Yeah pretty pathetic. If you read BMW owner forums, wireless CarPlay is a nightmare...barely even works and people keep having to manually re-pair their phones with the car all the time. Sounds like an awesome feature, especially since you have to pay a subscription to use it...
Nearly every single day on my way to work, I see the exact same BM-double douche come tearing up the highway behind me. Most of the traffic is flowing at 70-80 MPH and this clown blows past everyone doing at least 95 MPH every day, yet never seems to get pulled over. Drives an older generation 330i coupe that's lowered with fat exhaust pipes...extra levels of douch-ness.
cat lover bmws indicator system is weird and hard to operate plus you think bmw drivers are assholes because you would notice a bmw driver cutting people off more than some kid cutting you off in a civic/wrx

I wouldn't touch an out of warranty BMW with a 10 foot pole. Had to help my friend twice because his used BMW's electronics crapped out and stranded him. Cost $352 to fix a relatively minor issue out of warranty.
I had a used bmw 328i. Was an amazing machine. Loved driving it. But the electronics went to crap after a few months of ownership. Unless they make bmws with more reliable electronics, i will never buy one new or used
I owned a 3 Series about a decade ago. It was a great car, one of my favorites. I went light on the packages, premium and xenon lights. But it has to be said once you're getting well over $50K there are a LOT of choices out there. I'm not entirely sure the modern 3 Series is the absolute benchmark that it once was. And making Apple CarPlay a subscription service is just utter contempt for consumers. What's next? A fee for pairing my smart phone to the car? Sending me a usage fee each time I honk my horn? Or how about billing me if the auto collision detection saves me from a collision?
ZCT808 Tesla Model 3 is better, I got an free ota update that got me smart summon where the car drives itself across the parking lot to pick me up. And it’s got Netflix/TH-cam on full 15” screen and amazing sound system. More controls on the mobile app like defroster, vent windows, close windows and I didn’t pay a single cent. Looking forward to more free ota updates.
Sadly, the 3 series is nothing special anymore and they continue to take away any value with outrageously high pricing. You can find better driving dynamics in a Giulia and much better value in a G70.
Volvo isn't exactly cheap either and their reliability rating is nearly dead last among all manufacturers. Any new Volvo since the 2016 XC90 was redesigned is a bucket of bolts on wheels, ready to fall apart at any moment as soon as it is driven off the dealer lot. Just read some owner forums to see what I mean, a lot of unhappy customers who were fooled by the pretty sheet metal and minimalist interiors of new Volvo products.
No they offer nothing that comes close to the Germans. Lexus has been trying to make a sports coupe and sedan for years and has failed every time. RC and LC are sitting on lots at a huge discount. Lexus SUV sales are the only thing keeping it in the running in sales against the Germans. Even then Lexus loses in sales.

I used to own bmw 3 series even 2016 model. To be honset with bmw technology package you don’t need apple carplay or android auto. Bmw idrive is pretty good with bmw connected features.

On the U.S. configurator there are run flats, performance, and high performance for the track package. BMW has just lost the plot. That fussy and confused styling is off putting. The 4cylinder just sounds gutless and generic. Oh now you get to pay to use Apple CP. The game's moved on. There are plenty of other competitive options out there. The Genesis G70 is excellent. And I'd rather pick the Audi A4 with the Prestige Pack .
I rather have the Tesla Model 3 drive itself in the parking lot to pick me up in bad weather. And I can play Netflix/TH-cam/Hulu and cuphead on the 15” screen, along with a better mobile app, Teslas are faster on the road and more ota updates.

That’s a depreciation hit of 52-55 percent from a msrp of $70K 😁... The 2016 BMW 428 Grand Coupes can be had for $24k-$29k in 2019.
Not since the 1990s have I been so unimpressed with the 3 Series. The high price. The questionable fit and finish inside the trunk. The lack of Android Auto. I recommend the Z4 and 230i convertible. But I can't recommend the 3 Series this time around. If you really prefer a sedan, there are better ones out there.

It is bullshit. They used to charge like $300 for the hardware as an option. Now it is $80 a year after the first year, so the typical new owner who leases for three years will actually end up paying just $160 for the option, vs the old $300 option. But BMW now have a constant revenue stream for the life of that car. Seems like a petty BS money grab. Then again automakers have been charging northwards of $2000 for a $100 navigation system for years now. So there you go.
As a BMW employee, I watch this video and laugh. Apple Carplay as well as Android Auto come standard in all new 3 series. The connection issue to the iDrive unit is not the headunit itself, rather it is the persons phone. I had the same issues, just restart your device. There are many untruthful statements in this video.
Tesla model 3 has eroded the sales of BMW 3 series. A lot of Tesla owners I know were former BMW owners who were fed up with cost of operating the vehicle.
I rather go with Japanese cars, like accord. I think the issue with German car is to make the info system and those buttons more user friendly. I have been driving a C class for almost 3 years now, still have difficult times with those buttons. Also have a Honda Van, and the interior layout is very easy and make sense.
My current car is a Mercedes 300C Coupe. Before that, a BMW 128 Convertible. My next car will have Android Auto, which means that BMW is not in my foreseeable future. I really dislike stupidity.

These Euro luxury cars are only worth getting on lease, once the lease period expires that is when the car starts to fall apart.

This car as equipped is at $59k. At that point you’re in 540i territory and is a lot more fun to drive.
A lot of fully equipped economy cars have almost as many features for almost half the price.
