with those bags of dog food and kitty litter. Don’t want you getting hurt on the job. They get paid to help! My Orientation is Tuesday sometime lol

If they don’t call back within the month then just reapply. When I first applied they didn’t call me and when my application expired I reapplied and they called me 2 hours later.

I’m considering working as a cashier at Walmart! I’m currently a certified nursing assistant but I’m only getting paid $11.25 and I work 12 hr shifts. I need a job that pays more and does direct deposit since my current job only does checks 😅 my boyfriend just got hired at Walmart as a stocker and is getting paid $15 an hour!
