- [4k] Birdworld Full Virtual Tour, join us for a captivating walkthrough of Birdworld one of the UK's first and finest bird parks spanning over 26 acres of sanctuary to a diverse array of over 180 species of birds from around the world.
Birdworld is located in the East Hampshire district, close to the village of Bucks Horn Oak and the surrounding Alice Holt Forest, and initially opened its doors to the public in 1968 as a family-run business led by Roy Harvey, his wife, and children. Over the next 28 years, the park underwent steady expansion and growth, culminating in the addition of the Jenny Wren Farm in 1990.
In the early 1990s, the next generation of the family took over the park's day-to-day operations. However, in 1996, they decided to pursue different ventures, leading to a change in ownership. Denys E. Head Ltd, a neighboring business, acquired Birdworld, making it the third division of their company alongside Forest Lodge Garden Centre and Garden Style.
Under the new ownership, Birdworld continued its development, introducing exciting attractions that became beloved by regular visitors. Notable additions included the enchanting Terry Pratchett Owl Parliament, the captivating Silent Forest aviaries, the delightful Penguin Beach, and the intriguing Outback Landing. These new features enhanced the park's appeal and further cemented its status as a favorite destination for bird enthusiasts and families alike.
In January 2020, Birdworld, along with Forest Lodge and Garden Style, became part of the Haskins group through acquisition. Haskins expressed a strong commitment to preserving and building upon the original vision set forth by the Harvey family in the 1960s. Embracing their responsibility for the park's legacy, Haskins has ambitious plans to further expand Birdworld, enhancing its offerings and facilities. Moreover, they are dedicated to advancing the essential conservation efforts that have been a cornerstone of Birdworld's mission, ensuring the protection and well-being of avian species for generations to come.
Birdworld used to be home to the Underwater World which sadly closed due to the financial impact of the pandemic. All 1700 aquatic animals at Birdworld were safely rehomed at Sea Life Centers across the UK as well as St Andrews Aquarium in Scotland, Marwell Zoo in Winchester, Crocodiles of the World in Oxfordshire and Tropiquaria in Somerset.
Birdworld has links with some famous celebrities. Penguin Island, home to Birdworld’s colony of Humboldt Penguins was officially opened to the public in 1982 by Animal Magic legend Johnny Morris and in May 2017, the Terry Pratchett Owl Parliament opened paying tribute to one of the world’s most charismatic authors and creator of the Discworld universe.

Very helpful video! Me and the girlfriend are thinking about visiting, but it's quite far away for us so this was very helpful in getting an idea of what the place is like before we make the trip. I was under the impression that the walk-through enclosure also contained flamingos, but now I know they're outside in a pen separated from the visitors.

I went to Birdworld and I love birds
It is a wonderful place to walkthrough, been going here since I was a young, we now take our kids and they love it

We got there very early before the crowds start coming in. It is a beautiful place to walk around
So out dated to visit an establishment that clips birds wings so they can't fly and invites children too view this, very bizarre parental values only sociopaths would think this is a great day out for the kids so pleased chris packham has highlighted this on this morning talk show. Save your money and go to a play park without being surrounded by sad misery
The children learn from the educational talks that the place provides, with regard to highlighting negative aspects of any attraction, that would be for another video, this is a walkthrough to show the areas and location of exhibits. We do not provide an opinion of the park in these videos, we show the park so that people can form their own opinions. We welcome all points of view both positive and negative. We will bring your points up with the attraction on our next visit
Why is boy not even looking at birds
We walk around this park several times to determine the best route, we are also season ticket holders so have visited many many times. I can assure we looked closely at all the birds, did every talk, spoke to staff about the birds. This is a walkthrough of the area to see the layout and areas not a video with a close up of each exhibit.
@@PlanItPark do you ask why the birds are in cages to begin with? Or how they disable the birds by clipping there wings?

If u want chase after the ungrateful lad we can see birds better at slow pace
The lad is certainly not ungrateful, this is a small part of a day out. He attends the talks and speaks to staff learning about the animals. That is why we take the kids to these places
At no point watching this video does the boy look ungrateful 😂 have touched it? He does look at the birds. Have you watched any of their other videos? It's the same style in every video. I think he is sweet.
