This is hands down the best and most informative video on Components that I have seen. Thank you sincerely for taking the time to create this. I got my SL MK3 nearly 4 years ago and while it is simple enough to fire up and use the basic functions, complete command of the device has eluded me mostly from simply becoming frustrated trying to understand the finer points. You fill in the significant gaps in the manual and other Novation resources, and I thank you for that.
Great series, Harrison (my son's name. too)... at around the 7:30 mark you mention a link to a 40 minute video. But I don't see it.. I am having a very difficult time changing Patches on external synths when switching Sessions. Almost makes this board useless - and I have an email to support at Novation. But if you have any thoughts, please share.
So, this is per channel settings? Each of the 8 channels has their own template? What if I want to control the volume of each channel from the 8 faders on the SL no matter what channel is active? Basically the same as using the mute/solo buttons, independent control of the 8 channels without a channel being selected.
Hi and thanks for this helpful video. I was going to request a video about components and here it is! One question … when you design a new template and send it to the SL MK3, is there a location that you can put it in or some other way to tell the board, “This is the template I want you to use as a default every time I turn on the SL MK3?
Not a problem!!! So when you send a template to the board it will hold it in 1 of the 64 templates you place it into. My recommendation is to create the zones 1-8 with the templates you want. Then save a session with all the settings you want, usually the 1st one, but do this without any other changes, arps etc. That way, it's easy to recall anytime you want a default session with your templates ready to go.
With all the add-ons on the board you could probably most the most important knobs on cherry audio. However some of their plugins are full of knobs lol! But give it a try!

I think a peak is a great combo. I wonder if it works well with Cherry Audio vst's.
