For anyone struggling with the furnace golems and reading comments, just stay close under them, and constantly rotate around their feet to their back. If you do that there are literally only 2 moves that can hit you, the stomp, and the jump stomp. With the stomp, just jump over the flame, when it jumps you have to run away outside of its explosion aoe, then jump the flame, but unless you are constantly running yourself out of stamina, you should always have time to do that. Oh, and if they fall so the crit spot is out of reach, just throw one of the large fire pots into their head for similar damage.

I’m pretty sure you can throw pots into their furnace heads from above and deal enormous damage, I’m fairly sure that’s how they were intended to be fought BUT I have not played the DLC so I don’t know I just watched a video. If you want confirmation look it up or something
The only one that pissed me off was the one in the lake beneath Shadow Keep because I couldn’t consistently lure him to the building. The others are easily beaten with the giant jars
@@fernandofaria2872yea those are mimic bosses. The way they wqnt you to beat them is to get to high ground and launch fire pots at his furnace. The mesmer ones do extra damage.

@vicocloutier9607 Yeah, but it doesn't matter much after the first few minutes with nothing in it. I spent a while exploring (trying to find the legacy dungeon), and was bored pretty much the whole time.

Not every area has to be filled with loots and stuff, this one was just a spooky walk in the dark forest with nothing but madness and scary mobs ! It's like 5 straight minutes of R1, R1, jump, rinse, repeat. Love their design, but they're easily the worse part of the DLC. The fact there's like 6 of them is stupid.
It's actually way easier to fight furnace golems on Torent because you can just double jump over the stomps and as long as you stay behind him, he'll pretty much never swing his arms down at you. The double stomp explosion is pretty easy to jump over too as long as you're outside the radius. You just have to jump over the fire shockwave.

I seem to remember people complaining about the Erdtree Avatars on the release of the base game for being too repetative. I think whoever designed them took that personally, and hence, we got the Furnace Golems as their Crystal Tear replacement: repetative AND long as hell lol
At least Erdtree Avatars are somewhat fun to fight. They're really easy to dodge and it's so satisfying to no-hit them. They don't take too long to kill either if you incorporate fire into your build. The only real problem with them is just how many there are, but even then they are spread across the whole game. The furnace golems are straight up not fun to fight. They do insanely high damage, are extremely tanky, and all their moves are boring or annoying to dodge
for future play throughs you can jump the individual stomp flame from the furnace XD it's much more forgiving. But I guess that wouldn't be cool enough for Sauron

Zanny, I don't know if you will see this comment, nor do I know if you even like boomer shooters like doom, but the game metal: hellsinger is really fun and has a great soundtrack. Might be a good game to do maybe one or two videos on, though I am not the TH-cam man, so I do not know. If you have already played the game then I guess I am not a real fan for not watching it. If you are not a boomer shooter fan, then I would also recommend vermintide 2 or darktide to play with friends. They are games like left for dead but way mor e nerdy since they are based in the warhammer universe. Both games use melee combat to fight most of the time. Vermintide 2 uses melee more than Darktide.
The disappointing thing about the furnace golems is they're actually stance broken by number of hits, not stance damage, so those Charged Cragblade Colossal Weapons with the Stonebarb Cracked Tear I was using did not benefit me at all.
You'd have a much easier time with the fire dudes if you simply used Torrent instead. But logical thinking is something you normies lack im well aware.
i recommend fighting these colossal enemies with the horse. you get a lot of i frames from getting on/off horse. especially furnace golem is free with the horses double jump.

you can also just fight them on horse. Makes jumping the attacks easier and worked pretty well for me.
You have to riposte them before you can throw pots in their head
The Golems stay down for enough time for you to run from one side to the other.

furnace golems are easy that was the very first thing I killed in the DLC. Just stay on horse, stay between feet, and just jump when he slams them.
Get off Torrent and "jump", that's it. Those mobs are easy.

Fight the golems on torrent, makes it way easier and you can actually dodge all the attacks by just jumping over the fire

If you need try to fight the furnace golems on horseback it makes the dodging stomps easier
