Timely as I'm thinking of heading in the same direction. Thanks.

U could also add the remote in turn on/off on the dc to dc match ignition/accessories key/switch. This will help any issues while start not charged and dc to dc is pulling current

Hello Peter, will you be adding this years cruises to your playlist?

I stopped doing cruise videos because they seemed to be getting quite repetitive (and maybe because I got lazy). Having taken a good long break, I may make a video of one or more my cruises next season. --Peter

@ ok, thanks Peter. Your videos are of great interest to me. I live I and sail in San Diego where I sail either in SD Bay or the ocean. I grew up back there and sailed dinghy’s on little Peconic Bay and

a bit out of South Dartmouth on Buzzards Bay. I sail larger boats now, mostly Catalina 22’s. Your videos have me keen on doing some sailing in New England because to me the cruising grounds are better, more protected areas if desired and more interesting. Thanks for making all your content.

Peter you’re looking good. Number one fan. But isn’t there an issue with lithium ion batteries exploding?

Lithium-ion is not the same as lithium-iron-phosphate. There are multiple battery formulations that make use of lithium. Some are prone to 'run-away', which can result in overheating and fires (I'm not sure about explosions). But the lithium iron phosphate batteries I put on Silverheels will not behave this way, and are widely considered to be pretty safe. You could look it up on the internet :^)
