That sucked I don’t have any suggestions but I appreciate you sharing that. I want a backup too but I sure won’t try that one.
It was a bit disappointing. When I looked at the reviews there were mentions of the same problems. I’m looking at two other pumps. Trying to decide which one I should try! Thanks for the comment

I ended up doing just that. Still problematic.
Were your flexible hoses 1/2? Which fittings did you buy?
Yes. I used the poly to pex brass fittings. Worked like a charm and no leaks.
