I'm so glad that even though Tarsier won't be creating LN anymore they have left lots of background content in the hands of Bandai so the next developers will have solid ground to continue the story on.
This man has answers I need. I beat LN2 and it was just an incredible experience. A bit wonky gameplay-wise in a few spots, but the franchise so far is such an incredibly well-realized vision and universe; and most importantly unlike anything else out there (even though tonally it reminds me of movies like The City of Lost Children and Ghibli stuff which I really appreciate). I really hope they keep doing stuff like DLC and even that Netflix show they were supposedly working on, because the lore and style they've created is just amazing and extremely evocative. Great job, really. This is one of those games I'll just replay for the sake of taking on the journey again, much like the first one.
I wanted to say thank you guys for this interview. Thanks to you guys I read a few new books and learned more about these games. I gained some new perspective on Six, Mono and The Maw. My Thanks to Mervik and all the creatives at Tarsier.
For what it's worth, I had not beaten the game when we recorded this. I had only finished the second chapter. But we do talk about early spoilers, so if you haven't started playing, it would be good to hold off!
I feel partially responsible for the name change since I saw the initial teaser on a Gametrailers show, but when I tried to get more info on the game I literally could not find it. Doesn't help that the Hunger Games movies were in the middle of their run at that time.
Second time coming to this interview, very awesome interview. Wasn’t cringey in any kind of way, sad we won’t get anything out of Tarsier Studios for LN3…seeing the trailer I can tell is not going to be the same as LN1 or LN2, I hope supermassive doesn’t ruin this world for us.
I would love to see this studio do something similar with the art direction and sound, but not quite as linear of an experience. I'm really enjoying LN2, I just want something that has just a bit more replay value. That said, I did revisit the first game a few times since its release. Cant wait to see what they do next!
This does have replay value. Id like to know what kind do you mean cause i always see ppl saying this. Its not super replay value but there is mysteries and secrets you may not get the first time, thats the good thing of a game without dialouge.
@@humbleservant7797 Yeah ofcourse theres the hidden rooms and collectables that can easily be missed on a first playthrough, hence why I said I'd like to see just a bit more replay value thrown in. Something like branching paths to take you to some different areas ( even if they're brief deviations ) could help a lot. I love the LN games for the art direction and simple gameplay, it's just that missing a few collectibles on a first playthrough isnt enough incentive for me to immediately want to play through it again.
@@derekhart410 not only collectibles, the story itself. As you know from the first LN you gotta look at EVERYTHING. Pictures, paintings, words on the wall, whispers, aesthetics even hold meaning in this game. But i get your point, i guess they coulda had multiple endings.
Is the twist that big ? I havent played it yet but i had it downloaded since release. Im so intrigued in this world im tryna get all the info on the first game i recently beat. But i think i need to jus play LN2 for these answers.
@@humbleservant7797 Oh sorry. I Should have put a spoiler warning but what I just said isn't really fact. It's a theory that I don't really agree with.
@@godofgamers3884 its fine, even if it was the truth you gave no details so i wouldnt know how it happened which i find most important. But sounds like im in for a surprise.

I need to sit this man down and ask him one or two million questions

I haven’t yet met a person who cares more about the details of this game then me. A job working on Little nightmares III would be a dream.
Just finished LN2 this weekend. What a creepy, fun experience. Nice job on the interview Kyle!
How long did it take to beat ?
@@humbleservant7797 I would guess around 6-7 hours or so.
@@Silentknight1171 good news to hear. Ima start tonight, does it give further insight into the maw as well ?
@@humbleservant7797 kind of, but it's very different
@@alexrant_ i beat it, it is very different. Thinking of doing a second run through, i wanted to wait for DLC before doing so.

I dont have high hopes, mainly because six and mono are some amazing characters, but it could be a good game
This interview was great! Absolutely in love with the little nightmares franchise and this interview had so much insight! You did such a great job!

How did I miss this.
Great interview, I hope to see more content like this from Kyle.
Ok, they need to release like, an actual timeline with lore, that would be amazing.
Great questions Kyle, good interview.
Great interview!
Only he knows all...and in my mind that makes him a god 🤣
Nice
Be real with me. Is little nightmares a time loop or nah. As of right now, I don't think it is but everyone seems to think otherwise. I'm not sure.
