Ah yes, the Dunmer. This was the first race I ever played as on Oblivion. My most recent class is called the Pyrolyte, he is a fighter that focuses on fire spells (both close and ranged), as well as proficiency with both blade and bow. Major Skills: Destruction, Blade, Marksman, Light Armour, Sneak, Hand-to-Hand, Athletics Minor Skills: Alchemy, Armourer, Restoration Birthsign: The Steed (gives a starting speed stat of 75)
I feel like fire is always a main combat skill. Mainly because you start with fire, so why not get a weakness to fire spell instead of an expensive slightly higher damage one
''Dark Elves are weird.'' ''By the way, do you happen to know what the fine is for Necrophilia on Cyrodill? Just asking.'' ''Is it the first offense?'' ''Let's assume.. no.'' ''Then it's at least 500 gold.'' ''That's nothing compared to Morrowind, thanks!'' (The scariest thing is how the hell does your character know the fine?)
I always enjoyed playing a dark elf in Oblivion: it allowed me to change up my combat style if I ever got bored and I could switch between archery, spell casting, and sword-fighting whenever.
Why the hell did they take out the ability to use a spell with sword and shield in Skyrim? And take out short sword, and longswords? God come on Bethesda
Well, an Archer that uses sneak is the most OP build in the game. Like, zero questions. So, to make it interesting, and not boring, pick a magic skill and melee combat skill, and force yourself to keep them all within 5 levels of each other.
I find that the dark elf can be used the middle ground Character for elf's just like imperials are for humans if you build them right because their will be a few differences plus I prefer dark elf's over imperials as I find playing as an imperial in oblivion is a bit boring if you play as an imperial everyone bows and scrapes to you but play something like a dark elf or Breton you get racists comments thrown at you
Playing a dark elf character has had to have been...one of the worst experiences of my life, I tried to make him a battlemage, heavy armor, blade, block, and several magic schools, yet no matter what my character acted as if he was made of goddamn troll fat, it was almost as if trying to fall over with every blow, I tried to save the build, but it was doomed from the start. he made a good wizard, but I had already sunken so much into combat stuff and my magicka pool was too small. not to mention my character ate attacks like the uderfrykte ate svenja snow-song, and my HP depleted faster than faelion's skooma vial, I just have no idea why it was so...BAD, Nord battlemage? did pretty alright, High elf battlemage? (with light armor) goddamn fantastic, I just have no idea what I did wrong (this comment may be a bit back and fourth, I 7 goddamn hours and stood up all night trying to save that character)
Its Oblivions level scaling system. Basically, nord or high elf battlemage is meta, so you do okay. Dark elves are too all over the place and the game ends up accidentally penalizing you for it, because you cant keep up with level scaling
First of all, let me point this out...Breton is the strongest race in the game and its a FACT... followed by orcs. Dunmer(only male is worth) aint bad nor good, they are mediocre. This build is more focused on lore/roleplaying rather than being straight up "for noobs" aka really strong.

Oh wow, yeah, how do they know the fine?
@@PacifictheCasualGamer Maybe that's how your character got in jail on the beggining of the game!

I do like that about them

You remind me of The Cantina, he makes Oblivion videos as well.
I've seen a few of his videos
What about the 2 attributes?
Did I add them?

Lol I picked Dark Elf - Warrior - Sorcerer
I need some advise mate
That's a pretty good setup. Expect to be slow until the end of the game, and make sure you use more than just destruction magic
@@PacifictheCasualGamer I also got the Ebony Armour of Umbra, I can barely move with that equipped, What should I do to Move faster with Heavy armour?
@@insaneasylum4845 if you’re playing a dark elf light armor is recommended
@@andrewvigil2448 you know the thing is I finished the game + DLCs and im sad now :(

I think a dark elf should be a mage in amber armor but what ever
Thatd be pretty cool
pick the lord imo
I dont like it because its ability doesnt help you late game as much as others

It's a dark elf noob, I can see roleplay, but if they want a dark elf, there.
Bit late
Late on TH-cam doesn't exist.
Pacific the Casual Gamer your absolutely right
