Do you think we are heartless ? Some people are, but not the people who love you and who are following your videos.! We understand your pain. I lost three rescued cats within 6 months. I have 5 left, all handicapped . It was devastating. Love 🇧🇪
@@joellefelix1926 When you suffer & feel empathy for others’ suffering you ALSO feel how heartless much of the world is. I imagine this intensifies for you too at intervals when suffering pushes past peace or joy. No one can stay in one set of feelings if we’re honest & connected with ourselves and others. He is talking about what still needs so much more care & work in the world. As Oprah used to say, if this description doesn’t fit you, we’re not talking about you. He’s talking about needs and how we can push for change with devotion WHILE we feel pain. Until the world lives in love, this is a key need
So glad Lee that you saw the larger picture of what you do. The work you do is so vital because what you say is so true, there are some really cruel people in this world and there are many people and animals that are suffering. Also grief affects everyone differently, you should not apologize for going through the grieving process. I think what you do is wonderful.
Most heartless people do have hearts, and they will just do what it takes to defend their hearts, even if that means breaking yours. But most people on this platform do feel your pain, we are not heartless or judgemental, as many of us did experience tremendous pain and loss in the past. To me Heartless is a label that is too often wrongly given to someone who is rational by someone who is emotional. We do care about you, as you, young man, are an amazing honest, caring, devoted, courageous person who could openly express your inner pain and worries, which many of us would keep it bottled up. I hope you will get the strength to continue saving animals. Where there is no struggle there is no strength, dear Lee. I have learnt that life doesn't get easier or more forgiving to our struggles and pain, but it makes you stronger and more resilient. Hope you get the message! A very honest one! Hugs 🥀💞🫶 from🇭🇺xx
❤OMG my deepest sincerest condolences!!!! You gave her the best life!!!! I understand the pain you are going thru. There are no words. I am sending you healing light and wonderful energy!
God uses all things for Good😢😊 Yes some people will hear that this is sad, but That little soul was blessed to spend that time with you and those other dogs in the house❤
Thank you for posting this, my cat is in the process of passing away, he needs to care round the clock, we feed him, and hydrate him with medicine droppers, we place him in his litter and groom him. At the same time I'm a struggling nursing student. This is one of the most difficult times of my life. It seems stress mounts from all around even financial. I appreciate your posting part of the reality of owning a pet, end of life isn't easy for people or humans, family is family, loosing a loved one while the world continues to turn definitely has it's teaching moments within the heartache.
Mauve’s last memory would have been that lovely pack walk with her friends and her beloved dad. Instead of living her life in miserable conditions as a ‘thing’ that produced a commodity, she was loved and her life mattered. She lived her best life with you Lee, and she left this earth on her terms doing what she loved, surrounded by her family. You gave her that. Thank you.
The people around us judged us, even laughed at us, because my husband and I were completely devastated every time we lost one of our babies. Finally, my beloved husband also died. the only one who has been by my side since then, the only reason to get up in the morning is my Bhoomi Boy.He is my sun and my moon, my light in this dark time. Your loss and pain cannot be described in words. you will sometimes feel, smell and hear them when you come to rest. They are not completely gone, just no longer visible. Please take care of you .🙏🏻💔❤️
Ani, there’s no excuse for people laughing at your devastation on the loss of any of your babies. Those people should not be in your life. How dare they. 😔 Give a smooch to your Bhoomi Boy from me, and take care. ❤️💐
Love never ends when we love with all our hearts, and pain also never ends when we lose a loved one. No other dog will replace the one that we lost...it will always be there in our memory... I lost three over the years, and I could never forget them despite having three beautiful , loyal dogs now. I treasure the time spent with them, as they were very precious. All puppies are unique with different characters, therefore they cannot be compared to any other puppy. Maeve was unique to Lee, so the pain is deep right now, but it will ease, as he will have new ones to love and care for. He cannot give up, animals do need him forever and a day! It made my day quite sad, as it brings back my own pain and mourning...we all go through such hard times, but compassion and understanding may help Lee to get through this mourning period. With so many dogs he cares for there will be more such unexpected deaths. Lee needs to be prepared for such sad events. It will be inevitable with such a large pack. I do feel the pain, and I feel really sorry for this rough time Lee has to go through. 😥😭💔😥😭💔🫂🐾🐾
Lee: One thing I know for sure: Maeve would not want you to suffer, she would want you to remember her in joy, and to be energized to keep moving forward. She would want you to be there for others like her. All best wishes to you.
Maeve is saying to you, "You rescued me and there are so many of my friends that you can save. You loved me and gave me a new life that I never thought I would have. Can you do that for one of my friends."
You might not be able to change the world, but you changed her world. She brought you joy and happiness and you did the same for her. Blessings are real.
I cannot tell you how sorry I am for Maeve’s passing. What you do in saving these innocent souls and showing them abundant love is a miracle. May your memories of her give you peace💖
Your love and devotion to dogs is admirable, and I know how precious each member of your pack is to you. The loss of a faithful companion is a painful ordeal that leaves an immense void in our hearts. We are all with you.
11:38 Thank you for all your love of animals . You are amazing. God sent you to this life to save the animals. That is my belief!!! Love you and your puppies!!!
I truly feel your pain Lee the second I saw her I wished I was in a position I could adopt her I've loved her dearly looking out for her in every video. While I weep with you I'm beyond pleased to hear you vehemently promise to continue your mission. I will pray the universe continues to give you all that you need to be fulfilled in this endeavour. Please if you have time give TomTom a hug from me. Moosha TomTom 😘. Blessings Lee to you the dogs n all your team. D💜
I feel your pain, Dear. It is so very sad. The pain is so real & hurts so deeply. You will be Okay I promise. You will never forget your daughter, but it will get better. Way to go. Your thoughts are where it should be. Life never changes. You are healing, already. God be with you. I'm praying for you too. I love you. Keep up the good work.
You don't have need to apologize. Loosing a sweet girl like Maeve (my nickname 😢) is worse than losing a human. I say that because dogs have no real voice to warn us. Sometimes, when they are close to leaving us, it's too late. TOO LATE! And yet, we feel as if we did something wrong wrong or missed something. We beat ourselves up and can barely be around people who, as you said concentrate on the minutia of life. And, I don't know if you've ever lost a human family member, but I lost 4 - 3 in 23 mos. and one December of 2021. But, I didn't cry as hard or as long as my Jake 2 mos. ago. I will pray often for you. Know that her Creator has her and she will be there when you get there ❤😊
Lee, you saved Maeve!!! You loved her and she loved you!!! You saved her and gave her the best life! That’s incredible and she and you were blessed to have each other! You are a beautiful, loving, compassionate human being. Thank you. Keep going!
My husband, when we lost our Kaiser, was physically ill for days. I've never seen a human so connected to a dog and I've never seen a man grieve like that. Maeve would be so proud of you, just so proud. She was loved, you are loved, and I'm wishing you so much peace and serenity right now.
My brother and his family have a mixed breed rescue who has been the recipient of much affection, inclusion, and adventure, and he is now showing signs of old age and the maladies that go along with it. I'm so concerned about what the family will deal with at his eventual passing. My bro and this dog and so tuned into each other and do everything together, and have daily routines that are heartwarming. I fear the grief they will experience will be overwhelming for all of them. My condolences to your family.
I'm sure Maeve did not have any fear when she died....she went directly to paradise, firmly held in the arms of the angels of love, who carried her sweet soul to heaven. Now she's waiting for Daddy on the Rainbow Bridge, happy and dancing with utter joy!
My dear friend, I remember when you introduced us to Maeve... I had a pit in my stomach for days after her story, and I can feel your broken heart, you may not have been able to say good bye, but Maeve's very last moments were spent feeling the ground beneath her paws, smelling the air, being with the pack and you! You gave her a life she would have never known. The loss is difficult, but Maeve will live on in your heart. Look out in the distance on your next pack walk, you will see lil Maeve just over the horizon. Run free lil Maeve... 😥 ❤️🐾
Although your time together was short, Maeve knew she was YOUR girl. You returned her to health after she was used for breeding, you slept with her, gave her endless kisses, took her on a daddy/daughter vacation and daily pack walks. She KNEW she was finally loved! This is what you were meant to do.... We're all grieving Maeve's loss with you❤
You said everything I was wanting to say so much better than I could’ve said it. 💕 We are all feeling the heartbreaking loss of little Maeve and words are hard to come by. Thank you!
Dear Lee My deepest sympathy on the loss of Maeve. Such a beautiful little soul. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts & prayers. Take care.😥❤️🙏🌈🐾
My deepest sympathy and condolences to you on this loss that is of such a huge magnitude. Your deep pain is so evident, and my heart breaks for you. Maeve was blessed to have you as a dad! ( As are all of your rescue animals!). In addition, thank you for the powerful message you sent in your video. Even though the pain felt unbearable, you didn’t allow the pain to stop you from your mission. And during that time you rescued Rain and Miri! Thank you for encouraging your viewers to “carry on”. You are a beautiful soul, and I pray you will find continued strength and comfort. Thank you and your team for all you do for these animals and for sharing these wonderful videos.
Sending Lee lots of love, he has such a beautiful heart ❤️. His connection and dedication to his animals really resonates with me on a spiritual level. What he gives these animals is love, life, and true family. My thoughts and prayers are with Lee and his wonderful animals 🙏🏾💗, he is following his calling, the animals are so fortunate to have him. I agree, We must use our pain to end pain.
Us humans dont realise how lucky we are to share this planet with such beautiful beings as dogs. We have two canine sons and one canine daughter and they are our joy. God bless you and your canine family . A politician here in the UK said once "god's biggest mistake was not letting dogs live as long as humans". He was right but that said we are still so fortunate to have them. Keep going for these beautiful beings.
Maeve wouldn't want you to stop your mission of rescuing dogs. Her love & devotion to you was a testament to how you loved her & all of your other rescues. Maeve was my favorite too. I have two Frenchies & my heart is broken for you. Love & prayers to you Lee 🙏🐶♥️
Oh, Lee, my heart breaks for you. It's never, never, never easy to mourn the loss of our loved ones. When I remember Maeve, it will be of her smiling face as she ran with the pack. She was so happy at Asher House. ❤ Thank you for giving her such happiness in her final days.
This guy’s drive to help animals is unmatchable, worst thing happened to him and yet he keeps walking on doing what he love - saving animals. Like a medieval soldier with shield up walking on his path while arrows are being showered on him lol It only goes to show how much he LOVE saving animals. Maeve will rest in better place now and watch down on his hooman saving her furreinds
Thank you Lee! I saw this and tried so hard not to cry in Starbucks. Michael and I have rescued cats off our paper route. One rescue was my Castiel. She was my daughter, my bestie and the best daughter. Shortly after she passed away, an adorable black and white kitty named Pumpkin was abandoned by her owner. After weeks of leaving food out, she became my daughter. I thought I couldn't do it again but I did. Pumpkin is my daughter. Many hugs from me and my kids to you. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Lee. You have no idea HOW MUCH YOUR WORDS HAVE affected me today. I am sitting here bawling.....bawling for your pain, but crying more because you are so right Lee! In one week I have been tested so much! Your words have penetrated my soul. Lee, I WILL USE MY ALL OF MY NEGATIVE TO DO POSITIVE, I WILL. Thank you for being the voice I needed to hear today. You and you alone have gotten through to me today Lee. Again, thank you....we love you Lee.....as does Maeve 🤘❤
In 1990 I was diagnosed with M.S. and other stuff. I don't know where it comes from, but from the beginning I said "It isn't going to get me"! I'm 75 yrs old now and I'm still saying the same thing. I choose to get angry at the FMS and think about all of the wonderful things in my life I do have, my family, friends and of course my rescues. Lee is so right, put your pain to good use.
I'm so truly sorry for your loss of Maeve she was a beautiful furbabies, not sure how long she was with you but I'm positive those weeks, months, years were her best with her forever daddy and all her furbaby brothers and sisters, my heart goes to you all. Maeve has made you a stronger person and I'm so glad you are using that strength to carry on. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Lee from the depths of my soul, being, and constant search for connection with those more evolved spiritual beings having the human experience in this world. You are truly such a beautiful blessing to me personally as well as those who love you, feel you, hear your voice and are changed by your singular Tao and dharma and brave heartedness in sharing the lessons we so desperately need to become a more awakened to the meaning of the life we are meant to participate in with love, compassion, empathy, non judgmental kindness and healing regardless of the unavoidable circumstances we may find ourselves in. So often I feel as though I will die from the pain and suffering I see and feel around me when I have run out of resources to help resolve. Please know that you never need to beg forgiveness for anything you never needed permission from anyone to begin with. You are such a beautiful blessing to all whose lives you touch and influence on the deepest levels of truth. I know and appreciate the love and depths of unmatched grief when physically separated from the loves and reasons of life… Trust me when I say that you will see her over the next while… out of the corner of your eye, in your peripheral vision… a tail going around the corner when you’re concentrating on the task in front of you, the sensation of her weight and warmth settling in next to you, the tapping of her toenails in the bathroom… Their spirits remain with us until they know you are ready to go on. She’s not gone, she’s just out of your sight momentarily as well as Tony and River and her pack on the other side of the veil of what we perceive! Much love and prayers and support from Me and my conjoined boy Bo , the reason why I go on!
I admire you so much! Sending you love & light! Yes!! Turn your pain into purpose! I myself have rescued a Frenchie who has changed my life. Bless you all! So very sorry for your loss! This world needs more Lee Ashers!
Maeve’s crossing over that way was her way of saying I’m free. She crossed over running free with the pack, enjoying what she deserves. She crossed over free and happy. That was her way of saying Thank you for all the love and care. I know how it feels. There will always be sufferings. Keep doing what you’re doing. Maeve is with Roo and the others happy and watching over you all ❤️🌈🦋. Emma
I can’t listen it hurts me so and I hurt for you. Same story here only my baby poodle has been gone from me since last August. She was my life. never get over this. Take care❤
Lee, please don't say you're sorry. Your feelings and emotions are what make you so special. I've been ill with numerous medical problems, and I started falling down the rabbit hole again last night. When I woke up this morning, I cried when I saw the sad news about Maeve, but you told me to stay focused, and reminded me there are so many others in this world who are in pain. You have helped me to move forward. Love you!❤
Oh Lee.... there are no words to describe the man that you are. The true epitome of a human who cares, loves and nurtures those who cannot speak for themselves. All of your babies know that they are loved, secure and forever home. Our hearts are with you 💔💔💙💙💙💙💙
15:55 Lee, I am so sorry about your great loss. You gave Maeve a second chance and she added much to your life. Every loss is painful, and yet we go on doing the loving things that we do for others. I am glad that Maeve did not suffer a long illness, although a sudden death is a terrible shock to loved ones. Continue to be your generous and caring self, and allow others to care for you. Your dogs need you; the world needs you. You set an example for others to follow. F
That was a signal that life goes on. Your grief, your pain, your loss don’t impede the hands of time. Allow yourself the pain. Cry your tears, miss your baby… but please don’t stop being an angel. Don’t stop your work. Please keep rescuing those poor little souls, waiting to be saved. You’ll always remember Your Maeve, the special bond you shared… but don’t lose your joy, the love in your heart and the drive to make a difference. Blessings to you and your dedication.
Thank you for being a part of MY life, Lee. I'm stunned at the gravity of your message. It will take a while to absorb. I wish you and everyone reading this peace, grace, strength and love. 🕊❤️
Oh, Maeve!💔 We loved her SO much. She was so beloved and cherished. We adored her. Thank you, Lee, for loving her so much, and giving her such devotion after she was thrown away so cruelly. You are such a wonderful dad and such a gift to all of them. Maeve knew how much you loved her.
I'm so sorry. Losing a fur baby is harder than anything in this world. I never knew it was going to be that hard. I too feel your pain.😢. You're an awesome man and I thank you for all you do❤
My heart is broken for you, Lee. I am soo incredibly sorry for your loss. May Maeve rest in eternal puppy peace. She will be leading the pack to greet you at The Rainbow Bridge.
I’m so sorry for your loss of your great love, Maeve. Thank you so much for making this video, and for the choice you made to turn a horrible thing into drive and ambition to continue doing good. When I lost Kai, the love of my life, I let it destroy me. I was shattered and I gave up. Thank God above He had a different plan for me. Now two and a half years sober I, too, am seeking ways to help all other living creatures-working with veterans and hopefully rescuing an occasional elderly pet here and there (as my heart allows). Thank you for the reminder that it will not get easier just because we make the decision to forge ahead. But as long as we focus on helping and rescuing…it will all be worth it in the end. We will see our beloveds again, and I cannot wait for that day whenever it may be.
I completely understand, I'm currently grieving the loss of my prescious almost 13 year old German Shepherd. My boy Jake got me through the death of my parents and was always there when i would come home from work after nightmarish 12 hour shifts. My heart aches with every beat of my broken heart. I miss him so much it literally hurts to breathe. I'm so heartbroken. Jake, I love and miss you to the depth of my broken soul, I miss your cuddles, your love and your sweetness.
Oh Lee; I’m heart broken for you. I know Maeve, Tony and all your lost grateful babies are always with you in spirit. You were such a blessing as they were to you. Thank you for sharing your excruciating news with us; we love you. 💙
Lee & Asher House, The news of Maeve's passing is heartbreaking! We are crying with you over the loss and helpless feelings that come with losing our precious wonderful fur babies! Your loving heart and sacrifice to rescue animals in need of loving homes is a beautiful example to the world. Yes, you will see your babies again!! What a joyful reunion that will be!! Hold space for your feelings, give yourselves time. Know that we love Maeve. We love you, all of you, working so diligently to make Asher House and its mission grow & thrive! Big Hugs!!! Take care. Thank you for sharing your pain with us! Namaste. ❤😢❤
My thoughts exactly! What you do is incredibly difficult and takes a special person. You are that person, Lee. When you lose a dog, that dog died knowing they were loved and that's what's important. No animal should die in a cage or on the street. You make all the difference to these animals. They die happy! That, to me, is the mission. I will always have a dog. Wish I could have more than one, but can't where I live. There is always another one waiting for me. I will continue follow your example and love my dogs like my children. That's what you're doing, Lee. You ARE making a difference to many people and animals.
THIS!! This right here is why so many love and support you... it's not just your passion... it's not just your sincerity... it's not just your love for animals... it's your BURDEN for the thousands and thousands of suffering innocents out there. That absolute burden for a cause that seems beyond any grasp we can hope to have. You generate that burden into action, into sacrifice, into inspiration, Lee... and WE are all better because of it! You're saving lives you don't even know about. I promise you that! 💯 God bless you in your grief and your purpose, always 🙏🏼💖
Well said. Thank you so much, you said the very words that were in my heart, the words I couldn't find. God Bless and Bless you, and God Bless Lee and the entire Asher House community. May God always protect, guide, and lead us all to doing our best at what we are called to do and be. And may we NEVER give up ...
I love you Lee, and the love you have for animals. I have felt the same darkness, after losing my pets, but i never forget them, and remember all their best moments with me. but as you say, we must continue, as there are so many like maeve who need your help. I jusst wish I could help you. I am 74 and would love to work with you, but lack the energy now, but I make it my priority to help all stray animals in my area of south west france, and I never leave an animal that needs help
Thank you Lee.... Just what I needed to hear.... I asked Denver to hang with her... He was...is...my love bug life partner.. Being in vet medicine for decades, I've rescued all my babies and....watched them, helped them pass. I've saddled all my relatives with rescues from clinics that turned into their life partners.. I shed tears with you, and find strength so bless you, thank you, and we can meet at that Rainbow Bridge. It's going to be massive. Bring treats ❤️🐕❤️
What a beautiful person you are. You are a blessing to all your animals and to all the people around you. My prayers are with you. May you be blessed with health and happiness forever ❤❤❤❤
You have a dear empathic heart Lee, all your animals are drawn to you because of that fact, including your human followers. Thank you for your amazing message of love ❤️🇬🇧❤️🐶😘😘
You are a very special man when I lost my special Sadie I knew nothing would ever be the same again and it would always hurt but you are right we learn how to get through it I'm a lady on here said that animals are drawn to you because of your sympathetic heart.... But people are too drawn to you because of your kindness and love for animals..... I'm so glad there are people like you on the same planet as me...
Dear Lee and the Asher House. I am so saddened to hear the news of Maeve passing. Every animal I have lost is never easy because they are our children. I will try to be positive and look at it as a message to continue rescuing and helping no matter what. God bless your humankindness 🐾🐾🙏
Dearest Lee, I know that I can’t say much other than I am very sorry that Mave passed. Her love will continue forever with the other dogs you rescue. You have a hard job but your rewards will be great. You give so much love and the animals give it back to you ten fold. Life is so unfair at times but we have to keep going in order to see all the gifts that come. You are remarkable and so is your work. Thank you for sharing your story and your passion. God be with you, your team and all the furry family. Many blessings.
The same God that gave you your power to love unconditionally is the same God that was giving Maeve comfort when she passed❤❤❤I’m sorry for your loss and TY for your insight in grief. You are God’s gift to all the world, especially animal lovers.❤❤❤❤❤
Ohhh Lee I’m so very very sorry, Maeve was a such a sweetheart. I wish we could take away the hurt and pain that you’re feeling on her sudden passing, what a shock. Maeve had the best life with you, she finally felt unconditional love with you and the pack. We’ll miss her little snores and snorts, my heart aches for you. I also believe we’ll meet our fur babies one day. I hope people really hear your message and treat animals so much better, they truly deserve it. Take care and stay strong Lee. Bye bye beautiful, sweet Maeve xxoo
Sir, I am so so sorry for the devastating loss. Truly from the bottom of my heart, my deepest condolences. Thank you for choosing to go on to do what you do and thank you for this incredibly important message. I will light a candle in Maeve’s memory today and give my foster an extra long walk and snuggle
Today, 1 year ago, my beloved Lab Gracie died of multiple myeloma. She was such a trooper who still enjoyed a full life, even during chemotherapy treatment. Today, I visited her favorite place to swim at the river, where she retrieved her ball till a week before her death. Dogs are our best friends. They are our family. I am so sorry about your awful pain. It hurts. We miss them so much. Thank you for transforming your pain into positivity by rescuing these awesome creatures. My heart hurts for you over losing Maeve. But I am also awfully proud of how you handle your grief❤
I'm so sad that Maeve passed away. She was a special girl. Hang in there. The other dogs need you. Bless you for all you're doing for animals. We support your mission. #RIPMaeve 😢
To Lee: I'm so sorry that you lost your beautiful daughter Maeve, it is the hardest and most awful thing to go through, especially being sudden. I know you have dealt with much loss but it doesn't change the pain that comes with each one. My sincerest condolences to you and the pack at this heart breaking time. To Maeve: Rest in peace beautiful angel. You are dearly loved and sorely missed. You have left such a massive void for such a small doggo! I hope you are living your best life over the rainbow bridge, running around and enjoying the beauty of heaven. You made a massive impact with your short time on this earth and I'm so glad we got to watch your rescue journey. Please watch over Lee and the pack and stay close to them so they know you are still around. We all love you and will miss your joyful enthusiasm for life and your beautiful nature 💔
Lee, I am so very sorry for your loss of Maeve. She was adorable. She will be with you forever. You are the second rescue person I follow who has lost a precious favourite dog recently. The other man - Viktor - lost his little dog Mia. Both of you are Warriors, both of you are still working hard and rescuing despite your pain. I understand the pain you talk about. It changes you. Your love for Maeve is inspiring. My love comes to you, all who knew Maeve and all the dogs who have lost a little friend. God Bless you all. 💜🙏🌈
I am so sorry for your loss. BUT I cannot thank you enough for all that you do. I have felt that pain. I lost my boy last year after him being constantly by my side for 16 years. He was a discarded pittie that was on his last day when I got him from the shelter. He was my bad boy who kept me on my toes. I loved him with all my heart. I wanted to die and go where he went but I have other dogs to be here for. As a rescuer, we cannot give in to our sadness. My heart breaks for you. I do know how you feel. Just remember, the dogs need you.
Lee, thank you for your honesty. I know it was tough to share. Thousands of us know your loss. Believe me, I know your pain. But the time you had was a gift, and Maeve knew your love for every second of her life. You are supported throughout the world.
Oh Lee I am so sorry about Maeve such a little sweetheart. Please take care of yourself and thank you for everything you do for the pups and us .My love to you and all at the Asher house❤❤❤❤
Lee and The Asher House, My deepest condolences. Your commitment to go on and rescue while your heart is broken is the greatest homage to Maeve. RIP Maeve and may your spirit live on in all dogs touched by Lee.❤
The pain you're feeling is drawn from your compassion Lee. Your love makes every one of your animals the very best gifts you've received to help and give hope to ❤❤❤
I've lost my best friend, my souldog in 2019 😢..my first own dog,a Golden Retriever named Murphy. I thought I would die in this moment 😢. I couldn't imagine one day without him..now it's 2023 and I'm still here and I still rescue huskies! I'm so proud of myself because of that! ❤
You never need to apologize to us for sharing this type of news! My heart breaks for all you're going through right now. She was such a beautiful dog. I'm amazed by all you do for those dogs. You're a good man and you're doing a great thing.
Three years ago today, I lost my beautiful GSD, Ziva, and losing her was the most gut-wrenching grief that I’ve ever gone through. You’re right Lee, the pain cannot be described. I can truly say that I know and understand your sorrow. After two weeks of constant crying, I told my husband that I needed to open my heart and help another dog. We rescued our Rafe and he’s part Australian Kelpie and GSD. Nothing will ever fill that empty spot in my heart that’s left for Ziva, but I have a huge amount of space left to love and nurture our Rafe. Thank you, Lee, for all that you do by giving life and love to your babies. I’m very, very sorry that your girl is not with you anymore in this life, but I know you feel her presence next to you always. 🩷 Terri, Northern California.
Maves foot prints will remain in your heart forever. Those of us who have been through the loss of a dear family pet member will know how painful it is. Take care Lee x
So very sorry for your loss!! I lost my 2 best friends six months apart. Venus was 19 and Hazel was 11. I still miss their beautiful faces! One of the things that helped was my daughter calling about 2 very sick dogs and 3 motherless 1 week old kittens. So I went and got them. Blu and Ranger are now healthy and ready for some road trips! The kittens are settling in and finally eating on their own! ❤ Prayers and Blessings for your organization!!
We animal lovers know this pain. REALLY sorry about Maeve. 💔 Still reeling from my last loss (Ritchie, gone Nov 22). My bestie, my boy. Hit me extra hard; but for caring for the rest of my critter crew, I wouldn't have had any reason to get out of bed. From my 1st dog when I was 6 to Rich when I was 60, each of them is with me always. All rescues. All fantastic. I'm better for having each one in my life. You are, too.
You are here to change the life of your rescues but also to acknowledge all of us that need to rescue ourselves so we can rescue others 🥰🤗 sending hugs as we stand stronger together 🇨🇦❤️
I'm so sorry, Lee. Wish I could reach through the computer screen and give you a hug. I know this pain from the loss of my own "daughter" dog. My solution was to rescue another baby. What you do comes with so much loss. It also comes with so much beauty and heart that the world really needs right now. The pain you feel is a measure of your love. You gave Maeve a second chance, and I am sure she felt your warmth. I hope you have people in your life who lift you up during times like these. ❤
Thanks for sharing this. I lost my beloved 12 year old blue nose in April. I was so broken. Then Lotus came into my life needing a home. I can’t believe the healing she has brought to me. I only hope to give her the truest live she’s ever known. Much love to you
I'm so sorry you lost your little Maeve. We lost a beloved dog in a similar way and it's truly heartbreaking. What helped us work through our grief and pain was a quote from Dr.Seuss. “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” Much love to you!
You are so right and correct! Nobody knows, but we will ALL go through loss. At different times, sometimes shocking, sometimes predictable. Maeve and all dogs are pure love. We must learn from them. It is the cycle of life, it is inevitable. It will hurt, be devastating, and pure hell. But, like our dogs, we must go on, and live in the moment and share moments of bliss and joy. Like our beloved dogs. We owe it to our babies. ❤🙏🏽
I’m so very sorry, Lee. Thank you for sharing with us. Losing one of our babies is like losing a part of your soul. I know it hurts that you weren’t with her but she absolutely knew you loved her. She knew love and happiness and warmth and family because of you and she definitely knew it was her daddy that gave her those things. Thank you for your love and kindness and strength and most of all, your inspiring words. We all love you too. ❤
I’m so very sorry, Lee, for your loss of Maeve. I’m so very glad she had you for her Dad for the time she did. She was a happy girl, and knew she was loved. ❤ Please be at peace with yourself.
Oh Lee. 😢 You truely are an Angle Gentle Giant. I am so saddened and sorry for your loss. Bless your dear daughter, Maeve. Matilda is so sensative that she felt your loss. Yes you have been blessed with so much love from so many lovely dogs, that when they go to the other side....you will feel each loss. I had that pain with ALL of my rescue bunnies. You are SO LOVED LEE. Please feel my heartfelt empathy and love. Bless your big heart. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😢
Thank you for giving Maeve the life she deserved-loving, caring, and companionship. She passed knowing she was so loved. Don't be so hard on yourself. You give so much to so many animals, Lee. I wish you peace and love as you move forward.
Dear Lee, condoleances on losing Maeve. In November my dog Elmo collapsed while he was eating. Three hours later he died of an bursted aneurysma. Because the sudden death and he was my shadow for 12 years, I couldn’ bring myself to enjoy anything for months. The hurt is so hard and real. He was my mate, always with me, I miss him so much. I hear him still. My heart goes out to you, I know how you feel. Lots of love and healing. 🙏🏻❤️
Thank you for having Elmo in your life. Just try to remember the love and joy you shared. Such a caring person as yourself just might consider giving another dog a chance to love you.
❤ Lee, sorry for your sudden loss. Must be important for Maeve too for you to keep on. Just because we are sad it doesn’t mean it will get easier around, and we still have to stay focused. Perhaps Matilda was picking up on your pain and trying to both distract and keep you focused. So troubles are even more a reason to move forward, to not reverse. Thank you for giving us some more awareness and advice: “Use your pain to end pain”.
Dear Dear Lee and all others at Asher House…I’m deeply sorry for the loss of Maeve…she was such a force and In everything…as for Matilda she was just letting you know you have more work ahead of you …and nothing stops and others depends on you! Keeping you on your toes!!!! Thank you so much
stay strong Asher! We lost our dogs recently as well, it was basically the end of the world to us but life goes on. Now we rescued 2 street dogs from India, that brought light back to our existence, and moved forward. Stay Strong!
I feel your pain my friend. I have been rescuing all my life. It never ever gets easier. I just lost my 18 month old boerboel puppy to cluster seizures. I am devastated. But I refuse to let this hurt stop me from rescuing any dog, puppy or any animal in need. I am so sorry for your loss and I am grieving with you! Our rescues want us to continue! Love, hugs and prayers to you ❤
She passed away doing what she absolutely loves with who she absolutely loves. We can hope that is how we all pass away. You have given her an absolutely loved filled life.
Maeve was the sweet mama we all wanted in our lives. She was my favorite too 🥺 I always looked for her in videos. I could feel her love spill through the screen
Warm hugs to you! My very best friend passed over 6 months ago and I fell into such a deep depression. Recently, a friend reached out to me to take care of his elderly dog for a couple weeks. And now, I’m so ready to have a dog in my life again! Now, I want to Foster as many dogs that I can and I’m sure that I’ll find “my dog”. ❤️
The slight warmth that you feel is the hugs that are coming for you from all of us. We have all felt it. It is a tribute to Maeve and all of your other rescues that you continue on this path. Stay strong - remote hug from me, and my pups.
First off , I want to tell you how very sorry I am for your loss! I do understand 😢 I also have had many dogs/friends over the years but my Beautiful little girl Ellie Mae grabbed my heart like no other ! Unfortunately I lost her suddenly a few months ago! Yes It is hard to not have her by my side ! But she will Always be in my heart !💗. You have such a beautiful kind soul ! I want to thank you so much for everything you do! You are Amazing! So sorry for the loss of your sweet precious Maeve ! Sending love and prayers!🙏💕😢
No greater tribute to Maeve or any of our pups than to turn grief into new acts of love.
Awwwwww😱😱😱😭😭😭😭🥺😩 I’m so so so sorry friend.. ugh … lessons n blessins xoxoxox🌈💔❤️🩹🙏🙏🙏🙏🛐😊
Thank you for showing Maeve that she was valued for more than just breeding.
I agree well said.
I agree well said.
Thank you.
Well said Mary ❤
That's beautiful Mary !❤
You are so right.
What do you have said is beautiful❤
Thank you Mary for putting into words what I was feeling 🙏🏻 RIP sweet beautiful Maeve.
Beautiful. So well stated.
Please take care of you .🙏🏻💔❤️
Get those people out of your life.. nothing funny at all about losing any life
❤
Ani, there’s no excuse for people laughing at your devastation on the loss of any of your babies. Those people should not be in your life. How dare they. 😔 Give a smooch to your Bhoomi Boy from me, and take care. ❤️💐
"Grief is the price we pay for love!" Condolences to you, your ppl and pups.. RIP sweet Maeve. 💕🐶
Spot on comment
So well said, the more love, the greater the pain. But, all the love is worth it!
That’s one of my “favourite” sayings. Thank you for commenting that ❤
Love never ends when we love with all our hearts, and pain also never ends when we lose a loved one. 😥😭💔😥😭💔🫂🐾🐾
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Lee: One thing I know for sure: Maeve would not want you to suffer, she would want you to remember her in joy, and to be energized to keep moving forward. She would want you to be there for others like her. All best wishes to you.
Amen!
She left this world knowing she was very loved. You couldn't have given her a better gift or a better life. My deepest condolences.
Maeve is saying to you, "You rescued me and there are so many of my friends that you can save. You loved me and gave me a new life that I never thought I would have. Can you do that for one of my friends."
I'm tearing up.
You might not be able to change the world, but you changed her world. She brought you joy and happiness and you did the same for her. Blessings are real.
What a beautiful thing to say x
@@maewest4098 I just came here to write the exact same thing! It’s incredibly beautiful.
YES!!! SO PERFECT ! You Changed HER World! All of their world's, One Doggie At A Time! BLESS YOU!
I cannot tell you how sorry I am for Maeve’s passing. What you do in saving these innocent souls and showing them abundant love is a miracle. May your memories of her give you peace💖
So very sorry for you loss, Lee. Only animal lovers understand this deep sadness and loss you feel. Please take care, and allow yourself to heal.
"Use that pain to end pain." Beautiful.
Your ability to refocus at such a very hard time is inspirational. So much love flows to you💕
You don't have need to apologize.
Thank you. Keep going!
AMEN
May god give you strength to keep going
Bless you. I agree. Maeve flew on the wings of joyful angels.
@mickym3126 Your words are spot on, I agree completely with your very positive response here. Thank you! 🙏💚
Well Said 😢🌈🐶🙏🏽😭
Although your time together was short, Maeve knew she was YOUR girl. You returned her to health after she was used for breeding, you slept with her, gave her endless kisses, took her on a daddy/daughter vacation and daily pack walks. She KNEW she was finally loved! This is what you were meant to do.... We're all grieving Maeve's loss with you❤
your comment brought tears to my eyes..
You said everything I was wanting to say so much better than I could’ve said it. 💕 We are all feeling the heartbreaking loss of little Maeve and words are hard to come by. Thank you!
Dear Lee
My deepest sympathy on the loss of Maeve. Such a beautiful little soul. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts & prayers. Take care.😥❤️🙏🌈🐾
I can't stop crying for you. I have so much empathy for.....I've been there.
Love and prayers to you.
❤❤❤
So very sorry for your loss❤
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Losing a furbaby is such a profound loss.
Bless you , Lee. I didn't think I could carry on after my Sparky died, but I now have 4 rescued boys who have healed my broken heart ❤
I am so sorry for your loss. Sometime its harder to lose our fur babies than a human. That bond will always be there.
😢😢😢
I know and appreciate the love and depths of unmatched grief when physically separated from the loves and reasons of life…
Trust me when I say that you will see her over the next while… out of the corner of your eye, in your peripheral vision… a tail going around the corner when you’re concentrating on the task in front of you, the sensation of her weight and warmth settling in next to you, the tapping of her toenails in the bathroom…
Their spirits remain with us until they know you are ready to go on. She’s not gone, she’s just out of your sight momentarily as well as Tony and River and her pack on the other side of the veil of what we perceive!
Much love and prayers and support from Me and my conjoined boy Bo , the reason why I go on!
So very sorry to hear of Maeve's passing. She will be remembered with love❤
Emma
I lost my 19 year old toy poodle 6 weeks ago. The pain is indescribable. I don't want to go on without her. RIP Precious Maeve ❤️🐦
I’m so sorry.
😔te cuida desde donde está. Fuerza🙏
So sorry for your sad loss 😢😢
I can’t listen it hurts me so and I hurt for you. Same story here only my baby poodle has been gone from me since last August. She was my life. never get over this. Take care❤
😢🙏🏼🐶❤️🌈
Our hearts are with you 💔💔💙💙💙💙💙
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
15:55 Lee, I am so sorry about your great loss. You gave Maeve a second chance and she added much to your life. Every loss is painful, and yet we go on doing the loving things that we do for others. I am glad that Maeve did not suffer a long illness, although a sudden death is a terrible shock to loved ones. Continue to be your generous and caring self, and allow others to care for you. Your dogs need you; the world needs you. You set an example for others to follow.

Losing any of our fur babies is painful, but losing your souldog is indescribable. I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Maeve. ❤
You're an awesome man and I thank you for all you do❤
Oh, that day when we get to see them again!!! Thank you, Lee, for expressing what SOOOO many of us have felt.🥺
My heart is broken for you, Lee. I am soo incredibly sorry for your loss. May Maeve rest in eternal puppy peace. She will be leading the pack to greet you at The Rainbow Bridge.
💜
I’m so sorry Lee, my sincere condolences to you and the Asher family. 🙏🏾
Oh Lee. Am so very sorry about Maeve. She was a shining light to everyone.
Bless you my son by choice
So very sad and sorry for your loss.
How can I help so sorry to hear😮
So sorry to hear about Mauve but in your video, you said PomPom. I didn't know she had passed! She was so precious!
Lee, not one of your pets leave this earth feeling unloved! Not one! You are a hero...thank you for loving as you do.🧡
I'm so sorry for your loss. Actually, for our loss. Those who follow you and embrace your rescue suffer this loss as well. Mave will be deeply missed.
As I lay in bed with my beautiful dog, my tears are flowing for Maeve and your profound loss 😭
Lee & Asher House,
The news of Maeve's passing is heartbreaking!
Man, Lee, I'm so sorry. She seemed like such a great girl. The fact you've been so hurt by this just shows how much you love her. 💕
Do you have paypal???❤️🐕❤️
This is a demonstration of what it means to be truly human. Fully human. Love to you, Lee Asher.
My heart is breaking for you, Lee. She's a special soul and it was so obvious how much she adored you! Sending so much love your way.
“We must do our part to do good”, so beautifully said Lee.
I’m so sorry, she knew you loved her unconditionally. Take comfort in knowing all of her ailments are no longer ailing her and she is at peace 🌈
This is a Beautifully Said Comment - Thanks So Much - I Totally Agree With You
@@kimberlypotts3874 Thanks Kimberly. I speak from the heart always. My truth, always have, always will. God Bless you.
I’m so sorry, Lee. She was a beautiful spirit and she knew you loved her 💜
RIP precious Maeve. Thank you, Lee, and Asher House for all you do. Thank you for this powerful message, too. ❤
God Bless your sweet and good heart, Tammy.
Matilda, sounds like she was scared, because for the first time you were not okay. She felt your fear.and your pain 😢❤
Out of all the people in the world, you had her, and she had you. What a miracle. ❤
@nighthawk1428, I sincerely hope that Lee comes across these words. It is an undeniable truth and an absolute miracle. 😇🐶💜
AMEN - Such a Beautiful Comment - Thanks So Much - I totally Agree With You
I’m so very sorry, Lee, for your loss of Maeve.
I’m so sorry Lee. If love could keep them alive, they would never die. Rest in peace Maeve.
God has a special place in heaven for you. Thank you for all you do, you are truly loved ❤ Maeve is watching over you always!
Thank you for giving her the best life for the short time you had together. She will live on in your
Heart...
Dear Dear Lee and all others at Asher House…I’m deeply sorry for the loss of Maeve…she was such a force and In everything…as for Matilda she was just letting you know you have more work ahead of you …and nothing stops and others depends on you! Keeping you on your toes!!!! Thank you so much
Wonderful words!!
@@paulagolden1922how old was this sweet dog?
@@joannemurdock7899 About five and a half, I think.
stay strong Asher! We lost our dogs recently as well, it was basically the end of the world to us but life goes on. Now we rescued 2 street dogs from India, that brought light back to our existence, and moved forward. Stay Strong!
100% we can overcome our pain in order to be a lifesaver for another animal who desperately needs us ❤️
I feel your pain my friend. Love, hugs and prayers to you ❤
❤❤❤
hugs
God loves you. Thanks for helping the babies.
I'm so sorry 💔🌈
I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a puppy is one of the hardest hits
She passed away doing what she absolutely loves with who she absolutely loves. We can hope that is how we all pass away. You have given her an absolutely loved filled life.
Rest in peace Mave. You had a difficult start but you ended up with a beautiful loving family ❤
Stay strong.
Maeve was loved and she knew you loved her unconditionally. She was loyal to you because she was happy and knew how much you loved her. ❤️🐾🐾❤️.
Maeve was the sweet mama we all wanted in our lives. She was my favorite too 🥺 I always looked for her in videos. I could feel her love spill through the screen
You are my hero! Thank you for ALL you do. You've definitely earned your wings...
Oh Lee. I feel your hurt. Please focus on the happy memories. ❤
