Walmart sucks because of management. They treat everyone like crap,or more like everyone who doesn’t have sex with them and everyone who doesn’t kisses their ass. Then expect to get treated like crap. Also if you weren’t all bffs with department managers and coaches then expect to be treated like crap as well. Doesn’t matter if you say hi and smile at them on,y,expect to be treated like crap cuz you aren’t kissing their ass. I was working in bakery and deli from 2019-2021 it was cool at first but after COVID happened I was never allowed to take a lunch break and my manager stopped hiring so it was just me in both departments during closing shift. Morning shift was always full and they didn’t wanted to transfer to help out in closing shift. In nov202-2021 I was part time so I was scheduled 27hrs and I was super happy with the hours but I was working 50hrs every week because I wasn’t allowed to leave at my scheduled time because of management. Days offs sucked because they would always call me to come into work and if I didn’t answer they would end up texting me. I never went to work on my days off,so the next day management was super pissed off at me. The schedule was always constantly being changed all the freaking time. I also was never allowed to be off on mothers day&fathers day because my manager told me that I’m not a mother and don’t have any children,so I have to come in to work all day by myself in bakery &deli. It really sucked. I was also the youngest from my department so I would get bullied a lot by the grumpy older ladies. I quit in fall of 2021 and I’m much more happier and finally get to actually relax and I’m not all stressed out. I haven’t went back to shop at that Walmart. Once I quit, I never went back to visit or to buy stuff and I don’t plan on ever stepping inside that store. Management really mistreats people. That’s why it’s true what people say about Walmart. Everyone looks depressed.

I'm fortunate enough to have a remote job, but need a 2nd job, I have my mortgage covered with my primary job. I'm not happy about being 30 years old and having to go to Wal-Mart for part time work, but it is fixed income and 3 days a week honestly isn't painful compared to 7 days a week.
I also do Insta Cart, but having to pay quarterly taxes does suck.

I worked at Walmart for almost 4 years. Basically what you said is true. I was injured several times on the job and had my glasses broken because I was throwing a truck and these idiots were not pushing the line not to mention I have a tremor in my left die because of being hit with boxes. In the area where I live, they’re mostly ghetto Walmarts they keep these groups of friends treat them like their own official managers but really they’re just snitches and troublemakers you cannot have friends at any of these type of stores. Not to mention these clicks don’t do a damn thing. They’re the ones that are standing around, while everyone else does the work, which is few and far between not to mention, there’s a lot of retail theft, along with petty crimes that happened in all of these Walmarts. I was the victim of false accusations, and not to mention several assaults. Walmart in the Philadelphia area had to hire the Pennsylvania constables to protect the stores which really that doesn’t do much for retail theft plus the vandalism like people throwing worms up in the air from the fishing refrigerator, eating their way through the store or riding or racing bicycles through the store. I would also like to say in the Philadelphia area that there’s plenty of discrimination because of one’s complexion, which is hard to believe, and the Philadelphia County laws. Do not help you working outside the county just put you in tax debt. Not to mention these jackasses like the coaches a.k.a. the assistant managers cut your hours when it’s time for them to go on vacation so they get their bonus for cost cutting.

The manager that was supposed to "train" me was talking shit behind my back by saying he was glad I was a "temp" at the time. Now he all buddy buddy all of a sudden. I worked for Sam’s Club for a few days. They were shady from the beginning. I never did the computer stuff and I got the run around when I asked to do it. Also, the way did lunch was crazy. It was technically 45 mins but it was combined with the last break. So 30 mins of being clocked out, then clocking in after at taking that 15 min break. So it would be about a 4ht stretch from lunch to “normal” clock out time. It was 3pm-11:30pm shift. The 2 full shifts I was there, we had OT between 1-2hrs. So working between 5-6hrs with no break and not doing the onboarding process is why I had quit on on my 5th day. I didn’t even start that shift

Wal-Mart is a double-edged sword in my opinion. I currently work for them. I've been employed there for over 16 years. I don't like the understaffing issues my store has in every department. If a problem requiring help occurs, most of management just don't even try to give advice or assist you with some sort of help. I also dislike the unreasonable expectations that Walmart teaches their management to have by making their associates do more with less help. Other than that, the pay and benefits are good. It's just one of those things. You have to take the good with the bad.

I liked working at Walmart, it wasn’t that bad at all, I worked in the big backroom on cap 2 and worked in the garden center, so I enjoyed working there, I was terminated bc I accidentally closed the curtain in garden center on a customer who was outside looking around and I didnt know it and she called the store and was freaking out about it plus I had did some other stuff too but that was last year around may when I was terminated from that place…..Now I work at GW part time and I do get a 10 min break and 30 mins for lunch, I liked the hour dinner break that you get a Walmart bc it’s alot longer and I use to get coffee on my 15 min breaks but not anymore since I work at GW, I have been drinking the hot chocolate that was donated but it hadn’t been opened, it’s the big container of it, someone donated 2 of them so I had been drinking them, they were brand new, they weren’t opened, so I started to use them……But anyway I liked working for Walmart when I did and I did stop some people from stealing shit out the door but I know they come in and steal some shit throughout the store……Walmart has good benefits as well so that’s another reason why I liked working there…..It’s a good place to work, some people don’t like it but I sure did…..

I've had managers that acted like I couldn't even take a 15 minute break even though I am entitled to one after the first two hours of my shift and the two hours before you go home. We have an overnight manager now that when they comes in, starts pointing and complaining on why things aren't done. I'm on jainitorial maintenance and I asked them to open up the grocery compactor and when we got there and they saw the trash that was there, they got on me for it and blamed the first person they saw basically. I told them that they need to get on the team leads and all the departments to get a manager to open it for them and stop leaving it there and passing it along to someone else and make sure it doesn't block the fire exit either. That same overnight manager I pass by personel without going in and they are so loud to a point you can immediately here them from outside the office even with the door closed and they were start complaining. If you don't want to work in your position, step down and go to another department instead of taking it out on someone else. Or better yet, find another job. Its easy to a job for the salary and not want to do work while your ass is in the office doing nothing. One of those that think they can treat employees like shit the moment they walk in. They also recently made a metal cage to put the plastics in so it can be wheeled over from the grocery backroom to the GM backroom my coworker was working it and was wonder why I was wheeling it to the other side, I told them to talk to that same manager who immediately started complaining about it and told me to move it even though I told them my coworker was working on it. I told my coworker if that happens again, a useless manager told me to do it. Now Walmart calls them the managers as coaches now. We both agreed that you gotta love it when a manager comes in to work and immediately starts being nasty and complains and loves to change the procedure. I will guarantee that when that overnight manager leaves due to getting laid off, fired or they quit, things will go back to how it was before. Always does. The only ones that win are Sam and Bud Walton's demon spawn and their family. Before my shift at 12:30 PM before a 1-10 shift on May 12, I saw $100 at a self check doing food shopping and should have turned it in and I didn't. That was my fault and I fucked up. The customer called about it and they saw the camera and I was called into the office and terminated. Forgot I had it on me, said I didn't, remembered I did and gave in to the Store Lead and the Auto Manager, who was an AP manager till a new one came in and was terminated for gross misconduct and lack of intergrity at 4:30 PM and that I was do not rehire. I was not arrested, was told to turn in my badge, vest, work phone and discount card in and was told to leave. I found a new job 2 weeks later EXACTLY and was only unemployed only for 18 days. I started orientation at my new job 18 days later. Doubt I will get unemployment for gross misconduct. I did daytime full time maintenance at Walmart. I work at a grocery store now making $15.50 an hour. I was earning $14 at Walmart after 3 years and 4 months there. I feel bad for what I did and I'm not rehireable, but at the time, I'm also relieved. Walmart was a drag and I still have lingering body pains from the job from heaving lifting from throwing out garbage into the compactors. I felt Walmart did me a favor. My new job is far different and much more relaxed. I'm NOT proud of what I did, but they did promote me to customer now. My management team was straight up garbage. Even the overnight ones. When my stepdad died from cancer on March 14, 2020 and my maternal grandmother from Alzheimers in October 26, 2020 and Covid didn't help, I had the 3 days bereavement both times plus my normal 2 days off. I can picture Walmart doing this. After I was fired on May 12, 2023, even though it was for theft and gross misconduct and not rehireable, I feel bad for what I did to get fired, but relieved feeling free. I found a job exactly 2 weeks later. And started the new job 18 days at a local supermarket. I'm earning $15.50 at my new job doing part time and after 3 years and 3 months there at Walmart starting in apparel at $11 when I started and finished doing janitorial maintenance at Walmart at $14 an hour. They took quarterly bonuses away about a year and a half ago. I worked there from Feb 13, 2019 at Walmart until I was fired on May 12, 2023! Fuck WALMART! Promoted to customer NOW and FOREVER! Management is just as incompetent as when I worked at Home Depot. I dunno which is worse, Home Depot or Walmart. I think Walmart, by a little bit, but not by much. I worked at Home Depot 7 years and 10 months there. I have to rollover my 401k from Home Depot/Walmart since it was from HD and then put to Walmart in 2020 and put into another 401k when I have the chance or they will charge me a fee a year of about $9 or just leave it there. Once I do that, I am truly done with Walmart!

That’s messed up. They laid me off after 8 months and this one manager treated me like crap and not the other employees probably because of my race except for maybe 3 other employees who ended up leaving and I’m glad they laid me off and I had so much more free time to pursue my hobbies with my time off

So as an employer from the first 30 seconds of the video you say you can't hold a job and you posted this on social media. Smart.
