Hearing many horror stories where foreigners tested positive dragged out of the hotel first booked, told the hospital is full, and then forced into a dump of a Covid hotel at 6,000 baht night and insurance refused to pay for it. Sounds like being held, hostage for ransom. I guess I will have to fake a heart attack to make sure I am taken to a hospital.
It would be useful to find out the odds on these unpleasant positive or false positive outcomes. Is it 1 in a 100 or 1 in 10?

I came back last October as a long stayer, I wouldn't have done 7 days in a gulag if I was a tourist I would have chosen another destination.
We retired to Thailand 10 years ago…….the rules keep changing, not the best way to attract more retirement folks.
We have traveled and will only return once normality has returned.
I wish the Thai government would watch your show sometimes just so they can hear some rational thought on what is going on here. You always explain things well and point out the things that everyone seems to understand at this point except Thai officials. Why are they always so far behind the curve on this? They are hurting their own people horribly.

It is so refreshing to see the intelligent and insightful comments of viewers such as yourself of Ben's very fine videos - viewers who can see that there is far, far more to this 'bug' story than the mainstream media (bought and paid for) will ever tell us. The very fact that we have to use circumlocutions here on this famous video platform (I dare not even use the name of it, in case it triggers the algorithms!) shows that censorship is rampant and fears spreading of the truth. Yes, you are so right: it is utterly abhorrent to me (and should be to any normal, self-respecting HUMAN BEING) to be treated as though guilty (of having some killer disease) when I am perfectly healthy, and have been so throughout this whole two year span of undiluted evil. Some people whom I know very well and intimately (no names mentioned!) have defied that evil every single step of the way. For such people, there is no way that they will ever take an injectible that has already got the blood and deaths of hundreds of thousands of duped people around the world on its syringe. I do believe, however, that there are enough people now who can see the scam for what it is (TOTAL dehumanising control of a much smaller world population) and who will create their own communities of resistance and mutual aid. Follow the money, there is someone who is profiting from all this, maybe its a group or a single entity. Is it possible someone(s) is invested in theses hotels or maybe invested in the PCR tests?

It has got to the point since the first world wide lockdowns with better treatment or vaccine at some point you have to move past just health to jobs, business as priority. After all there is no 100% safe you have to deal with the infection sooner or latter especially if you want the country to survive. Even the 5,000 or so to Phuket is only a drop of past millions of tourists.
You’d be surprised how long a mass hysteria can last.
With Test and Go and I had a guest from USA fly in for 3 nights then directly back to the states obviously that’s an impossibility right now under current conditions

The actual problem is many "tourists" will not follow restrictions. 1st be fully aware it not your playground, but their nation, so wear the mask etc even if you dislike or stay away. 2nd book a hotel where you can stay in quarantine if necessary, as being in a closed tube with many others who may be unknowingly infected and spread is your willful risk. That is no difference than someone goes to a store to buy something or to see a medical appointment. locals may be put in self (if approved) self isolation or a field isolation center, so are the tourist somehow special? I've made 4 attempts to go to BKK for followup treatment, each time they have another new outbreak which crashes local economy and closes business and schools as that gets spread across the nation. As is currently happening now again. So I simply do not go there until that place can contain what they allow to enter. And I could drive in and out.
