Ohh man thats a lot of work for just changing airfilter and plugs.. İ cant belive it. I just bought my versys 2weeks ago. Before i had a bmw boxer. So easy to do such works. Now i do understand why travellers ride bmw GS
Funny that, I've sold the Versys as I don't commute any more and I use my Boxer R1100R for most fun days out. A real joy to work on that for most things.
@@nogaragerequiredmy first big bike was a R1150R roadster.. That was a lovely bike.. But i made a mistake and sold it after 1 riding because i wasnt enough experienced for that bike.
I like that color, looking at an orange one with not that many km, it is a bit far away though. That grey might be more my color. Servicing looks easy and cheap, any flaws?
Only flaw I’ve really noticed is a buzzing from the clocks at a certain rpm. It’s just the clocks rubbing against the housing. Other than that it is a solid all rounder.
@@nogaragerequired I would say maintenance on pre electronic boxers was engineered for easy maintenance. At least my BMWs even came with an air pump in the frame and a complete toolset+box, and tire irons too. There wasn't anything I couldn't do in minutes by unscrewing just one or two (forks) things. The only thing that was a slight complexity was the alternator.
thanks for building up our confidence to DIY ourselves.
OK thanks for the demo, I can see why I've been putting it off. Looks pretty hard to do 🤯
Its not too bad, I went slow and steady and found it ok. If you can use a screwdriver and assemble IKEA furniture you can do this job.
Great video, always nice to check out before attempting on this bike for the first time. Every machine is slightly different.
Great video, sound experience not quite so good.
Nice looking bike. I wish I had the black swingarm on my 2011 650.
great instructional vid, would even be better without that loud music.
Excelente video. Yo no se cómo sacas el conector del estanque de combustible con tanta facilidad, yo aún no lo he logrado.

Take it easy with music volume. Can barely hear you when you are talking and im deaf when the music starts
Thanks for letting me know. I think I’ve managed to sort that out now.

It’s to much work to change service items that has to be much easier
Music to dam loud.
Cheers for the feedback, I’ve gotten that fixed in my future videos.
Mileage on your bike?
I’m on 24000, about 20k when I recorded this video.
20,000 kms or miles?@@nogaragerequired
Japanese never give consideration to engineering easy maintenance.
You say that but I’ve recently bought an older BMW bike and the tank has to be removed to get to the battery. Seems they all have quirks.
