Wow glad you read my mind and answered lots of my questions as i have been doing tons of research into these airline career pilot programs recently, Thanks so much!
I lot of these pathway and cadet programs seem like a good opportunity, but my concern is the fines to pay if you don’t end up working for them for whatever reason, like lets say you found a better opportunity or quicker way to get to the mainline. Heard of people that took sign on bonuses or got some of their licences paid for by the program and then they wanted to quit but couldnt because they were tied to that agreement. If they quit they would have to pay the money back of the bonuses etc plus extra money for “damages”. Im planning on not taking any sign on bonuses and Im already a CFII but still concerned that they might want me to sign an agreement to commit to the program. I like to keep my options wide, you never know
There is always an obligation when you sign a contract and there are more instances of companies seeking damages for breaching those contracts. Each individual should do a cost benefit analysis before signing any contract. Many choose to not sign like yourself. It really comes down to personal preference and your personal situation.
Yes but make sure you look at all the scholarships for the instrument rating. Many give preference based on demographics such as age but the might still grant you the scholarship. I suggest looking towards the scholarships who offer non traditional scholarships. Hope this helps.
As someone who has a little older in life, 41, and keenly interested in the Destination 225 program, this podcast was very helpful.
I'm glad it helped. Remember to keep doing something every day to move towards your career goal.

Thanks again for the video, and I got one of scholarship guides. Once again I recommend Strumor Law for any Aviation law needs that you may have.
You are more than welcome. I hope the guide helps you and thanks for sharing your comments about Strumor Law.

Glad it was helpful. Your comment has inspired me to expand our careers section of our Aerospace Scholarships and Career Guide.

The pathway programs are awesome!
hi there! are there any scholarships for a 51 YO Instrument student?
