For many to be able to stay in Thailand and pay their living expenses they must work. Many are good people; they just do not want to go to war. Exchanging robles for dollars or Thai baht is very difficult, and the exchange rate is very high. The Thai government wants tourists, but many, so-called, tourists need to work to stay in Thailand. The emigration must enforce the law, unfortunately, many peaceful Russians will try to work to stay in Thailand. A lot of ex pats never knew about the tax law. If they knew they may have not come here as its unaffordable for most. What about expats that brought money over before 2024 nievely, will they be chased for previous years? How can retirees afford tax on anything over 150k Baht per year. It's difficult enough already to survive on a measly pension. Try to look at it more from the average ex pat who's just about surviving and didn't know about the tax law, then maybe people can relate to you.

All for Thailand reaping the most profit for their agricultural, cannabis/hemp production included, but if a foreigner is working or running a cannabis shop illegally, Thai law already in place for this...correct? Just needs to be enforced. Also, re-criminalization as proposed law/policy is based on what problems/data so far? What problems have occurred in Thai society since adult recreational use started...there's been more death, crime, higher collective health problems compared to alcohol and/or meth? If recreational use consumption is a danger to society, will Thai citizens be shown these deemed dangerous facts before this proposed re-criminalization? Curious also why Thailand has given out so many dispensary permits so far...they'd be OK with eliminating new cannabis revenues/tax base income from cannabis sales with this proposed legislation?

The 'sandbox' was a total joke😅 I went to Phuket because I didn't see my wife and kids for 22 months. Upon arrival at my hotel I asked the staff if they could do me a favour in buying me some groceries (as I technicly wasn't allowed to leave my room) Then they asked me if I was disabled, witch I'm not, gave me a motorbike and directions to the first 7/11😂😂😂 and told me that there were no restrictions to do what ever I want....😂😂😂

From a website, it's stated that entry by air is unlimited (implies that you have money to do so). The immigration officers also don't say how many times entry is Ok. They are looking more at suspicious passport activity that indicates a tourist is working in Thailand (which is prohibited).

Robert Sultan, on TH-cam has just produced a very good and simple instructional video on online TM-47 (TM-30) visa applications, through the official Thai Immigration Service app, and it looks very basic and straightforward. He received an electronic TM-47 renewal confirmation in about 15 minutes which he printed out to keep in his passport. I don't believe any cost was associated.

I used the online reporting for the first time and later got a second e mail reminding me to do a report on the due date. No problem except that I went overseas and returned prior to the reporting time. I did an online report as directed by the email which came back "REJECTED". Normally when you go overseas and return (if you have a 1 year NON-IMM Visa), the reporting date starts 90 days from your return date. Worried about the REJECTED notice, I went to Immigration and they told me this is indeed the case and not to use the online reporting system if you do an oversea trip during the reporting cycle

In theory, I think it is true that the online 90 day reporting is supposed to act like going into a TM office. BUT I have never been able to get online to work at all despite having all my papers and requirements ok every year. I have an O type Thai spouse visa, and visa type might be a factor. I don't know how to find out. I would not expect a local TM official to know (that comment was not a put down but merely acknowledges the rigors of their particular jobs). Mysteries prevail. So, don't count on the past due grace period and then use online renewal assuming it will go right through. Try online a week before the due date to make sure online renewal works in your case. If it does work early in your case, then maybe you can be a little slack later. However, just because online renewal worked before the due date does not mean it will work after. Also, if you are a day or two over the grace period (once mw wife and I got really sick), then a local TM agent is likely to help you out. Really. But online cannot help you out, likely you will be assessed a fine automatically, and then you will have to go in to the TM office anyway to pay it. Yes, yes, all of us, including TM officials, wish there was a better system. But for now. Mike.

I spend time on Kho Samui ,Tao, Phangan espically the latter. I hear expats laughing calling the farang republic as seemingly they do what they want. There has been token arrests but behind the scenes its business as usual the Republic of Phangan .
