Cornwall is beautiful I'm 70 this year and my parents used to take us every year as children ❤ This area is one of my favourites especially Combe Martin, Lynton and Lynmouth, Valley of the rocks, Hele bay, Ruda, Crantock I could go on! I'm pleased you are discovering how beautiful it is! I've been visiting for years 😊
11:28 That coast is Devonian Sandstone, age of the armoured fish and first amphibians. About 400 million years ago when the UK was south of the Equator.
I live in Devon, just on the boarder of Cornwall and I’m always out and about in my van so I thought I’d know all the places you visited but a lot I’ve never been too! I stayed in the pub in Clovelly which was amazing. I’ve also stayed at Camelot Castle in Tintagel. The castle there is a must, the views and beach are breathtaking and such a good walk if you have dogs. I’ve got some good ideas from this for my Devon and Cornwall staycation in August. Just waiting on getting my van fixed. It gave up just after I drove the NC500, I found your book so helpful 👍🏻 Don’t let the issues you mentioned stop your dream of being a surfer. You can do it 👍🏻😂 Perranporth is my absolute favourite beach. The Watering Hole is the only beach bar in the Uk I think, they have some great live music there ❤ I will definitely be buying your book. I bought your NC500 book and planned my entire 18 night itinerary from it, it was so so helpful 👍🏻
Haha thank you you’re very lucky to live in such a wonderful place! I’m glad you found my NC500 book helpful, hopefully you’ll agree the South West book is even better 😀
Glad you like St Agnes we live just outside the village a lovely part of the world. Moved down here a good few years ago. The mist comes in a lot on the North coast but on a clear summers day it’s a magical walk along the coast with the dog up by wheal coates and great in the winter as well 👍 get a jam doughnut and small sausage roll ( they are in fact huge ! ) from the bakery in St Agnes by the Hotel bar just on the bend. They are great and the doughnuts legend has it have more jam than any other 😂👍
Hi Robbie - my query is actually about the NC500 book and not Devon and Cornwall! Ive read the book cover to cover and are planning our NC500 9 day tour for the very end of Sept - Ive taken note of the campsites you list in your book but can you recall if they have WASHING MACHINE facilities !!!! You see, Im planning, planning and planning!!!!!
It is so great to see all these places again, and you present them so well. Your footage and edit is fantastic. I have walked the coastal path from Westward Ho! and all the way around the westernmost tip at Land's End and further on all the way further to Charlestown, during 5 summer holidays (travelling from Norway). Our aim is to walk the whole path but that will take some more years 😁 These places are dear to me. Thank you for sharing 😊
@@robbieroams welcome to Norway. But if you are visiting the West Coast, be prepared for more than the double amount of rain as in Cornwall 😁🤪🌧☔️ But we also may experience lovely weather and good temperatures. We just don't know when 😊
Great video. Absolutely stunning scenery! Subscribed. What time of year was this filmed? Wife and I are coming to England in early October, your stuff has been very helpful!
I'm going east Devon torquay on half term school holidays with my daughter with a coach company's go torquay Bournemouth and Newquay Cornwall St ives il try find this one in another different company
We have just bought one of your books and are very impressed. Thanks for the info, I’m sure we will find it all very useful. 👍🏻 so now checking out your YT vlogs too.
@@robbieroams we have rented a camping pitch just outside of Woolacombe, so think pretty central to reach North Devon, North Somerset and North Cornwall.
Never been to England I'm from Virginia in the U.S I was always curious if England was like the States. England looks beautiful. Would love to visit England one day #goals
I don't drive I'm going on a Caledonian travel from Yorkshire too torquay and Dartmouth it's a 4days trip il do Cornwall in summer holidays ww do weekend breaks or half term holidays think we going east Devon.
We're planning on visiting the Devon/Cornwall area at the end of June for 5-6 days with our 3 year old. We plan on renting a car (we're visiting from the US before hopping on a cruise). I watched several of your videos, so forgive me if I missed this, but do you (or anyone else in the know) have a suggestion for a pleasant, centrally located place to stay? Our goal is to find a base in a pleasant and scenic area that has a few decent family friendly restaurants for the evenings. We figure we'll just day trip out and back to the places we want to visit (nothing specific yet but to include parks, hikes, beaches, etc...). My planning is in the fledgling phase so I'm very open to suggestions.
That’s a good idea - I’d probably do 3 days in Newquay (you can visit most of Cornwall from here) then 2/3 days in somewhere like Torquay where you can access most of South Devon :)
`great channel, fine upload. Paying to get into Clovelly, St Nectans Glen and Tintagel are a total RIP-OFF ..... these places are our birthright. I live in Cornwall ..... completely sick of the huge exploitation. Thanks for a top clip though.
Jam first. Tip. Get locals to tell you how to pronounce places. Getting it wrong grates with locals. It isn't as easy some would think. I live mis Cornwall but work throughout the county and know to benefit of getting the places right. Your next Cornwall tour should be the hunt for the best pasty. That's a big deal and I suspect there could be some good pasty tours.
One and only GOD’S miracle. His natural creation The BEST no man made comes anywhere near . Thanks bro love the video probably only place left untouched by evil people . Hope it stays the same and guided by GOD . 👍👍👍👍👍 . 5/5 🌹❤💙🌹 Right GOD willing coming soon .

Yeah, Valley of the Rocks is great. I scrambled to the top of the rock outcrop in your video. Long way down to the sea.
Oh wow! My vertigo would have been kicking off up there 😂
