UPDATE*** Surgery successful! Doing well. Thank you for your prayers. *** Not the most fun weekend coming up. My husband of 50 years is having knee replacement surgery tomorrow. He is almost 72 and a diabetic with high protein so they are even having a Nephrologist in the operating room. So! Please say a prayer for Wilbert for successful surgery and quick recovery.

Hello Gina Young, I was Not a fan of over cooked bbq ribs(charcoal grilled only)until I tried them "Gina Young Style", well........I would like you to know from now on I will cook them "Gina Young Style"!!! Beef bouillon powder! I’m going to try that next time.. I usually put soy sauce in it but I think the beef bouillon will do the trick and never thought about the “maters”. Lol...yum!!!!!

I love liver. At the open market where I live in Maryland, they sell deep fried chicken liver. They fry it like chicken and serve it with potatoes wedges... sooo good with hot sauce lol

With mashed potatoes with some of the gravy on them, blackeye peas and homemade biscuits. I would be in heaven. Your added spices with your chicken livers and gravy with onions and mushrooms are making me hungry. Shoot, add some macaroni and cheese as well. Boy, I am starving for this meal. Gina, you have really changed my cooking habits for the better. You took my fear of too many spices, to me cutting back on salt because of the spices and my food is doggone good!!!
The first time I had them was at a flea market and they had a booth. I was 8 or 9yrs old and they were breaded and deep fried crispy. I liked them with ketchup! Later when I got older I lived by a restaurant and got them covered with hot sauce. But I'm trying your recipe tonight. Love liver!

Hi Gina, thanks for taking me back in time, my parents had four children and I was the only child who would eat and love my mom's liver and rice dish. My siblings didn't care for it at all even though my mom was the best cook in all the world to us, my siblings still shied away but not me I love love love liver and rice with gravy and peas. Yes Gina I have had both beef liver and chicken liver, it's also my birthmark ( even though I didn't like liver of any kind as a young child, I eat it now though).
