Your General class helped me not only pass that exam, but understand the underlying concepts. I’m excited for Extra! Thank you for everything you gents do for the radio community.
I just found your videos. My arrl book came in today.. calculator scheduled to come in next Monday. I can't wait to keep studying and passing this test!!! I have sent you an email to be placed on the mailing list. I am also using Ham Radio Prep in conjunction with your training to study. I am a long covid victim in '21. I use every means necessary to "un-mush" my brain. I have brain fog so it takes more repetition to make things sink in and stick. And yes, "Brain Fog" is a real thing... thanks for all you do. .. Ok, I was not planning on jumping right into Extra, but I just took my General yesterday, when this came out (aced both tests). I guess I may be in for the ride.
On average, do you have any feedback on how long it take to complete this course? I'm planning on some UK travel and my US General license isn't going to work.
We teach a traditional class, meeting once a week for two hours over a sixteen week period. But many students have told me that they "binge watch" the videos in a much shorter period. We have not yet completed our first Extra Class with the 13th Edition Book and new Question Pool (Chapter 5 in this week). But students have watched our previous series with success with the current Question Pool. If time is of the essence I recommend Ham Test Online (www.hamradiolicenseexam.com/). It is not free. But it has a proven track record of success. You can watch our videos later to further understand the answers. 73 de W4EEY
All of the Question Pools (Technician, General and Extra) are updated by the NCVEC (ncvec.org/) every three years. ARRL is one of 14 members of the NCVEC. I'm glad the questions are updated. For the longest time the pools for General and Extra didn't even acknowledge the existence of FT-8, the most popular digital mode ever. 73 de W4EEY

@@W4EEY By the way, Gary, I've really enjoyed you as a teacher. Looking forward to the classes.

Figures the ARRL would have the question pool reduced. ARRL needs more members and wants to sell more books.

Sorry I couldn’t join tonight’s Zoom class but currently traveling. I’ll be on next week 😊 Rich KT4CKN
