You have Sonic 1 - 3 & Knuckles, CD, 4 Episodes 1 and 2, Adventure 1 and 2, The Fighters, Unleashed, and Generations via backward compatibility, and Mania, Forces, Colors remastered, Frontiers, Origins Collection Plus, and soon, Superstars. Only games missing are Heroes, Shadow, and '06.
Heroes should definitely be on there! Shadow? Probably. And '06, despite it's infamous flaws, bugs, glitches and the kissing scene, it is very goofy to see it on Series X.
And it's STILL multiplatform. lol If Sega was smart, they would release their own console/handheld hybrid and make all their Sonic games exclusive for it, past, present, and future! The kids will follow. Sonic is the only franchise they seem to care about from Sega.

Brazil ported a lot of Game Gear games to the Master System over the decades, both official and unofficial. They were obsessed with the Master System so it saw the most ports. Thing is though, Game Gear had a smaller screen so when they ported them to Master System, there was a lot of wasted space on the screen.

You forgot to mention that the X360 version of Nights into dreams on the live arcade has Christmas nights meaning you can play as sonic there too. Also I never knew about Fighters Megamix and Mighty and Bark appearing there.
It wasn't exclusive to the XBOX 360. It was also on PS3. Also Christmas Nights and Nights into Dreams are both from the Sega Saturn. There's also the Steam version. I hate when people keep crediting XBOX 360 for Sega games when they simultaniously released on other platforms at the same time!!!!
@@macuser7048 Xbox 360 was my go-to console for most of these Sega releases around that time mainly because it was cheaper for me to get than the PS3 (plus having custom avatars that you could buy clothing for). The whole reason I even bought one in the first place was because I was really wanting to get Generations when it came out.

This is kinda made null by Origins existing on the platforms but the "SEGA Mega Drive Classics" Collection on current gen consoles don't have Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, so if you want S3&K on modern consoles you're gonna need to get Origins.
And since the Genesis versions of Spinball, Mean Bean Machine, and 3D Blast are excluded from Origins (despite now having their Game Gear counterparts) you will still need that other SEGA compilation just to play those games.

Interesting video, but admittedly after multiple views, it's pretty hard to follow. There's just too much, too fast, and not enough emphasis is given and time taken on those *exclusives* that make or break the top consoles. Also, I personally think that non-Sonic games where Sonic and friends are playable (ie. Super Smash Bros.) should be treated the same as those non-Sonic games where you can get Sonic skins for your character (ie. Fall Guys)... they shouldn't really be counted IMO. Also, not all Sonic re-releases are made equal. The original Sonic Genesis games are (or at least were?) on Xbox Live Arcade as part of the Sega Vintage Collection, but those versions kinda suck. But the original Sonic 3&K is there, so crappy version or not, that's still an advantage over much of the competition! Meanwhile, while Switch unfortunately only contains Sonic 1&2 in the Sega Ages series, these are two of the best, most faithful ports that (I believe...) are based on the original Genesis ROMs; either way they are very accurate to the originals in every way, yet they have some very nice, exclusive special modes and features (Knuckles in Sonic 2, Ring Keep mode, Drop Dash, force feedback, different game versions, accurate aspect ratio, decent scan line filters, etc...). On the other hand you've got Sonic Origins Plus based on Christian Whitehead/Headcannon versions of the Genesis classics built with a bunch of new features on a modern engine. Honestly, they're both great. With all the Retro-Bit and 8BitDo classic game controllers and the official NSO controllers, and not only Sonic Origins but possibly some of the best "faithful" versions of Sonic 1&2... I personally think Switch is best console for classic Sonic, blowing everything else away. Of course, there's also PC/Steam (if you bought the games before delisting), as well as the Sonic 3 Complete romhack, and Sonic 1 Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute and Sonic 3 AIR. I honestly think, for classic Sonic, Switch and PC are the way to go. All those retro third-party controllers work on both. Quantity is not always better than quality... I learned that the hard way from Nintendo and Rare back in the N64 days. ;)

1 thing I forgot was the Xbox One and Series S/X play Roblox games, and Sonic Speed Simulator IS an official Sonic Roblox game made by Sega.
There was also a Sega Genesis collection for PS2 as well as PSP. Those also both have some exclusive titles.

The game gear had backwards compatibility with the master system with an adapter so based on your rules should be at 17 on the game gear
Except the Master system games were already on the game gear, so we don't count them twice. The differences are too minor to count as different games.

If only 7th gen emulation would be strong enough for any of the consoles, maybe next gen, I want nothing more than a Nintendo console that can play them all, PC can literally play every single game but hopefully PS3 and 360 emulation gets better and becomes as good as dolphin emulator

Interesting video, but admittedly after multiple views, it's pretty hard to follow. There's just too much, too fast, and not enough emphasis is given and time taken on those *exclusives* that make or break the top consoles. Also, I personally think that non-Sonic games where Sonic and friends are playable (ie. Super Smash Bros.) should be treated the same as those non-Sonic games where you can get Sonic skins for your character (ie. Fall Guys)... they shouldn't really be counted IMO.
Also, not all Sonic re-releases are made equal. The original Sonic Genesis games are (or at least were?) on Xbox Live Arcade as part of the Sega Vintage Collection, but those versions kinda suck. But the original Sonic 3&K is there, so crappy version or not, that's still an advantage over much of the competition!
Meanwhile, while Switch unfortunately only contains Sonic 1&2 in the Sega Ages series, these are two of the best, most faithful ports that (I believe...) are based on the original Genesis ROMs; either way they are very accurate to the originals in every way, yet they have some very nice, exclusive special modes and features (Knuckles in Sonic 2, Ring Keep mode, Drop Dash, force feedback, different game versions, accurate aspect ratio, decent scan line filters, etc...). On the other hand you've got Sonic Origins Plus based on Christian Whitehead/Headcannon versions of the Genesis classics built with a bunch of new features on a modern engine. Honestly, they're both great.
With all the Retro-Bit and 8BitDo classic game controllers and the official NSO controllers, and not only Sonic Origins but possibly some of the best "faithful" versions of Sonic 1&2... I personally think Switch is best console for classic Sonic, blowing everything else away.
Of course, there's also PC/Steam (if you bought the games before delisting), as well as the Sonic 3 Complete romhack, and Sonic 1 Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute and Sonic 3 AIR. I honestly think, for classic Sonic, Switch and PC are the way to go. All those retro third-party controllers work on both.
Quantity is not always better than quality... I learned that the hard way from Nintendo and Rare back in the N64 days. ;)
