Same! I have the Revv 1x12 cab with an H75 Creamback and my Marshall 4x12 has 2 H75 Creambacks and 2 V30s in X pattern. My Dynamis 7-40 sounds great through both cabs and it's the best pedal platform amp I've ever played for sure. Personally, I never liked V30 on their own. Way too nasally for my taste but it really combines well with the Creamback.
REVV rules!!!! Im all about massive headroom clearances, as my drive is typically all from the pedals. I set a clean tone im happy with and then I tailor my drive pedals to fit my ear and my amp. Having an efx loop to put stuff behind the drive is very important in a pedal platform. Maybe a few loops.
Fender Hot Rod is amazing! Please make a video for recording guitar using an amp, because your recordings are super clean without valve noise! Thank you!
Many of the Hughes and Kettner amps also have a channel volume, so you can balance preamp breakup along with the pedal interaction. The Clean channel is usually more Fender like and the Crunch channel is more Plexi in flavor that you can run clean with lower preamp settings. They also have EFX loops.
Whot about the trusty JC-22, JC-40, JC-120 Especially the JC-120 does provide a lot of headroom and stage power. It might miss the "tube sag & sparkle" but one could compensate this with the "real" stereo chorus and/or a bit of reverb
Roland JC amps line is an excellent pedal platform. You get a clear representation of what you put into it. Not good if you want to drive the amp for amp distortion since it is just a clean power source.
Haha, yeah can't argue with that. That amp is based on a Bassman as far as I know, which is an amazing amp. It has a good amount of all the sweet frequencies. //Kris
Fender ! No questions asked. Most of the vintage pedals were design when we didn’t have a lot of brands. Nowadays most people still try their new pedals with a Fender amp.
I have to admit my jaw dropped when I saw this intro. Soooo Fckiiiing Cooooool I love it and I'm just 10s into the video! 🔥🔥🔥 And I might have said the same thing before but I haven't been on yt for some time 🤣
@ThomannsGuitarsBasses great 👍. I noticed that for me headroom was the key factor. Before I knew much about amps, I bought a dsl 1 watt , thinking it would be great for home use but it couldn't handle most of my pedals, especially not the drive pedal diezel vh4-2. That is when I came to the conclusion that I wanted a big wattage amp even for home use but with a master volume or an attenuator
Hey, simply contact our guitar department and tell them the REVV specs you want to have. You can spec these amps on the Revv website (you can see all the options there), Thomann can order your amp with your specs for you. It's like a custom shop but without the upcharge (or at least very little extra cost). gitarre@thomann.de Btw ours in the studio is tweed with our fave speaker, the Celestion Creamback 75. Cheers //Kris
Great video!!!! You guys rock!!! Please make more videos like this. I was like 😮😮😮 all six minutes. Thanks for making a moron proof video. Learned a lot!!! Love your content as always.
That Revv with the Creamback 75 was phenomenal! Certainly my speaker of choice.

Which ever one sounds good to you. For me as a pedal platform, that’s an old 60’s Vox or a Black / Silverface Fender.

The REVVs speaker selection does make sense ... great sound alternatives

Thanks for the hint .. will dig into this ...
You guys are getting great at this! I find the subjects more interesting than another well known guitar shop!

Very Cool, Thankyou. Stunning Guitars and playing as always. Excellent examples/demonstrations. All the Best. Cheers
According to Josh Scott of JHS the Loud is More Good amp by Milkman is the best pedal platform ever.

@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses: And what's the best pedal platform for bassguitar? My guess it's a Glockenklang 😍😍😍
Fender ! No questions asked.

Any Fender amp essentially. Loud, super clean, slightly darker tone.
I have to admit my jaw dropped when I saw this intro.

Haha! Thanks buddy, we loved making this intro. 😆 Cheers //Kris
Nice upload my friend.great info.❤🙏⚘🙏⚘🙏⚘🙏
Thanks so much my dude! Cheers //Kris
Marshall amp with mxr distortion plus
Do you ever use any software to look more objectively at the frequency spectrum? If so, what do you recommend?
you missed the opportunity for explosions and eagles at the slomo intro.
Ok this is a bit spooky, I was thinking about this question just like a couple of hours ago 😅
So do I have a new special power now? 😆 //Kris
The Fender ML Hot Rod Deville amp is really good as that .
100% //Kris

What’s the db meter on the back?
Great video!
I have a Fender 2/12 Frontman. Is it good for pedals? Can I push high gain pedals through it?
Thank you!
Brandon Jameson
Important topic🤔 I prefer more smaller amps😃
Where can we buy the tweed d25?

Good video but too Quick haha moreeee
One Revv is better with the clean and the other is better with the distortion?!?!?!?
So in reality it’s a myth.
On persons chimney is another’s twangy and one persons muddy is another persons warm.
Yeah that's so true. Everyone likes something else, which is also a very important factor. //Kris
Conclusion : amp just like a women . They are unpredictable
best amp for pedals: NOT a guitar amp! maybe a PA-speaker, a bass amp or a keyboard amp, those have flat frequency (or should have it)
