I felt everything you said right here!! I worked as a online personal shopper and I was only there for 2 weeks before they fired me for apparently going slow but then again every manager there was rude and when I asked a question they would just walk away or tell me to ask someone else. I had over 100 pics and I got it done within an hour and I’m new. They don’t care about respect and they won’t ever treat people right

I make it a year at Walmart as an overnight stocker in 2 weeks. They always try to force us to make the stock times but it never happens. We are short staffed and the time is usually not realistic if you have multiple isles to do. I only got written up once for not finishing on time by a coach who expects too much. Other than that it's pretty chill. I just come to work and do my job . I don't talk to much coworkers
You can't talk there's no time lol I dont either, take my breaks and lunch later than the others. I always have so much freight it's ridiculous, they're slowly killing me fr, I'm 51 still raising a child alone for the most part and they put me where it's the hardest, infants. Pharmacy hba very seldom grocery and that's where I prefer. I'm never in the same place, hate it mostly because everything is so plugged. Took me 2 hrs to clean up all the messes from last shift, returns ppl, customers etc. Infants is never checked and I flipped last night lol it hasn't been zoned or cleaned up in a month when I worked it last. Shit still laying there when I was there a month ago that I found everywhere. I yes made the coach and tl come look at the mess before I started and told them they need to check whoever is working it's work, every night lol just because the manager doesn't go back thru there doesn't mean they should let it just get destroyed and I mean literally destroyed. Sorry hate my job lol
i been a month at walmart and i aint giving it up this pays so well compared to my previous job where i was getting paid shit 9$ compared to 15$ i will work my ass off and not complain
The hiring process is too complicated for a shitty job. Quit OGP 3 days in. Left me to my own devices on day 2 and I fucked up about 20 different orders because I never got trained properly. What I did: dropped all my walmart shit on the spot, set up direct deposit in the back, and clocked out mid shift
I definitely get where you are coming from, this job is actually horrible. I thought I would like it but the OGP department is ran horribly. Mind you I’ve been working in this department for 4 weeks now🤦🏽♀️
@@arx3lsworld38 yup I’ve been in OGP as a dispenser for two weeks now and the team lead is the big B word. Like she talks to everyone like she is the one cutting the checks smh. Walmart pays good but have shit team leads and coaches sometimes
I only lasted 2 weeks lmao! I was trained for a day and was thrown to the wolves, expected me to be as fast as everyone that has been their for years and not mess up. Doing 20,000 steps a day dealing with customers and coaches was not worth it.
Wow I Understand. I just started and finishes 2 weeks overnight stocking in Walmart. The first 2 days they seemed chill but then started preasuring me to work faster when I was honestly working hard. The big problem I noticed is the whole stocking is under staffed and dis organized. For example, when stocking in the cereal section Im opening boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios but I can't work as fast as they want me to because the wrong cereal is on the Mega Cheerios slot so I have to move the similar cheerios in the wrong slot to the correct slot to have room to un load the Cherios because msny previos shifts just throw stuff up there to make a fast time. And its dis organized cus on the top over stock shelve there is already boxes of cereal that I can move down to save opening a new box of cereals un neccesarily. Then because of that you dont have enough time to zone 4 Isles with only a hour left and take empty boxes to the back and orginize overstalked items and the few boxes you didnt get to .If everyone would slow down just a little and bring down some overstalk then there wouldn't be as many cluttered pallets in the back stocking area. And the Natures Valley grsnola bats are all scattered on top and mix matched in the wrong slot's which happens when they preasure stockers to.move fast instead of just doing a good job the first time which will save money in the long wrong so the next shift doesn't have to re orginize it.All those yellow Nature's Vslley grabola bars look similar and the over stock shelve is piled high and looks like a cluster mess.!! Basically what Im saying is its better to do a slower job good and neatly then just throwing crap up super fast the way they want you to which creates more stress. And many time we cant control the awkward things Walmart customers move and leave in different departments like stloen merchdise like opened empty watches ect..I need money for now but its hard physically since its alot of running around bsck and forth in a huge store.Maybe I will last 1 month altogether..Not s easy job and its stressful. Kalif
Hi , former stocker here I TOTALLY FELT THIS! The only reason why I still work at Walmart is because I got offered a maintanece position! But being in maintenance I tell everyone I didn’t like stocking and they would always put me in the baking aisle. I’m a chubby set woman with skinny arms and they would expect me lift 25 lbs flour and sugar. Sometimes I had help but it wasn’t too much before I went to baking I was in HBA ( shampoo etc ) hated that even more because I would always have to stay over with 1 other worker every morning binning stuff the money was nice but not never knowing what time I’d get home sucked. Really spot on video. I started working there in February this year after quitting my factory job of almost 5 years!
I felt this to the core lol I still work there too but I think I'm about over it. Money's decent but at what cost,ya know. I'm a hard worker and they know it but they take advantage of it too much, imma start slacking off lol
I lasted about month doing overnight stocking before I asked one of the team leads/coaches about switching to a different job position. Now I'm much happier in my current position than I was doing the overnight stock.
I honestly feel like the people you work with is what makes the job environment horrible! I work at Walmart for cap 2 department which is unloading the semi and they expect a 65 year old women in our department to get inside the semi and push all the boxes out as if we don’t have 15 men there to do so and they always threaten her to do it if not she has to clock out an go home. It’s absolutely ridiculous how much they ask of people as if we’re super human. They’ve also tried to put me into the semi and I refused and clocked out and went home.. I’m honestly thinking of quitting now.
Damn, I feel bad for y'all younger cats today. I used to work stock at a major upscale department store in NYC back in the late 80s to 96'. We worked hard, but weren't micro managed to the point where we hated coming to work, or wanted to quit. I can't lie, I spent almost 8 years there working Part Time, and got into a argument with a manager ONCE. All we had to do was keep our section stocked, neat, and help out customers. We didn't really have to help because that's what the salesperson was there for. But if they were busy, we'd just do it because it was cool with us. Half the time when our section was neat and stocked up, we were in the various stock rooms, sitting on boxes, listening to music, flirting with the sales women on other floors and just bullshtting. Lmao! I miss retail then. Funny thing is, when I left, I was making 10 bucks an hour. In 1996, 7. Once and while I think how much I'd be making in 22' if I stayed there as the Old Stock Guy 😉
I worked in retail as a 4am stocker. Did it for about a year. Felt like a zombie the whole time. My co workers were cool for the most part, some of the managers were cool and some were dicks. Quit that job and got a job for a school district as a custodian, the pay and benefits are great. Felt like I died and went to heaven.
I could attest to what you're saying bro, I worked at Sears Department store back in 2008- When I started working, the manager didn't put me with team members to properly train me, I just learn how to do certain things on my own. The pay was extremely low, and you had to deal with ungrateful employees and customers- I would never work retail again.
I do overnight stocking for Walmart as well and pretty soon I’ll be quitting. Fundamentally there is something wrong with the job. We’re suppose to have finished stocking and completed all other tasks within a period 8 hours and 30 mins. The expectation is unrealistic because it is on a daily basis that someone doesn’t finish stocking when our shift ends at 6AM. The more difficult aisles which are frozen and dairy are always staying passed 6. They’ll get out at 7AM. And then the team leads and coaches get on our asses for having to do overtime.
I'm an over night stocker at Walmart . I mostly work in HBA . I can barely get it done by 6 30 sometimes I can't. My team lead threatening to put me in the freezer . I weigh 118 lbs . My body can't handle the freezer! About to tell them to f off
Omg, I’m also an overnight stocker and I’m just about to quit. My managers are okay (they definitely do gossip) my coworkers are okay but I’m young. I think the job is a little too much on my body. It seemed nice at first to work at night and have the day to yourself, but it got old real quick. I can’t do what I want during the day if I have to work the next night! I’m too tired to do anything anyways. I’m eating at weird times and I feel I’m never well rested. I wanna be asleep when everyone else is. I’ve also read tons of articles and they all say working overnight is bad for your health. I’m sick of opening boxes, I’m sick of sweating, rushing to do shit and when I finish early, I gotta help other people. That 18.50 is not worth it for me.
Btw I quit and have a new job. I’m happy. I’m balanced. Don’t let this world or this society make you think you can’t have it all. You can have balance, your health, a good work environment and get by just fine. 💖
Tamron Brown yeah I definitely feel you. I’m 2-11 and I get home and I sleep until the afternoon until I have to get up for work again. I’m also young and it definitely is a strain on the body. Man my back gets super hot and uncomfortable at night to where I can’t sleep. I’m not one to exaggerate but this is the worst job I’ve ever worked in my life and I should’ve listened to the stereotypes about Walmart lol I guess I just wanted to see for myself.
People make it seem like it’s worth it just because of the pay but I’m not being in a negative environment where I don’t feel like myself working at this job is terrible
Tamron Brown I also got treated terrible here. Since they knew I was friends with a worker here and that’s why I got the job they purposely picked on me and singled me out. Would yell out loud specifically at me that I’m not working faster I need more boxes in my hand, I need to push the line whatever it may be. I got into it with the leads a lot and even complained to the store owner about it and they just said it’s a misunderstanding because I’m new and that I’m probably not being discriminated but I definitely am. And also I’m only 18 and pretty small and skinny but I can carry a decent amount of pounds. They had me try to throw the truck and they got mad when I told them I can’t do it. Like if I need a step stool to reach the boxes why should I have to do it? The boxes were hitting me in my eyes and face and they didn’t even teach me the right way of getting the boxes down without all of them falling on my face. There’s 40 year old 6ft men in there way bigger than me idk why they didn’t have them do it. Ik it’s in the job description to do but come on have some sense. Just had to rant about this horrible job somewhere because it’s physically and mentally draining
I just got hired ,today is my 3rd day yesterday was supposed to me my training and everyone was gone I went to ask for help by coworkers and no one helped me and said they didn’t know my trainer or leader I was so confused i went to find the manager and assistant manager and they were gone too, and I left I should’ve have but I had no idea what I was doing I pray today they teach and don’t leave me there alone
3 hrs? To unload a whole section? If you use a shopping cart instead you can load up more boxes at a time. What do y’all do the rest of the 5 hrs. Who told you 3 hrs? Was it the manager or the most experienced guy you where stocking with. I worked with a guy that literally told me we would get fired if we didn’t unload 11 hrs worth of stock in 8 hrs. We were done by lunch and the manager never even said anything about us getting fired. The guy I was working with just said that so he could zone and play on his phone the whole night
I used to work at 2 different walmarts and I quit for pretty much the same reasons you did and I did over night cleaning the managers didn't like my work despite the fact that I worked my ass off and so many annoying customers that I had to deal with walmart is one of the worst companies on earth to work for so much bullshit at that job
3 hrs? I had 10 hrs of freight in infants last night. Not every area has to be done in 3 hrs. It's overwhelming. But the fast ones are the pluggers that don't care if it's done right. Try infants it's terrible they never put men there and it's the hardest one. Your not complaining your telling the truth. Walmart sucks I never get help either, ivy grocery and front wall
after 2 weeks I quit as well, was a gm associate zoning as I worked at a pretty big Walmart supercenter cleaning up the messes that never ended. managers would have us left and right to different departments or I guess you could say "team leads" and have take photos of zoned isles so that they wouldn't be peacefully disturbed from lazing about with others. Man give these people tiny amounts of power and they think they own you.
Exactly!!! These “managers” feel so entitled, and think they can treat us like they are way better than us. I’m glad you left bro. That’s one of the reasons why I left too.
Im having the same experience, its really not that bad cause im not a bitch. Its an easy job. Its the ppl who cant do shit and have no skill whatsoever that complain about the task they was assigned with
Bro, I definitely understand where you're coming from. I'm a overnight stocker as well and when I say I'm going through HELL right now...I am. They want you to be done with pallets within 2 hours especially if they team you with a lazy ass person. At times, I had to work Hella hard just because of that person. My check $400 short this week!! Managers do talk alot of b.s. right in front of your face. I'm ready to take a week off and look for another position!!
@@smarksruinedwrestling5020 they will couch you which is showing you how to do stuff. If you get couched so many times they will fire you. And there are so many problems like finding items where it don't belong is called plugged so you have to unplug it and fix it all. Etc and Walmart is so rude
My first job was being an overnight stocker at Walmart. It wasn't too bad but I had to leave because I wasn't granted LOA for a surgery I was getting. I work at a different location now and it's soul crushing and I want to hang myself up like a pinata from the steel. I hate it and it's only my 3rd week. I'm ready to quit already. The bigger stores in highly populated areas are strict as hell. I miss the smaller store but they wouldn't take me back. I'm putting my 2 weeks in this week or next because I will off myself if I keep going.
Exactly how I feel, I have a interview for another job tomorrow if I don’t get this job I will break down & cry because I can’t tolerate Walmart anymore
I've been doing it for 4 months and I'm ready to leave it right in the middle of my shift ! They can kiss my ass . Treat us like slaves . So much freight for one person . Tired of my hands hurting .

I work at food & consumibles, they want me doing a lot of tasks in a short time. Happened a lot that I couldn't do faster and they coached me for 'productivity', sincerely as I've read apparently in almost all stores managers suck
They say three hours in an aisle but its actually the whole fucking night haha I got harassed to work faster but I didn’t give a single duck what they said and the whole night they just left me alone haha 😂

@@Sayre777 Omg yay! I was nervous for orientation too but, when I got there it wasn’t bad at all. The first day we just listened to her talk for the few hours we were there. Then went home, it’s my 3rd week and I’m enjoying it. It’s really laid back if you ask me. Good Luck! 💜
Beaware customers are going to give you hell. Especially the women. The men customers mostly thank you for helping them. It's the women consumers that are leaving meat and whole basket of food. You have to return it to the shelves and refrigerator. Sometimes 4 times a day. Taking about a hour. And they make you restock the returns. Mostly returns from the department you're assigned to.
Not to kill your excitement, but even if you are a night owl, being awake and working when your body knows it’s supposed to he asleep is taxing. You’ll be sleep during the day which means you can’t really do anything when people are functioning. Good luck to you
Bro I hate Walmart!!! I worked there. Alot of employees are spiteful. I was in maintenance so you know how it is. Some people get shifted around department to department and maintenance often gets looked at like we don't do shit. I got so tired of smartass people and quit lol. I walked off the job
I worked at a Walmart to over night stocker all night no sleep they expect you to finish everything quik so I broke there liquor section lol and got fired today
Been there for one day so far my first day there was no team leads we were understaffed and not only do we have our load to do we had the night before his load to do work was bearable but then I slept woke up at 6 o’clock and realized that this is not gonna work
Good for you to quit Walmart. I’m working at Walmart but during the day time. I use to work overnight for 3 years but I switched to day shift. Right now I’m being rushed and all my managers are rushing us but at the same time they are laughing amongst themselves in the backroom while we associates are sweating while we unload the truck. Plus I hurt my back lifting those big dog food.
Here is the thing in my experience if you work hard and let them take advantage of you there are perks to it sometimes the boss will let a point slide if your sick and don't have ppto you get to be over your own area and no boss is constantly asking you what your doing they trust you to do your job I like it
Bruh I’m in the same bout, I’m bout to quit too after two weeks as a overnight stocker. I got the job in novomber because I was out for college until January. I thought was just gone stack up on my breed but shidd this is not it
Really just another slave ship like Amazon unless you are a favorite kisser. I stayed 1 week, no tanning and expect you to know what to do . I just stopped going.
Sounds like you have shit managers. The whole 3 hour thing I have never heard of working at Walmart for 7 years. We judge when u should be done by looking at the truck time breakdown. If you have 17 hours of pets and a manager tells you it’s 3 they are full of shit. (3rd shift team lead )
Oh yes coworkers and managers do say this and that about you. I had managers and coworkers especially complain about me so much saying I despair in the fitting room saying I go back into my people leads Ginger office and talk to her while on the clock and that was so untrue they all lied including my managers they lied and said I am rude to customers and I am slow cleaning fitting rooms and helping customers etc! Yes I hate working at Walmart and I got fired from AP of accusing of stealing sweet teas and hair ties it was a mistake they wanted to get rid of me so I can leave Ginger alone! AP Erica is happy she fired me so now I have to payback damages to Walmart I am going to payback and I am getting a new job!
It isn’t worth it. A lot of people who get treated right are the ones who kiss ass but if you don’t kiss managements ass, then good luck. For me i quit cuz of management. Things got bad during COVID and was the only one working in deli and bakery for closing shift. Then in 2021 I was still doing the same. I would get in trouble for closing deli early that way I could go to lunch because there wasn’t anyone to cover for me and management would get angry at me and threaten to fire me. I had to close early cuz it takes for ever to take deli apart in order to wash all dishes and clean fryer and rotisserie machine and mop and put everything away and throw trash omg it was horrible and also do bakery as well. So no lunch breaks for me. I ended up reporting them to hr and that didn’t work. Before reporting it to hr, I did speak to management about it and man they didn’t do anything about it. So I quit. In 2020 they hired extras to help and my manager never wanted to hire extras to help me with deli and bakery. I ended up changing to work part time and man I was working 48hrs!!! 48hrs isn’t part time at all! I also would get in trouble if I would leave on the time that I’m scheduled for. On my days off they would ask me if I can come into work and I always said no cuz I never had lunch breaks and the next day management would yell at me for not coming into work to help out on my day off🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Walmart just haves such a bad reputation and some stores aren’t bad and abusive towards the workers but most of them all are very bad.
I quit mid shift I rather spend time with family then time with rude customer I only lasted a month I worked from 11am - 8pm that’s my whole day no work ever again will I waist time with family
Has an order filler myself you just need to understand, Walmarts a huge company and they have production standards. If you do not need the physical requirements or don’t have the mentality to handle a high pressure fast paste environment then Walmart is not the company for you. The company knows that everyone’s going to have a good days and bad days. Three weeks isn’t even giving it a chance I can’t even understand her some of you throw away something so simple. The one position they’re always hiring for is freight handler‘s or order fillers because they turn them over like pancakes because no one has worth ethic anymore.
I hated Wal-Mart at first it was okay but everyday too they never told me anything. I always felt like they didn't train me. One day too they kept moving me to cash register when I was a stocker. I was put with a really hateful older lady that said too she didn't get paid to train me so I'd have to pay attention. 😂😑 I quit after break. The main hiring manager was sweet the rest were wild rude and unprofessional. The manager I had was too busy doing her own thing to train people. I hates it. So unorganized.
Yes cos they are snitches
i been a month at walmart and i aint giving it up this pays so well compared to my previous job where i was getting paid shit 9$ compared to 15$ i will work my ass off and not complain
This comment is gold. There's a ton of shityy jobs but I promise Walmart is the best
I though minimum wage is 17$

😂 I worked at walmart for 2 years, get out while you can. Literally the shittiest company I've ever worked for
@@dn5578 my managers are cool
The hiring process is too complicated for a shitty job. Quit OGP 3 days in. Left me to my own devices on day 2 and I fucked up about 20 different orders because I never got trained properly. What I did: dropped all my walmart shit on the spot, set up direct deposit in the back, and clocked out mid shift
Walmart don't train you at all
I definitely get where you are coming from, this job is actually horrible.

Hey love, how do you feel about the maintenance position please give me detail…thank you in advance
Now I'm much happier in my current position than I was doing the overnight stock.
that’s awesome! they were able to accommodate you.
Fascinating story. .thanks for telling it
I worked in retail as a 4am stocker.
I get 14 50
Tamron Brown yeah I definitely feel you.
I just got hired ,today is my 3rd day yesterday was supposed to me my training and everyone was gone I went to ask for help by coworkers and no one helped me and said they didn’t know my trainer or leader I was so confused i went to find the manager and assistant manager and they were gone too, and I left I should’ve have but I had no idea what I was doing I pray today they teach and don’t leave me there alone
hows ur job now? u still work there?
What would happen if your team didn’t finish all the pallets? Are you forced to stay or did the morning crew finish for you?

How Much Did A Stocker Get Paid The Most A Check I’m starting 13hr
Same it varies from store to store
Does Walmart drug test for overnight stocker ?
No. Maybe if you’re a super visor but you’re typical employee isn’t drug tested.
The majority of people who complain about these type of jobs are the same people who don't mind losing their job because they live under mommy and daddy's roof

I’m a stock lead at a different company & they LITERALLY tell you or you should’ve asked ALL these questions during your interview.. Get over yourself… This job AINT for you; maybe find a call center or be a door greeter. Lol.
Think you gonna get paid $18.50 to just chill???
This was a 11.5min of a boy crying. 🤣😂🤦♂️
I know your old crew glad you gone. LOL
Next month video…
“Why I quit McDonald’s “
“They wanted me to flip a burger; it’s haaaard” 🤣🤦♂️🤡
The problem is that there is so much to the job and there things you won’t run into until you’re in the field. I’ve had to ask the supervisors questions that I wouldn’t have known to ask prior to encountering the issue. Let’s not pretend like there aren’t stupid things about certain jobs especially in an industry like retail.
You just be lazy man you need to tighten up and crunch on down man get you a job mine know what I mean dog
