Excellent work and excellent videos Craig. Great demonstrations and explanations really enjoyable and informative. The best that I have seen on TH-cam.
Whooor, thanks so much mate I appreciate that & I’m really grateful Henry. I say it a lot but I truly am like, I didn’t think many people would enjoy the type of content I’m producing. It really is humbling to read comments like this. Thanks again Henry, have a great week mate 🤝
Thank you David, I’m really trying to get out the most valuable content I can. For new starters in the game, my subscribers who enjoy my content to my clients being able to view our work in detail. I appreciate that mate, thanks man 🙂🤝
Excellent video Craig, really liking the longer videos. Very informative and that brickwork was clean even before jointing. Really hope you do fine the time to cover more of this build.
Cheers man Martin thats really kind of you to say that. I was a bit concerned while I was editing the video that I was speaking to much and people would lose interest. Really appreciate that feedback mate, thank you. We recorded the whole build Martin 😃 I hope to have the next episode ready to share by the end of this week. Cheers again mate, really appreciate the support Martin 🤝
Cheers Logan, appreciate that mate. Ep2 & 3 are already on the channel on this build 😀 I’m hoping to get ep4 out tomorrow 🤩 Have a class weekend mate 🤝

Cheers man Dan I really appreciate that mate. I agree the site is easy, pinned corners and then just go 75mm all the way to the top 😂 dont get me wrong I do enjoy building houses, just not for the big players. To right, private work there is a lot more to think about. Appreciate that mate, tit means a lot coming from another bricky, to many enjoy slating others for no reason 😂 top bloke, cheers Dan 👊🤝
Isn’t 3,4,5 checking the diagonal ? If you’ve got it perfectly square using 345 any measurement along the lines will prove it’s accurate. Pythagoras. GCSE maths had some use after all 😂
@@marccooks7377 suppose it’s just the reverse way of doing it. Pull any line off a house wall at 3,4,5 and you know it’s perfectly square unless somewhere along the whole length of the house wall the line goes off

You are making this way to difficult, use a wooden stake in each corner, pull your line around each stake pull diagonal measurement, when that measurement is the same you are good, you move the line up or down to get your elevation
By far the best video explaining how things are done. Welldone
Cheers mate, I do really appreciate that 🙂

What did you use to established the high low points on th3 concrete
We use a laser level 🙂
How deep were the foundations Craig? Did they use re-bar? thanks
I’m unsure steve, we only did the brickwork. I assume they were at least 900mm and filled around 600 of concrete
@@CraigToddBrickwork thanks 👍
No
Np
Get yourselves a cross line laser and detector mate. You'll set out with better accuracy in fraction of the time.
Cheers mate, we have the laser for our hights, i’l look into that though 🙂🤝
You make it look too easy mate - did a DIY extension a few years back and it was tough going!
That same with anything though isnt it mate, you’l make your work look easy to me 🙂
Well done taking on your extension mate ❤️
why not just measure off the house and mark it on the block? Use corner blocks so lines are easily adjusted.
great tip mate, just showing other ways thats all :) Your right though, it would have probably been better to show it like you mentioned
Good explanation but all I do is line on the front of existing line on the back n measure back
Cheers mate appreciate that man 👌
Its always nice to hear how others do it too, nice tip there Kris 🤝
@@CraigToddBrickwork u carnt square off something out of square just follow the lines. It all runs as one. U will notice it when the floor goes down

Would have pulled a line off the front of the house and measured from there
each to their own isn't it david :)
How come you didn't check your diags?
Good question, i would have but probably missed recording it or in the edits for what ever reason 🤦♂️
