ive adjusted my clutch to a lower biting point and just got my back working after 2 weeks of hell after doing a 500 mile round trip.going to get a lower lumber suport but dont tell the wife im nicking a settee cushion😊
The first thing I did was have the clutch adjusted, a very easy job and solve the problem. Get a brodit phone mount, it's custom for the car, mounts near the heater controls nothing like the generic options. Surprised how many bits You can squeeze under the floor around the inflator. Always use 0/20 oil it's worth 5mpg. I get an average of 65 mpg. I've got a little sensor cupboard light to give me a boot light thats rechargeable.
@@jamieaygo any mechanic can do it but if you want to take out the battery tray which is a straightforward job, it's a cable adjustment and all your trying to do is allow a little bit more cable FreePlay..loosen it
That's a good point! I tend to mount mine to the front windscreen but with all the vibrations and general lack of rigidity of the phone mount I use, it invariably ends in my phone tilting down towards the floor, which is far from ideal. I think I'm going to explore one of those dashboard + windscreen options, so look out for it in a future video.
Have a look at the Brodit car mounts. They do 2 for the Aygo, one custom fits on the front door pillar and the one I have fits on the side of the panel that has the hazard switch. I've had one for every car I've had, game changers. 👍🏼
As a Aygo-owner who is 1,52 meter tall (yeah I know its small) I think the seats are very comfortable and they give you a lot of side support. Comparing with the seats of my previous car the Citroën C1 from 2010. The seats of the C1 are just flat🤣 and About the clutch.. I have an automatic transmission (lazy driver)😂
Yes, the side support is genuinely nice compared to some of the small city cars out there, so good shout! I honestly think the automatic is the way to go on this particular car, you know. I know a lot of reviews say that it makes the car slower, the MPG's aren't as good, etc....but, I think because of how annoying the clutch is, I think the automatic could be the way to go. Hot take, I know 😂 Do you find that you've had any issues with the automatic? Very curious to know.
@@jamieaygo I have my Aygo for 2 years now, I bought her brand new. I must say I have so far no issues with the automatic transmission, it drives relaxed so you can fully pay attention on the road and the car accelerates on time so you use less petrol!
Perhaps it is more jarring for me having drove an Audi first and then this. My clutch was last replaced in 2021, so I don't think it is on its way out, per se. When it's due a service, I'll ask the garage to have a look at the clutch, too.
I have the Citroen C1 version and can confirm the part about the clutch;
Although isn’t that bad with the almost 75K kilometers on it.
Yes, you soon get used to it. It does catch you by surprise when coming from other cars, though.

This is absolute gold. Thank you!
How did you go about adjusting the clutch?

I like this and if I upgrade or "sidegrade" I'll definitely keep the auto in mind!
Ive never had a problem with my clutch
