Here I sit crying as I know what it’s like to be abused as a human, and for a precious furr baby to be neglected and abused is sooo much worse as they can’t talk. Lee, you and The Asher House was a true Godsend for Lucy. God love her, and here she goes again to yet another home, which looks like it’s right where she belongs. I can’t wait to see how she has flourished with her New Best Friend ( another Golden Retriever) and a loving couple. Thank you for sharing Lucy’s Story even though it makes us cry and yet end with a warmth in my heart. 😊

I guess maybe he did. But Lee managed to get the guy to let Lee keep Lucy. I have often wondered how much $$ Lee had to fork over in order to keep Lucy. Because while I have NO proof - and Lee himself has never said how exactly he got the owner to "capitulate" and let him keep Lucy - I feel confident that the guy saw a $$$ opportunity and took it. (After all, I think by then Lucy was already spayed, so she was worthless to this guy otherwise.) And I'm okay with that.
