I want to say a BIG thank you to 'everyone' who has commented on the inspiration that they've received from this video. When I put this video together I was following my heart to inspire 'Whoever' might be discouraged to... "Not Give Up!"
However, I have received the most from this posting. I have been blessed from the countless strangers who have directly (or indirectly) motivated me to continue forward.
I did not know when I posted this video that 'exactly a year after posting this video that I would experience a tragic loss. Life has a strange way of holding us up in our time of need.
May we all spread the message of hope

4 years ago i almost give up on college, my brother showed me this video and i cried.. 2 years later i graduate with good grade, thanks to this video..
i ended up being unemployed anyway but at least i finished my college

I respect the hell outta Derek Redmond for finishing the race because of everything he did to get to that point and despite his injury to finish the race. Incredible moment from his dad as well for pushing past security to help his anguished son.

This video is a physical representation of the relationship between all of us and our Heavenly Father. It perfectly demonstrates his willingness and eagerness to come to our aid and prop us up when we are down and encourage us and reassure us, just like this father does for his son.

He didn't win a medal but he did win the hearts of everybody who watched him complete the race. People can win medals and never be remembered again but to come last and be remembered forever shows humans care more about what you put in then what you take away which was shown in this historic moment.

Derek had deserved the first place since he didn't give up and he never stop to try even with his painful situation .Maybe he was the least in the race but people will never forget him . He is an inspiring person and sucessful one.
The lesson here is you don't have to be number one, Any Position atleast you try your best. You being down but managed to go up and try again until you succeed. ♥️

Derek won my heart. He was wounded but not not rejected. He kept his focus on the finishing line. Life is never a bed of roses.... It is lined with curved called challenges and bends called opportunity. You may scream, yell or cry but never you give up both on yourself and on God. Keep hope alive! Shalom.
how can i relate to this? very much, i was running along the road to life, my father died when i was 3 years old, then my mother left me to my grand parents, at the age of 13 i become independent and from then on i mange to send my self to college, no one was there, no one even during my college graduation day, i was father less and home less, now all the things i don't have before i give it to my family my wife and kids.
in times we get knocked down let's do our best to get up and finish the race no matter what, after all its about finishing strong. salute to all positive spirit out there.
Tore my hamstring in the 200m when I was 13 and there was no way in hell I was finishing that race.. It snapped in half and took 5 months to recover so I could run again, not sprint but run. Props to this guy for finishing it
You can't snap a hamstring it's a muscle you can pull them or tore them but not snap

Only listen to the nice and loving people, the people who support you. The haters just aren't worth it. They don't know the meaning of kindness :) This has really touched me too, it brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye. This happened a couple of years before I was born, so I didn't see it when it originally happened. I'm just sat here thinking "I'm not gonna cry, I'm not gonna cry!"

More than any physical disabilities .....i feel people without parents are the most unluckiest....because at the time of that utter loneliness that u face in life ...never expect even your best friends to be there with you....the only people who is going to be there with u is your PARENTS.......each time i failed i only had them to cheer me up...... ...... ....each time my friend does not invite me for her birthday.......each time i walk alone..................they never let me to be lonely .......i can live without food .......but not without them.........i can't even imagine the day you guys leave from this world ....that is the day when I am going to face the real loneliness😢
