Window Tint
If you just purchased a new vehicle, window tinting is a cheap alternative to make your truck look more aggressive and clean. You can find a full tint job for around $200. Depending on which state you live in you’ll likely have different laws for window tinting. Most people will be able to get away with 20% tint on the front and back windows of your truck. Window tint can help protect the interior of your car from cracking or drying out while also making driving in the sun easier if you spend a lot of time on the road.
Suspension Upgrades
Suspension is one of the mods required if you want to run larger than factory oem wheel and tire sizes. Overall, we recommend looking for something that will not only perform well but gives you the look you're after. Wheels and Tires
Packaging wheels and tires is easier than purchasing them separately, but making sure they fit on your new truck is a separate issue. @@bob3913 it's a lot of money to owe. A lot of people aren't comfortable with that even if they can afford it. My mom could have gotten a much nicer vehicle, but wasnt comfortable with paying over a certain amount for a car note to her it isn't worth it.
Cant forget they offer "financing" yet not everyone gets approved... My case i got lots of time on job yet credit says N/A, no credit being 23 trying to build credit is a bitch when nowhere will give you the hand to start your credit.....🤣

Quick thing about aftermarket tinting: If your window gets broken after you've had it tinted, and you decide to handle it under your insurance, just let the claims rep know it was tinted, and, depending on your coverage, you'll at least be partially reimbursed to have that tinting redone.
Cold air Intake. Exhaust system. tune. New plugs. That's what I got for mine.

As a mechanic and since I just bought a new (gas) truck, this is the list i'd go with-
1. Exhaust ( I like my trucks loud)
2. Forced induction on n/a gas, tunes along with supporting mods (head studs, delete etc) on diesel
3. LED headlights
4. Leveling kit with 33s
5. Heavy duty front, and rear bumpers (either buy some high quality ones or build my own)
5 B. A medium sized light bar if it fits in a well protected area on stock front bumper (if not, heavy duty front/ rear bumpers with light bars will be the solution) as well as a small light bar on the rear wired into the reverse lights
As a general rule, I prefer performance and or functionality over looks any day, because it doesn't matter how cool your vehicle looks at the track, it's the time that counts. Just my 2 cents anyway.

You can see fine with windshield tint at night. Windshield tint actually helps me at night due to people not knowing how to turn their high beams off.

Agreed. My entire windshield has been done with 50% for over a year now and I'm tempted to go even darker because I love it so much.

I can see just fine going forward with tint, but when it comes to backing up at night tint makes it difficult, but I simply roll my windows down to see my mirrors better and I can see just fine.

Thanks for featuring me in part of your video! A few things to address about the window tint:
-Most states do not allow tint on the entirety of the windshield, however most do allow a sunstrip at the top as far down as the AS1 line and some do allow full windshield tint with a “doctors note” (this does not mean as dark as you want, in most cases 50% is the limit)
-adding tint to your windshield does not use much more material than your rear window( besides trucks ). The increased cost most installers charge has a lot to do with the uncommon request for the whole windshield. It also increases the odds of a customer complaining about dirt/dust/small creases as they will be constantly looking through that window and notice a lot more imperfections as a result, which is enough for some installers to turn down the job or charge extra.
-tint will help with heat reduction, but mostly depends on the type of film you use. Ceramic film can deflect up to 70% of heat while non ceramic film will be much less than that. Even 50% ceramic film (which was what I installed in that clip) will block more than 2x the heat of 5% non ceramic. They even offer 70% and 80% ceramic film specifically for windshields, since that is the largest window on your vehicle it is the most common source of heat transfer into your vehicle. So you don’t have to go dark on your windshield to reject heat, meaning driving at night should not be much of an issue.

I think pretty much everyone that has regeared a vehicle before will agree with me here. Regearing is the best bang for your buck performance upgrade. And it makes for a great time to have lockers or a LSD installed. But wait there's more. It also helps your transmission by taking some stress off it. 4L60e owners will appreciate that 😜😂

The European window tint (metalized for heat reflection) is the best. I have had mine on my car since 2005. It is just now starting to separate from the glass. It was well worth the extra expense.

If your budget is $3,000 over all I got a surprise for you.. your gonna spend another $700-$1,000 for suspension install.
I spent $4,200 for 5 20x12 - 51 and 35's and a 6" Zone lift + labor.
Wheels and tires were $2400, Zone 6" is originally like $1500, but the shop bought the lift kit so they get it cheaper. So they charged me less for the labor.

Aidan Chavez it’s possible if you buy used wheels
I lifted my 96 Explorer and put bigger tires on it for $580, plus $89 for an alignment afterwards. Granted, it was only a 2 inch lift, which for an Explorer means cranking the torsion bolts and putting longer shackles in the rear, and I just bought some used 31/10.5r15 Falken Wildpeaks to put on the stock wheels. But it's entirely possible to do this kind of thing cheaply, it just depends vastly on what you're starting with and just how far you want to go with it.
Love the tint promotion. I own HD Window Tint LLC and I would also recommend investing into paint protection (for the brand new vehicles). We do door cups and edge guards on every new vehicle as a vendor at both our Ford and Toyota dealership. It’s a great affordable way to protect your paint.

Ram makes a 2500 called the power wagon and it can fit 35's no problem stock.
I have 35x12.5x20 on my stock 02 1500
1. Bed liner to keep your stuff from beating up your bed.
2. Bed cover to keep people who need money to mod their trucks from stealing your stuff.
3. floor mats to keep your floors clean.
4. Maybe mud flaps, but probably not.
5. An OBD port scanner so you know what codes your new truck is throwing when the check engine light comes on.
That's it. Nothing else needed. Now go use your truck for what a truck is made for. Work.
I just got a 2019 Tacoma SR5 with only 16,000 miles. It already has a leveling kit and 33 inch K2 off-road tires. It also has a custom red skid plate as well. Usually a 40k plus truck and I got it for 30k out the door. Now I just need a new exhaust to get that loud factor.
1) Armor (Bumpers and skid plates)
2) Recovery system (Winch)
3) Communications (CB radio or ham radio)
4) Axles (Gearing, lockers, chromoly axle shafts)
5) Steering (HD steering setup)
Now you are ready for suspension and wheels/tires.

So far on my 2013 Silverado crew cab I’ve done tint, lift ( 4in fabtech lift but it’s really a big leveling kit wanna go to a 6 in coil over later on), 22x12s on 33s but ima go up to 35s with the bigger lift, and Carven r exhaust with 3 inch piping, thinking of either audio system or tune next or towing mirrors

2016 F250 reg cab, I’ve been looking to do a late 60’s to mid 70’s look. I found steal wheels but having a problem with finding tires to fit that style of wheel. Definitely want something taller than 33”. But definitely not going with the mall crawler look like everybody else.
I have 50% on my windshield 20% in my front two and 10% in my rear on my tundra and I like it. It’s dark and hard to see when backing up but driving is fine out my truck
Step 1: Make sure your plan doesn't result in your truck turnng into a bro truck
Step 2: Realize it does, and then put bigger tires and a leveling kit on it and call it a day
suspension and tires sometimes have to go together. you cant put 40's on a stock suspension, and if you lift for 40's and run around on stock tires your gonna be looking funny.
I would go with 1.Suspension 2. Bigger gripper Tires/rims 3. Bed liner spray 4. Protection paint 5. The bottom of ur truck sprayed with protection spray so rocks and stuff don’t destroy it

2012 f150 xlt:What I did was replace my headlights with raptor style the previous owner put some cheap ebay aftermarket headlights that looked like shit. I then found a guy on Craigslist who was selling his 18 inch wheels from an fx4 the silver with grey inserts and put those on with the tires from his truck then I put my old tires back on with the Craigslist wheels. I then replaced the headlights and taillights because they were aftermarket and started to deteriorate so I went on eBay and a Ford dealer who was selling oem raptor headlights for cheap. I also did a full led conversion and installed remote start. I plan on getting bf Goodrich ko2 when the tires I have now start to dry rot because I don't drive enough to fully wear them out. When I get new tires I plan on installing a leveling spacer in the front so I can get the new tires and alignment all in one. The last thing I will do is probably make the bumpers and the grill body color or something and replace the bed cover and get low profile running boards because I took the ugly chrome ones off and I am running none at the moment.

In Cali, you can have any tint on the two front windows, but ur back and rear windows can be limo (jet black) tint..

Why is re gearing so overlooked? People really think they can get away with running a 35 inch tire with stock gearing (usually around 3.40 in the Chevy 1500’s) and then wonder why their trucks suck down fuel and wonder why their transmission has to be rebuilt every 20k as well as the strain on the drivetrain and lack of acceleration or any performance at all. To me, gearing is the easiest way to gain torque and bring out the true potential of your ride. My k5 blazer had stock 2.73 gearing from the factory and I bought the truck with 31’s on it and I wondered why it was such a slow miserable pile of shit, well I changed the gearing to 4.10 with 31’s still and yes, at 70mph I’m at around 2100rpm which is high for an old 350tbi but I can also tow anything I need to and I can lay posi burnouts on dry pavement with mud tires. RE GEAR YOUR TRUCKS GUYS it seriously does wonders. If you’re gonna spend 5k on a lift kit wheels and tires, spend the extra thousand or so to do it up right.
I run 33's on 3.69 -3.77 Gearing i only need to Regear if i get 35's i am in the middle no loss of performance at all Also i am using a 6 speed manual
I ran 35/12.5x17 with 3.55s on my leveled 2011 ram 1500 for over 75k miles and no issues went with a 22x14 with a 33/12.5 for another 40k still not a single issue not even a u joint problem the 35s wore out my ball joints more than the 14 wides did

95%of people don't care about gearing or transmission problems or stress on the drivetrain...its all about cosmetics.....here in vegas....98% of trucks dont see a bit of dirt except the dust on the hood of the engine......and there are the few that dont have all the lifts and cosmetic shit and go out and do amazing thing with there trucks/jeeps in the dirt.......
Easy way to check the gearing? Bought my truck with tires/wheels/lift already done. Not sure if that is something that also did

Front windshield tint can be legal, it requires a document from your doctor. I had 50% and nighttime driving was fine.
I have my documents, several copies actually. 9 times out of 10 the cop that pulls me over will not return it and call a buddy to come stop me again. Few lawsuits later and my truck hasn't been pulled over in over 5 years. Cops laid for my entire truck lmfao.
Regear over a tune, considering that most people can spend 5or6k on a lift and wheels/tires another 1-2k wont hurt
Need some advice..... just bought a 2019 limited 4Runner 4x4 nightshade edition. I didn’t like the narrow wheels/Tires which looks “sucked-in” but wanna keep it somewhat stock. I added SpiderTrax 1.25 Spacers which made it look better but slight rubbing when cranked L/R all the way.
Bought some BFG AT/KO2 - 275/55R20 which I wanna install on factory wheels (20x7) and ReadyLift 3/2 leveling kit. If I install, what problems will I run into?

@@caseG80 3M tint or LEXEN 2 Ply Premium Carbon Window Tint Film. Those 2 are the best to actually keep truck cool. I go dirt bike riding trucking sitting in heat. Got 3M tint got in truck felt like it was sitting in garage

My tint is purple as it gets lmao. Eh I kinda like it, my back passenger windows are very dark and the rear window is dark enough. Sucks at night but, really nice.

Weather tech floor mats
Rain guards
All led lights
40 series flowmaster black tip dual exhaust
K and n cool air intake
3 inch rough country suspension lift kit
33 inch bfg all terrain tires
Personally I'd regear during the lift kit process. Gotta pull the front chunk anyways and the rear end wont be shit to get out, may as well

Immediately did 5% tint on my truck, made a night and day difference in how much cleaner it looked. I'm also really surprised you listed audio as one of the first, yet you left off bed liners (spray on). Any real truck owner (the ones who actually use the beds of their trucks) has to have a bed liner put in almost first thing.

I use my truck for hauling wood, rock, dirt, fishing and hunting gear, tools, animals, a four wheeler and other miscellaneous stuff. Guess I’m not a real truck owner

2. Tint front to match rear windows (also sucks at night, but looks awesome!).

the first two mod after buying a used truck especially at an auction is go down to the DMV and get a new set of license plate digits then re-paint the vehicle
Legal tint here in Dallas is 35 and the back windows are no restrictions

Duramax: lift pump, tint, transmission and pump rub kit, traction bars, fuel rail plug, emissions delete, wheels, tune (have to tune for rims, tires and mods unless you want to tune it twice).

Bought my 94 ram 1500 with stock suspension on 2001 dodge 17x8 +24 alloy wheels with 35’s and it rubbed on control arms at full lock, but that’s because of the wheels, not suspension.
