Hi Tim and family, I hope all is well, me and the wife have been to whitby and were great! especially the Mag pie cafe delicious! I'm so glad we watched you to enspire us for our holiday. Thank you 😊 Barrie & Angie X
My mum comes from Whitby. The “seats” you refer to on the 199 steps were actually used to rest the coffins on many years ago on their final Journey up to St Mary’s . My great grandad used to be one of the regular bearers . Great video thank you
Love, love, love Whitby. So quaint and so much to see. The views are fabulous. We try to get there everytime we come to the UK. Your video was lovely...almost as good as being there.
Great video Tim, beautifully done, thank you. Whitby is just lovely and visited there numerous times over the years. Love the narrow cobbled streets and quaint shops, just adds to the ambience of such a historic seaside town.
Ooh you call that busy? I’m here in Whitby right now and it is rammed!! I’m expecting this every year when I come to Whitby because next week is goth weekend! And people start to arrive early! Also trenchers fish and chips is my absolute favourite of the many fish and chip shops there! Can’t wait to watch the rest of this video!
We timed our visit from Australia for the second week of May last year. Only one day out of three was packed in town, so we took off for the museum until the crowds died down a bit. What a historically and geologically fascinating area it is. We'll be back next year - slightly out of season again hopefully 💜💚
Bram Stoker the author of Dracula stayed on holiday back in 1890 a number 6 Royal Crescent, which now as a blue plaque and Whitby is a Goth town. East and North Yorkshire have some of the best coastal view and I love walking around them. Thank You for another great Video Tim.

Amazing. I love Whitby. I've been there a few times(well 4-5 )times actually). Harry Colletts walking tours and ghost walks are amazing but he maybe retired now.
