Hey Watto & Kim, yes! nice to see around the seaside town of Paignton, ooo a good ole fashioned amusement arcade. I loved that water pirate game, was so much fun haha, looks like theres lots to do and loving her swearing at darth vader haha. Oh yes, a cheeky bit of crazy golf, some great shots there Watto, love it. 30p for a wee...blimey! I really love the painted houses surrounding the harbour, so iconic and pretty. This was another fantastic video, really showing off Devon in all it's glory, thank you both! Excellent video 📽📽💗💗

I became a resident here in Sept.23 quite a change from the rural Welsh valley . The first thing I noticed was the doubling or more of my monthly expenses. Paignton, somewhere we’ve never been, although funnily enough, we were watching something the other day about a Christmas light train, somewhere near there. It looks really nice, despite the September weather. Dinosaur golf, excellent! 30p to pee…shocking! Someone near us has an Elvis statue similar to that in their front garden, every time we walk past, we have to say, “uh huh huh” in an Elvis type stylie 😂. The harbour looks pretty. Watch out for that edge Kim. That lunch looks great, totally our thing. I know what you mean about the lack of upkeep to some of the buildings, it wouldn’t take a lot. Loving the tat shops! Gutted you missed Kim climbing that web 😂. Good on you both for playing on the park, we would do that too. Really enjoyed that, hope all is well 🍻

Paignton's hidden secret is the Dick Francis Room at the Redcliffe Hotel. It is the central room in the central building in the centre of Paignton in the centre of Torbay. It faces due east and is perfect for greeting the dawn over a cup of coffee. It is a large, Agatha Christie-esque upstairs reception room with a bay window with panoramic views around the bay. It is under used and you can often get it to yourself. However, if you want to enjoy it, move fast, because they are redeveloping it next year.
Why the "Dick Francis" suite? Because the writer and his wife spent their honeymoon there in the 1950s and came back every year for decades.

The best thing about Paignton is the Zoo and the beach at Goodrington.
I dont really do Zoos TBH but Paignton is a good one. Or at least it was last time I visited. Goodrington is a good beach but full of Dogs these days. Personally I really like the front but in all honesty I find the town a sad place and run down.
My wife is from Dartmouth and we were going there last year on the steam train. A real difference in town.
I totally agree Phil. Once you head in to the town it is a different story. The reset part is ok but there is deffo lots of er undisirables in the town.

Ahhh, you missed fairy cove (it's a bit further around from the harbour - only a small little beach but looks lovely).
It's odd seeing it just a month after I visited and how different it looks when the schools are back (no fair or circus on the green and to see the geopark so empty - I would have been so tempted to have a play on some of the equipment like you did but it was full of people when I visited.
And love the dinosaur crazy golf!

Hey Watto and Kim, nice to see your review and tour of Paignton. It is so different to its neighbours of Brixham and Torquay (personally I prefer those, but then I don't have a youngster in tow any longer).
