I have the Behringer “clone” of the Boss Noise Gate on my board, just to tame the dirt pedals in the loop. A good use of about $20-30 used. Sure it’s plastic, but the case probably could take being run over by a tank with no major issues
wish me luck, I have a very noisy Marshall that has extraordinary nice distortion, I just ordered the Behringer NR300, hopefully this will solve the problem!
don't think so. You'd want the tuner to be as close to your guitar signal as much as possible, for the most accurate tuning result. (I might be wrong as I'm still learning, 1st hour in.)
Hello Kris, i've a Catalyst 200 and Helix Floor. What Settings should i use for default for Treshold and Decay in the Noise Gates? In Helix i've 2 options (Input and a Noise Gate Effekt Block). What is the best option for Helix? Noise Gate in Input Settings or Noise Gate Effekt Block?
Hi, it depends. Technically a noise suppressor is different. The BOSS NS-2 is called Noise Suppressor though, even though that's a noise gate. So it's confusing a little, haha! A noise suppressor filters out a bit of noise from the signal too, a gate only cuts (mutes) the noise between the playing parts. I hope that makes sense. //Kris
Then try it at the beginning of the signal chain right after the guitar) and then at the end too. Which ever works best for your rig is the right place for the gate. Cheers //Kris

Nicely done Kris! Hope you're doing well!
Hey Shawn, thanks a lot my man! I'm doing great, I hope you too! //Kris
Thank you Kris! -very useful info!
/me reads noise gate, thinks compressor, looks surprised... Still I learned about the loop possibility. Thanks Kris!
Haha, same same. But different. Glad you found it interesting still, cheers! //Kris
does noise gate come before tuner in the pedal chain?

Die Gold top klingt total krank 🔥👍😂
Ja, oder? So ne geile Gitarre. Wir sind alle in der total verliebt, haha! //Kris
And what about noise suppressors? They are not noise gates, right?

@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses Thanks for the answer. I hope to see a video about the two different pedals here in the future. Bye!
But what if it's all of those things causing the noise?
