El Salvador is not backtracking on bitcoin, what happened is they took a loan from the IMF, and the IMF forced the terms that they had to scale down certain areas of their bitcoin promotion,,, please don’t spread misinformation about bitcoin,,, it seems you’re directing your anger at bitcoin instead of where it belongs, which is with the leaders of Thailand.. .. bitcoin is decentralized and peer to peer trustless technology that doesn’t allow governments, banks, third parties to control it, or manipulate it, , so I’m a little confused why you’re so down on bitcoin it’s the best money that was ever created….it’s a better version of gold. It has all the benefits that gold has and has none of the downsides that gold has.. if you understand the definition of money and understand the eight properties of money - scarcity, portability, divisibility, verifiable, decentralized, portable, fungible, durable… side-by-side comparisons with gold and Fiat dollar, bitcoin blows them both out of the water, bitcoin scores, and A+ and A’s across the board of those properties, the most important one is scarcity, and the Fiat dollar score is an F in the most important characteristics and properties of money… Gold scores, C’s, and D’s in portability, divisibility, decentralization, and censorship proof… you can’t argue these facts nor should we, it’s decentralized, which is what we want, why would you choose a monetary system that is controlled and manipulated by central Banks and governments, I really don’t understand your anger towards bitcoin,, since your views seem to be very against the WEF, and government control and you are for privacy, in my opinion, you’re directing your anger at bitcoin, instead of where it belongs… I hope you change your views

Hi Benjamin, love your content, hey, do you think you could do a more thorough video on bitcoin and it’s use in Thailand, and the law surrounding how it can and cannot be used.. i’m not finding much info on this topic on TH-cam…. There’s many people retiring and choosing to save their wealth in bitcoin instead of the dollar because the Fiat dollar money printing devalues our savings if it’s held in dollars . so bitcoin is a much better way to store that value… so for people that are acting as their own bank and self custody their bitcoin, if retired in Thailand, is it feasible to convert our bitcoin into Thai baht to pay for all monthly expenses? so the process of selling the bitcoin for Thai baht makes the Thai baht stronger, and spending that Thai baht in Thailand, obviously helps the economy in Thailand …. So the Thai government should want to encourage this and accept this, and make it easier for people that choose to save in bitcoin instead of dollars ….I see that they’re used to be some bitcoin ATMs, a couple in Bangkok and one in Ko Samui but it seems like those might be gone now….. am I right that Thailand used to embrace bitcoin more and now there’s been a change ? Anyways, if you could do a deep dive on this about the law and realities of bitcoin in Thailand would be much appreciated. Thanks

I am not a lawyer and I do not play one on TV. Having said that I started processing H1B visas back in 1997. A couple of things seem to get missed in the discussion. 1. The fees to get this done have gone up substantially. 2. Employers are required to pay the prevailing wage. The idea is to bring in people we need to fill voids and in 1997 we had a major IT shortage. So for top level data engineers, AI scientists etc. We can use the help. The rest is mostly fear mongering. As far as Trump in his first term he did quite well. He had a RINO running congress that was deciding the agenda. The argument on comprehensive immigration reform has not changed in 30 years. One side says close the borders first and the other side says reform immigration then we will give you border security. How much political capital should Trump spend against this headwind. We like to say we can walk and chew gum at the same time but can we? It will take a decade to understand all of the damage that has been caused in the last four years and I find it amazing the damage P. Biden insists on doing to burn it down before he leaves. Maybe the American public has had enough killings and bombings by people who illegally walked across the southern border. Maybe this time we will get long term border security. That combined with throwing 10 million people out - might give people some incentive to do comprehensive immigration. BTW - why does it need to be comprehensive. Why do we need 2500 pages all at once. Why cant we deal with this in pieces. As an example - If you came in illegally you have 90 days to leave the country or you will never be eligible for citizenship. This would cause mass self deportation. Go home and get in line. Then enforce the work rules. No work permit no work. The penalty is $500 a day for the employer. If people want to self deport I would be game for buying them a plane ticket. And for any that have what might be legit asylum claims - which is nearly impossible because we are not the first country they come to, implement a 90 day reporting system like Thailand has. "Comprehensive" reform has been a promise from the elite for 4 decades. At this point, the word "comprehensive", means, "do nothing". How about just stopping immigration completely for 2 years until something with teeth gets done in DC. A complete stop will force a change.

American immigration (including illegal) is so very different than the way Thai’s handle this. America’s immigration is designed to maximize population usury. The entire economy and culture is built on it. Not a defining feature of Thai life. Also, Thai elites don’t fundamentally hate their people. Contrasted with the U.S.

Next week I will log onto the Thai Immigration website to check out the list of documents, income verification and health insurance verification required in order to extend my annual O-A Non Immigrant/Retirement visa in April. Whatever is listed as the required documents on that website I will bring to Immigration when I go there to apply for the extension, which I have done just fine each of the past 12 years, and not one document more than that. If there are some new tax documents, tax filing or tax payment verification I need to bring that is not listed on that site the Immigration Officer will just have to spring it on me that day and I suppose I'll have to scramble like a nut to get it done before my current visa expires. Which will be a first in 12 years really. Any changes in the documents required for a given year are generally going to be stated and listed on that website by the 2nd week in January. And, btw, as of today, January 2nd, there are NO changes in the list of documents and verification needed vs last year. There is NO new mention of anything regarding requiring me to have or produce a Tax I.D., proof of having paid taxes back in my home country or anything else. Not as of this writing anyway. Which is all good, imo. But I will check again next week and the week after that.

I have a Spousal Visa application pending now going on 12 months. And I fear now that we will most likely need to wait 4 more years before possibly living together with my wife. I agree that we are being invaded for the last 4 years using asylum to cross our borders here in the US. But I think they will limit both illegal and legal immigration together, for the next 4 years,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
