A place to store all the changes and maintenance I do to my bikes, cars and show that we all don't need a garage to work on our bikes. I do all the work on my driveway using simple hand tools.
Mini Cooper R50 Numberplate light replacement
A quick one showing how to replace the bulbs in the Mini Cooper R50 licence/registration plate light. Its a nice simple job and one that I'm glad I caught before my MOT as it can be a failure or advisory if the number plate is not sufficiently illuminated.

BMW K100RS a bolt on phone mount solution
มุมมอง 66หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a souliton for mounting your phone to the K100 series of bikes. I use a QuadLock set up on my phone and with my other bikes. However there isn't an official solution available for the K100 so I found a third party one that could be adapted and made to work on the bike. BMW K100RS EBC Braided Brake Lines
มุมมอง 1013 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I completely change the front brake lines from the stock rubber lines to braided brake lines from EBC. This was the only kit I found that seemed to be a direct replacement. All of this is being done to improve the brake feel and keep the bike roadworthy.
BMW K100RS Replacing the lights in the dashboard
มุมมอง 1603 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a short how to on removing the breadbox/dashboard/clocks on the K100RS with out removing the fairings. Then how to split the unit to gain access to all the idiot lights and bulbs that live in the dashboard. There are two types of bulbs in there so if you are replacing them do check first which you need. I was lucky and it was the indicator bulb that had gone and I did have a spare to hand.
Mini Cooper R50 Brake Master Cylinder Replacement
มุมมอง 3783 หลายเดือนก่อน
I've had a few instances now where the brake pedal once in a while will need to go closer to the floor to engage the brakes. immediately after that it's al fine again. Since I'm unsure where the issue is after looking for leaks in the system I've gone with a gut call to replace the brake master cylinder. This job really only took me about 2 hours end to end and is easily doable with very little...

The price was very low. I hope that you managed to get everything right on it. Nice video bro. Enjoyed.
I got it all sorted and I’ve been really enjoying riding it. I got a few little modifications I’d like to make before a ground up clean and repaint.
@@nogaragerequired I see. The R1100 is a nice choice. I think better than the 1150. :) Can check my content when you can. Cheers bro.
I have had one fitted to my R1100RT for two years. It's made the idle smoother and low speed jerkiness when on and off the throttle has gone. Haven't noticed any difference in the mpg, still around 45-50 mpg. My bike is a stock UK model.
I’m glad it’s worked for you, I do wonder if it’s my combination of changes that doesn’t help the mpg.
Hi my bike has oil coming out the stator side and I seem to have found a hole is that supposed to be like that
what did you do to fix?
It needed a new water pump seal as that was the main issue and while we were in everything cleaning we replaced the two o rings in the cooler.
Doees it come with one of the snaller mics without an arm? Because i have a full face helmet
Yes mine did.
Thanks for video,l have an r1100rs and have been having trouble starting the bike.I have renewed all tank hoses and filter also fuel pump.New Bosch hall sensor, seems to have done everything that l can think of apart from fuel pressure Sensor. It seems to me to be the only part l haven't replaced, was this a big job as l see in the Haynes manual that the rear subframe needs moved?.Bike getting spark and has new Bosch starter. It a 1996 with 50,000mls many thanks
It's actually not too bad to replace the fuel pressure regulator, the subframe can be lifted and rotated to allow access. I think it took me about an hour or two to swap out mine.
@@nogaragerequiredthanks for that, will replace and double check hall sensor and hopefully sort the problem 👍
Where the clip ons from please ..? Thanks for the video
These were off of Amazon amzn.to/3Cvanb6
@@nogaragerequired Thanks
2 o rings ?
Definitely easier than polishing. And way less messy.
Du hast "der Gabeldichtung ersetzt!" Gabel=fork Dichtung=seal. At least I think that's how it goes :D And thanks very much for the great video and direct method that you've shown me! Now I'm going to try that on my RT!
Can you provide the link to where the fuel pump kit can be ordered from?
It was an eBay purchase, that link is no longer active. Sorry
Were you able to figure out what it was? Fuel pump or Hall effect sensor?
It was the Hall effect sensor in the end. Not a terrible job to replace just a little expensive as I went for the Bosch version.
oops sorry mate, you meant 20 pounds. That's OK now. Did not see the rest of the comments.
200 sterling pounds for 2 pieces of plastic and 6 bolts with washers ? Are you kidding me. Fuckin rip off.
he misspoke its 20
Hi gain from Canada, looks pretty straight forward. Is it necessary to remove the spark plugs to get the valve cover off?
I’m not sure. I’ve always done the plugs at the same time with the valves since fresh plugs are cheap.
Makes sense.. I just realized that I'll need plugs put anyway to turn over engine.. Compression. What's a bike like that going for $ in the UK these days?
I got mine for £850 but as a non runner. The HES needed replacement, so 150ish fixed that. Generally they go for around £1300-2000 depending on the condition.
@@nogaragerequiredsimilar to here. I got 1998 R1100r, good running, new tires and a few things $3300 Canadian $ it's a USA bike in miles, only 30,000 miles. I'd send a pic but can't do it on here. I like it. Fun to ride.
Thanks man that was clear and helpful
Could you maybe share a link to this item? I have exactly the same bike and would like to by the same headlamp but I am not sure which one is it exactly. Thanks
Which handle bar did you buy and do you have a website where to buy it ?
it was the ABM Handlebar conversion kit for the 93-96 model, I ended up getting it from eBay. The link I used to buy is now inactive so you'll have to search.
Why is the exhaust hanging so low
It’s because it’s a non oem one. This design is all mounted correctly but the pipe is just low it seems. All the hangers are new and mounted all ok.
What kind of ending it is ?
thank you for sharing , got a ducati 1098S and I was having this issue for the longest this helped me a lot! keep up the good work! and ride safe!
Is there a video of how this works on a motorcycle?
I don't, I screwed up recording it but I think I'll add one in the future. Its not a bad job and reasonably easy to connect up and rotate the sensor to get it set up right.
Bigger tip😼
Hello, "No Garage Required" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channnel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or email?
Do you have a link to those mirrors?
The link for the ones I bought are in the description they may be out of stock as they were cheap Chinese ones. amzn.to/3NS3Wkz

What size spark plug socket did u use? I have a 16 but it doesn't fit in the spark plug case hole
I have a thin walled one that fitted perfectly. I think mine was an eBay purchase.
How much torque for the assembling screws?
Caliper to fork(front) and caliper to rear mount, 32nm. The bolts for assembling the caliper halves is 30nm
A disaster movie. You have had a year to re-do this video.
I'm a big fan of refilling from the bottom with a large syringe then bleeding back down to finish just don't forget to put some tissue in the top reservoir because it will spurt out, well done 👍👍👍
That’s next on my shopping list l, anything to make brake bleeding easier.
How much oil did you put in it?
About 3.5 ish litres. It varies a little but always around that.
My poor baby 😂😢
How can it be the oil cooler. It's not water cooled
The oil and coolant were mixing, suspect the water pump seal. The working hypothesis is they mixed and got flushed through the system as the bike was running so it's gone all around the cooling system. Radiator pipes, radiator, water pump all covered in similar milky goo
You have the spending bug like i have on mine lol
It can be an issue, I find winter can be bad for buying things too.
@@nogaragerequired Dont matter what you spend on it it will always surge...Uprated injectors...New coil and leads..Brisk plugs..Dont stop them surging...The wiring deacays...Hall sensor..Ignition wiring and wiring from the tank...Hyperpro springs need putting on and footrest lowering kit and gear and brake extensions...Ebay sells the same stuff motorworks do...They are heavy beasts waiting to damage us...Paid 2500 for it and spent 2 grand on it...Its a 2002 850 r with 19000 miles on it....Also change brake hoses to goodridge because the old ones will be shot...Knew i should have got a jap bike
Hi, I'm from Poland, I don't speak the language very well, so I apologize in advance. I need a diagram of connecting the ignition module (computer) to Pulse Adrenaline 250. I don't have motorcycles like that, but I bought one imported from England with a burnt electrical installation and I don't know which wire to connect to which pin in the module. Thank you in advance for your help
Sorry I don’t have that either. Might be worth the Facebook groups they could help perhaps?
Thanks for the video…..So why had it jammed in and what did you do to prevent it happening again? Was it jammed with dirt or something? I didn’t see you do any remedial work.
It was jammed due to dirt if I remember correctly.
I've done many of the same mods on my 2011 Versus. Including dash cam, Atlas throttle lock. Also, went down 2 teeth at rear sprocket, big improvement on long highway rides.
I am about to try this. I don't understand how you can turn the left handlebar and get the right tube to get misaligned so that it can be pulled out. The lower forks are tied together with a steel plate, and the wheel is still tight to the axle. How can the whole assembly flex enough for the tube to come out past the top fork? The left fork tube is still tight to the top plate! I'm missing something here. I will report back in a week or two after I try it.
I wondered the same thing when I read how it could be done. That’s why I thought showing it would help. There is enough wiggle room for you to access the top and it’ll make sense when you try.
Seems like your just saying how you changed it
Great video! Really appreciate it!
It's Nice you do a lot of action out of the picture😂
I want to do that... 50 quid seems like a deal for the headlamp.
It’s been a while and it’s holding up well, I’d say go for it!
Got it done, not so bad. I have a 2011 Yamaha Stryker, took it in for inspection, needed fork seals, $440 Canadian. Thanks for your help.
throttle bodies or fuel pump
It turned out to be the hall effect sensor in the end
Super useful info! I’m Rebuilding a r850r which is essentially the same bike, love seeing the upgrades you try out !
Prepare to spend thousands on it
Anyone else getting an echo?
Love your videos as I’ve got a r1100r of my own, and appreciate some content on the bike!
You should undo the filter first, in case you can't get it off.
I find that to be process to be true on changing the final drive oil or gearbox oil. For those I always check the fill plug can be opened before draining but for the engine oil if you can’t get the filter off you can always pop in the fresh oil and continue to ride while you figure out why it’s not coming off.
Hey, so are you saying the R1100GS/ S triple clamp and bars will fit the R1100R?
Yes, from what I’ve found out and all the parts fiche diagrams. It looks like the GS top clamp is a direct bolt on which allows you to use the stock bars. I’ve not done the research on the S for the clip on style.
@@nogaragerequired Thank you for that info. I've been trying to find some that has done the conversion or that would even mention the possibility of it being done.
Can you share the hand guard model?
The hand guards were from my original bars.
The balance must be done at idle and also at 3000 rpm. The 3000 rpm balance must be done via the throttle cables not the idle screw. 1. Do the idle 2. Do the 3000 rpm, 3. check the idle again.
