"Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wonder if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? The lyrics are whatever you want them to be. That's what I'm really liking about listening to a Japanese rock bands that I never though about. As a drummer I was NEVER into lyrics until after I approved of the music. I think that's why I love Band-Maid MV's so much because they can express the lyrics through vision. Over two years listening to BM and I have no idea what any song is really about, and I choose to keep it that way because they are about what I want them to be about. Thanks Jake!

Also, I think it's a nice example that you don't always have to understand the lyrics to understand the feelings that can be contained in a song. I see what you did there.😉 Has anybody else suggested 'Love Passion Matador,' 'Freezer,' 'One and Only,' 'Chemical Reaction,' 'Liberal' or 'Yuragu' by Band-Maid yet? It's very important to pick a song no one else has suggested but is also an absolute banger and these are some of my favorites but never get as much love as their bigger songs. They are all great and worth votes. And I will find some kind of music video for them, even if I have to make it myself. 😊

I suspect it also started because they wanted to emphasize, "Yes we actually play our instruments" because iirc it started before any endorsement deals. Somehow I respect MVs more when I see cords and amps, even tho I know they're syncing to the studio track and there's no power outlet anywhere in sight - the classic joke being that for "Endless Story" the amps are plugged into the volcano.
Daydreaming's an amazing early 00's rainy day ballad and I say that in the best way. And you might be right about the solo, because if it actually was an early 00's song, it wouldn't have a nice shredding solo in it and would have gone straight to a bridge to another chorus or vocal breakdown and then to the chorus. If you did get a solo it would be guitar 'singing' the chorus. Songs just didn't have true shredding solos there for a while.
