This video reminds me of that moment in gym class when I was in high school. We played basketball and I was a general failure and full of self-doubt. But then I threw an unbelievable shot... Clean from far behind in the basket. My head was completely still and I ignored my classmates' pleas to pass the ball. And I noticed confusion and shock in their expectations of me when I scored. The moment was truly divine.

i think kobe is the greatest example of someone who became great from *almost* pure mental/intellectual strength. Other players become great off of raw physical ability as he mentions, but he became great from accepting that he could not change his less-than-best physical traits, but that he could change his technique and control of the game.

Nobody is perfect kobe wasn't perfect but he learned and learned and learned some more and was able to change his image and his life around and dedicated all his love not just us the fans and people who grew up admiring him, but more importantly for him his family the ones who where always there for him through the bad and good. R.i.P Los Angeles Laker GOAT.
