Ah Watto this is such a beautiful place and with interesting history too, we all loved Brixham ( The mother of trawling ? that's interesting to know ) when we visited a few years back. Thank you MSK for your great comments. Some of the boats are recreational & some fishing boats. We could just sit by the harbour all day watching the world go by. The majority of the coloured houses are residential & a few rentals for holidaying in. We did have fish & chips they were beautiful. Have a fantastic weekend 👍🏻🚶♂️🚶♀️

May well sound daft this but I thought Brixam was in London, so a nice surprise when I started watching lol. Loved the coloured houses on the sea front, reminded me a lot of Staithes. I remember taking my grandson on the Golden Hind down in London, so that must be the other replica. I knew quite a bit about William of Orange but did not know he landed at Brixham and what a perfect view to have a coffee. Sad tale of the Brixham Angel, hard days back then and given you were there in September that weather looked canny. Well I did see a sign saying it's Gin o clock so I suppose it had to be done, cheers Alan

Love Brixham and love this Vlog. During our holidays we travel the U.K. via Motorhome and we love the freedom that van-life brings. Each year we make the pilgrimage from the Midlands to Brixham to visit my wife's 93yr old Grandmother who still lives independently in the town. You must have walked past her cottage at some point. She'd have called you in for a cuppa ! Can't wait to return again next month. Dave and Soph xx

I'd never heard of Brixham, it looks lovely, a really wonderful coastal town. Very poignant too seeing that slipway and knowing that it was a setting off point for D-day.

Hi Paul & Kim - great to see Brixham again. I find the best way is to park for free around Churston and then catch the bus in - bus every 10 mins! Great video! Oh, yes, steps! Brixham, Kingswear and Dartmouth are all full of them! The walk along the breakwater just has to be done, doesn't it? Super stuff guys! Cheers, Paul

Ah now, Brixham holds great childhood memories for me: As a young boy my parents bought me a Secret Seven book by Enid Blyton and I loved it! Spent all my summers there in the late 80s/ 90s when I use to spend the summer with my grandparents . I can recognise so many spots seems to be a lot less arcades 😂. Great video

In Australia around the capital cities now its so hard to find free parking! so annoying it actually deters me from going to some places because I don't want to be paying all the time. the mulit coloured houses are given me a bit of an Italian vibe. Also random question, are the charity shops (saw one on the clip) expensive there? Here some of our charity shops are not cheap anymore, literally charge $50 for shoes or a dress!!
Hey thanks for watching. I agree parking charges are extortionate and in summer season in these seaside towns they put the prices up even higher. Yes we do love all the pastel houses. Charity shops. Tend to be a good source for cheap clothes still and as of yet haven’t seen huge price increases. Always worth having a rummage for a bargain.
I found it to be scruffy untidy and in need of a bit of TLC,dogs everywhere,people smoking everywhere,car parking exspensive ,I found it a bit of shithole.
Most places are sometimes busy, I agree about dogs. people seem obsessed with taking their dogs everywhere these days. Brixham itself is still a very nice place to visit. i prefer it off season. Thanks for watching.

Ah now, Brixham holds great childhood memories for me: As a young boy my parents bought me a Secret Seven book by Enid Blyton and I loved it! Spent all my summers there in the late 80s/ 90s when I use to spend the summer with my grandparents . I can recognise so many spots seems to be a lot less arcades 😂. Great video

In Australia around the capital cities now its so hard to find free parking! so annoying it actually deters me from going to some places because I don't want to be paying all the time. the mulit coloured houses are given me a bit of an Italian vibe. Also random question, are the charity shops (saw one on the clip) expensive there? Here some of our charity shops are not cheap anymore, literally charge $50 for shoes or a dress!!
Hey thanks for watching. I agree parking charges are extortionate and in summer season in these seaside towns they put the prices up even higher. Yes we do love all the pastel houses.
Charity shops. Tend to be a good source for cheap clothes still and as of yet haven’t seen huge price increases. Always worth having a rummage for a bargain.
I found it to be scruffy untidy and in need of a bit of TLC,dogs everywhere,people smoking everywhere,car parking exspensive ,I found it a bit of shithole.
Most places are sometimes busy, I agree about dogs. people seem obsessed with taking their dogs everywhere these days. Brixham itself is still a very nice place to visit. i prefer it off season. Thanks for watching.
