      I have seen this in patients who cut stone/brick and even in people who dump building waste.
      What is the life expectancy of a person with silicosis?
      The survival times of silicosis stage I , II and III, from the year of diagnosis to death, were 21.5, 15.8 and 6.8 years, respectively. There was 25 % of the silicosis patients whose survival time was beyond 33 y. The mean death age of all silicosis cases was 56.0 y

    I'm 71 years old and have completed major renovations both in the UK and in France. My dad was a builder and his dad was a builder. They used the line method all those years ago, (except is was feet and inches of course) so it is so good to see such a "young" builder using tried and trusted methods and producing high quality work. Well done "Izzy".

    Hi Izzy great informative videos and fun to watch . Just a question. So with the footings , I get uve cut the breeze blocks to set the level of the floor but is it ok to leave that run down in the level ? Will ground water not be tempted to run towards the existing old house wall and cause a damp area? Is it not better practice to add another thin layer of concrete ? Just a question that’s all so I understand if there are alternatives .

    • @IzzytheBricky
      @IzzytheBricky  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiya buddy, there's rarely any point adding more concrete to make it level. We'll make it level with the brickwork and block work cuts. There won't be damp running towards the house, as all the footings are tanked with Damp Proof Membrane and DPC. So the entire extension is watertight from the footings upwards 🙂

    Terrific work. My father was a forman bricklayer, in the days when local councils built houses, and he was a stickler for doing any job properly. He'd certainly give you a job. 👍🏻

      @@eyeopener1993 hi mate, yes that's correct. Splitting the block down to make up for the uneven footing

    Izzy mate, do you know that your technical mind would leave a lot of todays "bricklayers" standing there with their thumbs up their arses ! The work you put into correcting other peoples monstrosities is astonishing. If your client didnt see what you had to do they wouldn't be able to comprehend it. Well done sir, you're going to go a very long way indeed !

    Great job!! I've been working for the last few months as a Working supervisor. Luckily. All our heights are non structural for the external build. First main job doing this. Even though I would love to take on my own jobs. But the anxiety I get is close to crippling me! I get a good amount of my boss with positive feed back and in true terms if some thing goes wrong its ok but at nights! All I seam to hit is the what ifs. During work time its all ok but its the off time that really gets me. Even though I know everything is good. the worry if there is enough material on site to keep the guys working. I know it gets to a point but I really struggle with parts like that even when they know It might end!

    Well done Izzy , you are a quality workman what a fantastic job. People can see the quality of your building skills.
    Problem today is too many cowboys and rip off merchant’s. Very hard to get workmen you can trust to do a good quality job.
    I know only too well with past experience.

    I’m not often left with little to say about all things regarding brickwork but this video has changed that. First look all I could say was “holy shit”. That really was abysmal. By the end I was left saying “ that’s how it should look”. Well done yet again on another high quality example of how to go about doing a proper job. A pleasure to watch as always 💪🏻
