The worst part is that french antarctica was a real thing, in the early years of brazilian colonization the french stuck around for a few years, before being kicked off by the portuguese, and they named the territory french antarctica.

Once they appear a galactic community proposal comes up to ally against the scourge, also 2 out of the 4 types of fallen empires have the ability to awaken when a crisis appears and fight it.

Russia and Poland-Lithuania working together against a hostile invader was the biggest twist of this campaign. Especially since Russia never existed in this Mega-Campaign otherwise so it was the first time Poland ever met them and they actually became friends! I don't even think they ever went to war with Russia.
I can just imagine Polish-Lithuanian and Russian space armies rushing in to destroy the scrouge
Dont forget Sweden and Rwanda, they contributed to eliminating the scourge too.

About the Stellaris bit, I was surprised to see they actually beat the Scourge. I guess because he is only using a few premade starting empires (excluding Fallen and Marauders) in a medium+ galaxy, they have more space for themselves and thus are stronger individually to be able to face it. Were they like 20+ nations on the map they'd all be ran over by the Scourge with no effort on their part.
