What modifications have you guys made that didn’t break the bank?
Custom TrailBoss decals!
@Derecks Garage i did the same
rubber mats for the interior cup holders
@@thomasagurkis4026 that’s a great one
Halo Halo Hikers i just got a set for my Colorado for 18 bucks... can’t beat it totally changes interior look with the red accent
So were just going to ignore how big this dudes calves are.
They massive though
@Devil Doc G I see two of them on this guys legs
Somebody didn't skip leg day
those aren't calves, those are full blown cows
I came for the truck mods, but stayed to know what his calf work out is.
Lol, instantly liked for the "without the wife noticing" comment.
hell yeah. same. even when it's over a hundy, it was "idk babe, like 95 dollars? super cheap. babe, you look gorgeous today, have I told you that yet?"
Hell ya we all have to sneak in shit from time to time
Lol, yea. I feel guilty looking at some of these things. Fog lights, tonneau cover(cheap one not $100 cheap though) and even vinyl for my bowties or doing the front glass in tint.
I’m gonna proceed to do 4 coats ... * DRENCHES THE EMBLEM IN 1 coat * lol
I actually removed the one I filmed and re did it, practice makes perfect 🙌🏼
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂this comment made my day
I thought the same thing. Run city on the first coat.lol
That's the only reason first attempt didn't work. I was talking to my phone begging him to stop spraying that much LOL
Your spray painting skills have my OCD kicking in hard af!!!
Heaviest first coat i ever seen in my life
@@buffalobmf rumor is its still not dry lol
Wtf bruh who taught you how to spray paint 😂😂😂 my guy spent at least a full bottle on that single emblem 🥱
Good choices of less than $100 mods! Keep it coming!
Rolando Nispiros glad you found it useful!
Iconic with the “pretty easy install”
Bruh everything here is simple installation
I think the rear fender liner is a great recommendation. Thank you.
Glad you found it useful!
I laughed at the radio antena, "it's gonna look better, it's gonna function better. But it is going to make your signal weaker"... come on son
Good video only thing I would suggest is the tint. When we overland in the summer cab can get hot real fast! I would of saved my $85-100 and spent more when and got Ceramic tint.
If your just looking for looks the go with he did
one benefit for the factory antenna is if it doesn't hit then you know you have clearance for parking garages or low ceilings
Definitely continue this series and expanding upon it. Nice truck and setup! I may do the Antenna mod in the future. I'm planning on Raptor lining the bed and possibly the entire truck after I see the bed results. Very cheap compared to having it done. I have an older truck and the paint is starting to chip off up to 1/2 inch portions.
Yrojn thanks, you should get the antenna it’s bad ass! How much are planning to spend on the raptor liner?
@@halohalohikers3571 I'm looking at a non tintable version kit coming in around 150. Minus the compressor (110v) and a water separator. Its humid here
Good job. I'd do the wheel liners and LEDs
Great suggestions man. Thanks!
The truck is looking great, really clean build. It looks ready for some FUA
Orlando Garcia FUUAAA! 💪🏼😵
Great Vid... I also changed out all of my interior lights with LED bulbs.
That’s a great mod too.
I can't figure out how to change the interior lights to led on my 2021 Z71 lt... I can't even find a video on how too.. any tips or a video maybe to show me??
you got me with your opening line "aka, modifications that can be done without your wife even knowing". lolol you just gained a subscriber for that one. Currently I am looking at the 1500 RST model.
When that giant box with the wheel well liners is sitting on your front porch she’s gonna notice. Worth it tho!
Awesome video. Thanks, man!
LASFIT products are awesome man got the reverse and license plate lights from that company and my front signal lights as well!
They have great customer service and are local to me!
"This antenna functions better but has worse reception" 🤣
You can either have it done or do it yourself, but doing an undercoat on your truck, especially when it’s brand new, can really help preserve and prevent rust. Do a wax/oil base one then never exactly hardens because plastic or a harden under coat will chip and actually hold water, dirt, or salt and help it rust quicker without you seeing it.
What do you use for undercoat?
I don’t usually comment on videos, but I have to say this was a great video. Amazing job between the music and presentation
Thanks, it’s appreciated!
Another awesome video. Subbed.
I put the Speed Turtle Engineering flasher module 3.0 in my Trail Boss. It is $200 so it doesn't fit the under $100 but it is a really simple upgrade and worth the money if you need a custom light flasher. I work for an call/vol fire department and respond to fire and medical calls from home so I use that with my dash mounted red light and it helps to get other motorists out of the way.
Roger that. Sounds like great upgrade.
Great video I’ve done the two window and the plasti dip mods myself and the LED blinker mod is on my radar . Cheers
Awesome! It’s the small details that seal the deal. Cheers.
loved the broken glass sound at the end haha. Kids man!
I need that Binford tools hat too...
Your the first one to catch that!
Good video rocking some Trail Boss mods! Appreciate it.
Glad you enjoyed it, check out part 2!
Loving the content so far!
If you're still looking for led reverse lights, Diesel LEDs have the best I've ever had! They're almost as bright as my headlights!
Awesome video! Just stumbled on your channel - it looks like some great content. I make camping/hiking videos myself! Thanks for sharing, and excited to check your videos out!
awesome video yes do part 2!
FYI, GM makes factory rear wheel well liners ($150) that match the felt-like texture of the front liners. Either way, with all that space above the rear wheels it looks MUCH better with liners.
Why in the hell would you want the felt liners, the plastic ones are way better!!
Dudes calves a MONSTROUS 😂 good vid tho
I think he can skip a few leg days
Nice! Gonna do all all!
Great vid. I'd love to see a part 2. Maybe some under dash lights, back-of-seat organizers (I have those) and a light bar.
Rodney Fisk thanks for the ideas! First aid kit was actually the first thing I bought.
Just purchased a 2021 z71. Dope video brother 👍🏼
Congrats, I’m still in love a year later! Such a fun truck.
I think the best part of the video is that dude is wearing a Binford Tools hat😆 #ToolTime
Love those liners 👍
You had me at wife not noticing
Zackarrie Pittman well she noticed the boxes I wasn’t as stealth as I thought lol
Same
Those calves are ridiculous.
I'm getting that bullet antenna. Thanks for the vid.
Sorry, but I love the chrome on my truck. Not only the emblems, but the bumpers, grill, wheels, door handles, and running boards being chrome set off the fire engine red paint nicely.
quads you can trust with your life, and everyone else's life on the entire planet. Lift us Atlas.
very helpful. I am buying a chevy and want to install those liners.
Great idea. And congrats on your new truck!
Tint guys should have went 15% on front windows to match back. 20% is actually the same that is on the back but the amount of light that comes through in the front 15% matches better.
Great video and good looking truck!
Thank you
Awesome vid dude. I've got that same truck!
Jason Bolin 🍻It’s a bad ass truck!
Good looking truck.
The only thing I would be opposed to it the rear liners, I like the ability to wash out the debris and dust the get on top of the frame rail and the front corners od the wheel well, usually a liner will hold all the dust/debris and cause the rust. But I like the Channel and love your truck it was inspiration and convincing on my fiancé to start on mine
Yep. Those liners actually lead to more mud getting trapped behind them and causing rush. Probably why factory didn’t include them in the first place. They do look better than stock though
Just subscribed. Awesome vid!
I have the GMC version of your truck (AT4) you're giving me some good ideas.
🍻
Great video man. I love the interior of ur truck with what it seems patches? Can you make a video on it?
That's a cute little 50 cal antenna.... I made my own with a 20mm...
Love your truck!
Thanks brotha!
great video, u gave me the idea to get a new antenna for my truck .. amazoned it
Glad you found it helpful!
I'm gonna check out the rear fender liners thanks for the video man keep up the good work
6Th Gen Rudy I wish they came with the truck!
@@halohalohikers3571 I know GM mest up not putting them in
@@halohalohikers3571 I just checked my truck man and my truck does have the fender liners in the back I have the LT silverado
6Th Gen Rudy oh awesome! Maybe it’s dealer specific... well that’s $100 you can spend else where now!
It's part of the bed protection package on the LT which is the spray in liner and rear wheel well liners. They are the crap felt like material the front ones are so all I see are them holding in water/mud/salt and eventually breaking apart. I bought the Husky liners for my Trail Boss but mine only had the plastic push pins on the three bottom holes and not screws like yours. I may have to upgrade since I had to use the rubber grommets that were intended for use with the factory screws when replacing the factory felt liners when I installed mine as the fit wasn't very tight. I also used marine corrosion protectant spray that's clear to coat everything the liner would cover so salt won't eat away at it should it wind up getting behind there. Living in Michigan it eventually winds up everywhere!
AutoStop Eliminator - Online purchase with Discount Code, my cost was $89.00. Now they have the Pulsar LT that also has AutoStop and DFM eliminator. $481.00 My next project to save for. Pulsar installs under the Hood, programming on the steering wheel. Very clean and invisible install. Your Truck looks great. I spent $11.99 and got a Capless Fuel cover, works great. Keeps Dirt and Water out of Fuel Tank.
Definitely do a part two
Bro this is some great stuff! I don’t have a truck, unfortunately, but it makes me want to get one.
You can do something of these mods on any vehicle! It doesn’t have to be a truck. 👍🏼
Once you own a truck you'll wonder why you never owned one sooner!
Finally found a youtuber who ownes a Trail Boss with a Roof Top tent! Please keep these videos coming!
Jonathan Ackerman Hey bud, will do. 🍻
Would like to see a part 2. Thx
Dude went hard on that first coat
Wish I could get that antenna. But I use the stock one to make sure I don't touch the support beams in parking garages.
With my lift and tent I can’t fit in most garages anymore unfortunately.
I have the same truck in the same color and I like the mods... they look pretty sweet.
Awesome. I see your an EMT, my wife and I are in the medical field also. Thanks for your service during the pandemic. Hope you enjoy your beast of a truck!
@@halohalohikers3571 Thank you brother. Yes I do it volunteer, on call for my local fire department and really enjoy it. My wife is also in the medical field and thankfully we've been safe through the pandemic. I hope the same for you and your wife. Keep up the great videos and I hope you also enjoy YOUR beast of a truck!!
Cool video my bro. Good useful content.
Glad you found it helpful!
9:40 them leg muscles tho😂
Like tha hat man, can you do the soud??😂
Plasti dip looked great surprisingly. Like that alot
Glad you found it helpful. It’s a super easy mod!
What percentage did you do in your front windows? Just got my trail boss last week. Truck is looking good.
Jeremy W I’m not sure, I just asked him to make it match.
I like your bed setup cool .
Thanks!
Nice video
what is that thing you have on the top of your truck bed?
Nice truck and all but seriously what do you do for calves?
Cool man thanks. Have you ever seen a way to mod an automatic shift lever? I got a 98 S10 I wanted to mess with. Dig the channel subscribed. Be well brother.
awesome looking truck, what rack system is in the back? i make my own vinyl decals for my truck, did the bullet antenna, basically all ive done on mine so far
It’s the Putco Venture tec rack. I have a video about it somewhere on the channel. Check it out.
@@halohalohikers3571 awesome, thanks! ill go look for it
Does your truck have a lift on it?
Was the driver side blinking faster than the passenger side?
Nice truck man
Thank you sur
i got 3:27 brass 50cal antenna fer 20.oo from oreily and works great
They make those Husky Rear Fenders for the 2017 GMC Sierra Denali?
I'd be interested in seeing more.
Coming soon!
Does the plasti dip work on rims because my Silverado came with nice rims but it’schrome and lowkey looks ass with the red and black no cap
Very quality videos you make sir you deserve more subs!
Thanks Joe!
Cool video. What’s the mechanism in the back of your truck? I want one for my gmc
It’s a bed rack, with a roof top tent.
When you pealed the plasti dip off the emblem with the raised bumps, was it difficult or did it come right off ?
It came right off no issues what so ever!
How did you get patches to stick to your roofliner?
Confacimus 3M Velcro on some, and small sewing needles on some. The thick ones fall off due to the heat so I have to use sewing needles. You can’t seem them and it’s removable.
Nice looking truck
Thank you sir
Just curious, my Silverado didn’t come with fog lights , considering having the dealership put them in and programming bcm , are the factory ones you have led or halogen ?
I changed out to Light pods now, but the stock fog lights on the LT were LED.
Dude did NOT skip leg day!
Is your truck black or the shadow grey metallic? And did you upgrade the lift to fit 35s out do they fit with the stock 2 inch?
shadow gray metallic. 6" lift.
Nice video brother. I have to ask, how do you work out your calves? I got skinny ones, so any help I can get is appreciated. Thank you.
A lot of hiking carrying a 50lb toddler/backpack lol. I’ve also done martial art my whole life with an emphasis on kicking and striking so I have always been big on leg work. Also genetics, my dad has large claves 🤔.
Good shit
What is covering the back of the truck
What tint percent is it
What bed rack is that?
If you remove the tape from the red z before the plasti dip dries you will get clean lines .
These accessories are awesome haha, man the second one wasn’t bueno
What color is your truck? Just bought 2021 custom trail boss with 6.2 will be starting to mod soon thanks for the video!
Congrats on your truck! Mine is shadow metallic gray.
Have you tried to take red plasti-dip, sprayed it on a paper plate, dipped a small paint brush and hand panted to red for the Z71?
